Already in agony as a result of his body's slow mutation from human form to that of an anthropomorphic raccoon the last phase of experiments pushed him over the edge, while simultaneously triggering a cascade of mutations that rapidly unleashed his full psionic potential in a raw explosion of power that completely devastated the facility, leaving it little more than a crater with Nightmask unconscious at the center. Filled with remorse Charles was forced to change his original intentions of releasing the technology and instead set about looking to recruit individuals he could supply with custom X-technology armors to use to oppose Erik’s world-conquering schemes. Unfortunately the early suits he was able to craft proved problematic, as his efforts to locate suitable matches only led to young adults rather than adults. Forced to adapt to the circumstances he recruited the five teens through various means and set about training them in the usage of the systems in preparation for the conflict he knew would soon come. And these examples are only the ideas of someone a bit older than an 18 year old (and decidedly not much better than Typical intelligence) could come up with. There are ideas someone with a 40 in mental faculties would have that I can't even conceive.

I suppose it's a sign of the Silver Age that such an elevated enlightened being would still come to the same conclusion that an 18-year old would: The best use of these awesome capabilities is to fight crime. :)

I imagine he'd do his best to exploit every aspect of his powers including his RIP increase. Certainly he'd want to turn villain technology where possible into beneficial technology instead. Tons of tech-using villains have tech that would be incredibly beneficial to the world, like Controller's technology. He built that full-mobility suit he grafted to himself that turned him from full paralysis into full mobility and it runs on his psionic energy so never needs recharging and the psi-energy to electrical-energy part of that could just about eliminate energy dependency from the world.]]>

Robotic Transformation: As a result of the bizarre merging with the alien technology and his unique physiology Metallix is capable of transforming from a being of flesh and blood to a machine analog of all his biological functions. As such he has the machine equivalents of kidneys, lungs, heart, liver, etc. This transformation process is virtually instantaneous and lasts indefinitely, even remaining transformed while unconscious. Only death will cause him to revert to his original organic self. This provides him with a number of special powers and abilities as follows:
-Body Armor providing Excellent protection from most physical and energy attacks, lowered to typical against corrosives.
-The machine equivalents of his sensory organs provides him with Remarkable rank senses across the board, including increased sense of balance and sense of gravity.
-The transformation not only provides for enhanced physical abilities but improves his Reason and Intuition as well while transformed. This boost also includes enhanced recall of virtually anything he’s ever experienced effectively giving him Amazing rank Total Memory.
-Remarkable rank ability to breathe virtually any non-corrosive atmosphere (toxic gases will automatically be converted to something harmless when reverting to flesh and blood).
-Remarkable rank ability to consume virtually any non-corrosive solid or liquid (all such substances will automatically convert into non-toxic, harmless substances upon reversion to flesh and blood).
-Damage carries over between forms, in a proportional fashion (if he’s down 10% health in human form he’s down 10% health in robotic form, if he takes 25% damage in robotic form he’ll be similarly damaged by 25% when returning to human form).

Abraham is the only child of Martha and George Cooper, who grew up as a fairly popular young man active in sports and academics. Upon reaching the location he found an odd metallic lump at the bottom of a crater that was suspiciously lacking in the kinds of temperatures you’d expect from such an event. Excitement overrode caution as he entered the crater to retrieve the lump only for it to prove to be some kind of alien nano-technology. As it attempted to consume his body it triggered something in his DNA causing his body to undergo an astounding transformation, absorbing and assimilating it until becoming a true machine analog of his original self.

Initially terrified of what had occurred Abraham’s increased intelligence and strong will allowed him to regain control over himself. Careful inspection of his new form gave him some understanding of the drastic changes he’d undergone and after hours of struggle learned how to return to his organic form. Several weeks later as he learned more about the changes he’d undergone he decided to exploit his new abilities in the grandiose fashion he could think of: he would become a super-hero. Given his new form was that of a machine he decided to pretend to be a robot programmed to battle evil by some secret organization and took up the name Metallix for all to know him by!

I still disagree with DC Comics interpretation that willpower is an emotion. I'm fine with the whole emotional spectrum thing, but really I think courage would have been a better way to express what Green Lanterns tap into. They have to be fearless,or rather be able to overcome fear, which says courage. Willpower could be a way for any emotion to be expressed to focus the power of the rings.

Yes, yes, I know courage would be more in theme but DC kept it as 'willpower' as an obvious holdover from when there was ONLY the power of green and Sinestro's power of yellow never explained. Since the character is a kid from the Marvel universe that dreamed the DCU he's going to think of it as 'willpower' instead of 'courage' as well. Meanwhile any feedback on the actual character?]]>

POWERS

Flight (Winged): Warren possesses a pair of white-feathered wings spanning roughly 16’ that allow him to fly. His normal flight speed is Excellent when looking for long-duration flight, by pushing himself to his maximum he can fly at up to Unearthly air speeds although must make an Endurance feat for every round after the second with failure requiring resting for two rounds and automatically having to rest after ten rounds of sustained maximum speed. It’s possible on a power dive for him to reach Shift-X speeds but will require a red feat against his Amazing rank skill in all aerial maneuvers to avoid losing control and crashing into the ground or target resulting in Excellent damage. Warren can generally carry up to 200lbs in flight more requires making a successful Strength feat in order to succeed.

Aerial Adaptation: Due to his avian physiology Warren has a number of adaptations in order for him to fly. His bones are hollow and lighter than normal and his metabolism and other features are optimized for flight. He can survive on far less oxygen than normal humans which allows him to breathe normally miles above the Earth’s surface, tolerate lower air pressure (being capable of flying to the highest level a bird has ever been known to fly), Remarkable tolerance for cold temperatures and can breathe and see normally even while exposed to high velocity air (he’s been known to ‘hitch’ rides on airplanes for long-distance flights outside his Endurance range). His visual acuity also rivals that of predatory birds granting him all checks for spotting things from the air on the Monstrous column.

Demonic Transformation: As a result of being possessed by the demonic Zarathos Warren can transform into a flaming skeletal version of himself with wings of hellfire, in this form his abilities are considerably enhanced and he gains the following abilities:
-Unleash hellfire to create walls and barriers up to one area away, these flames are up to Amazing intensity.
-Throw fireballs or unleash flaming blasts of up to Amazing intensity up to 4 areas away.
-Create hellfire constructs similar to the original Ghost Rider, although with his flight capabilities Warren rarely uses this ability.
-Unleash a cold hellfire that does no physical damage but burns the soul instead. This Amazing intensity magical attack requires the target to make a successful Endurance feat or lose 1CS of Psyche permanently (may be increased as usual). If the Psyche is brought below Feeble their soul is irretrievably lost and all that’s left is an empty shell. Survivors of this attack if of evil nature may choose to redeem themselves and turn their lives around instead after enduring this hellish torture.

WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS

Zarathos is constantly struggling for control with Warren, as such when he’s transformed into his Hell’s Angel form he must make a Yellow Psyche feat roll to remain in control. Failure to remain in control will result in Zarathos taking control and seeking out targets deserving of having vengeance meted out onto them. Once control is lost Warren must make a Red Psyche feat to regain control (karma may be used) and can only make this check every ten minutes or when Zarathos is preparing to mete out vengeance against someone.

HISTORY

Warren’s history is the same as Earth-616’s Angel up until his short-lived membership in the Champions of Los Angeles. An attempt by an enemy of Ghost Rider/Zarathos to claim his soul ended up with it being permanently transferred into Angel instead. Filled with the rage and bloodlust of Zarathos Angel returned to Professor X who engaged in extensive training and therapy in order to help Warren deal with his new limits in life. While only partially successful Warren still does his best to channel Zarathos’ lust for vengeance into constructive channels.

When he first left the X-Men he belonged to a West Coast hero team called the Champions of Los Angeles. PERSONALITY

Unsurprisingly Warren’s personality has undergone drastic changes as a result of his merging with Zarathos. His grim and serious nature puts Cyclops and Wolverine to shame (and after a brief battle that left Wolverine burned by hellfire the two are extremely antagonistic towards one another) due to his having to keep strict control over his emotions at all time and helped along by the telepathic barriers and controls implanted into his mind by Xavier to help him contain Zarathos. Much like Morbius when he tried to target only evil people to feed on Warren does his best to channel Zarathos towards the truly deserving (as a result the events of Mutant Massacre were cut short as he gave Zarathos full rein resulting in the extinguishing of their souls and Colossus, Kitty Pryde and Nightwalker ended up uninjured).]]>

POWERS

Power Ring Creation: Guardian has the Unearthly ability to create ring-shaped devices capable of accessing the energies of the Emotional Spectrum for a variety of effects. Each ring is tuned to a particular energy (Green-Willpower, Blue-Hope, Yellow-Fear, Orange-Avarice, Red-Rage, Indigo-Compassion, Violet-Love) at the time of creation although can be re-tuned on a successful Yellow power feat at a later date. While all rings have a number of default abilities some features are dependent on a particular energy to function and some energies have strengths and weaknesses against others. Currently Guardian can only create rings capable of manipulating the Green energy of Willpower, further types of rings accessing different energies are possible via power stunt.

Energy Source Creation: Along with being able to create power rings Guardian has the Unearthly rank ability to create lantern-shaped power batteries to charge them. These batteries can be of varying sizes and continuously absorb Emotional Spectrum energy from the environment for later use and like the rings must be aligned with a particular energy in the Spectrum. Miniature power batteries roughly the size of the palm are capable of storing enough energy for a single ring recharge before being exhausted and requiring either a day’s worth of time to recharge or recharging off a larger power battery. They can function as Remarkable rank energy sources until the charge is depleted. The standard-size batteries are roughly a foot and a half in height and function as Monstrous rank power sources and are unlikely to be depleted even with repeated regular use. The 10’ tall version functions as a Shift-X rank energy source and if linked to smaller batteries can maintain their charge indefinitely so long as the link is active.
The most difficult and challenging energy source to create is a central power battery. Standing over 1000’ tall this massive device qualifies as a CL1000 energy source capable of endlessly providing power to a nearly unlimited number of power batteries. Unlike the previous batteries which can be created within minutes a central power battery (save for one) requires locating a proper location (Green Reason Feat) and over a month of carefully shaping the local environment into a single massive battery. The only Central Power Battery that does not follow this model is the Central Power Battery for Orange power rings due to the unique nature of Avarice its battery is merely a bit larger (roughly 2’ in height) compared to a standard power battery.


EQUIPMENT

Green Power Ring: Guardian wields a green power ring worn on his left hand middle finger. This powerful device provides a number of abilities to its wielder including but not necessarily limited to the following:
-True Flight at Psyche +1CS in an atmosphere and CL1000 speeds in space.
-Generate gateways to other locations while traveling through space, providing virtually unlimited range and nearly instantaneously travel to anywhere in the universe.
-Create Energy Constructs capable of replicating anything Guardian can imagine, limited only by his ability to fully imagine the objects in question. This power functions at Psyche rank ability.
-Shroud the wearer in an energy sheath providing Psyche +1CS protection from hazardous environments and damaging situations and removing the need for food, water and air while the ring is worn and charged.
-Amazing rank Linguistics, automatically translating any language detected into a language understood by its wearer.
-The ring possesses a highly advanced artificial intelligence, this intelligence possesses a Remarkable Reason and Intuition and a Psyche equal to its wearer allowing it to provide analytical support, data mining, and other related services. It may also be commanded to provide extensive scanning features and data analysis when ordered.
-A full charge will generally last 24 hrs before the ring requires recharging, although extensive use can shorten this considerably (ring can be ordered to automatically provide warnings based on charge level and will automatically provide warnings when at 10% or less). Ring must be recharged by placing it against a suitable power battery, recharging is automatic and takes roughly 5 turns to complete.
-The ring is security locked to Guardian through genetic scan and mental link, as such only Guardian may make use of it unless he explicitly orders the ring to work for another.
-Instantly transform between his current clothes and his costume and back again at will.
-Alters his physical appearance in order to make identifying him more difficult, making him seem taller and more muscular.

Mini Green Power Battery: Guardian carries one small green power battery around with him at all times in case of emergencies. He has hidden and stored in various locations a power ring and mini battery for emergency use.

Power Battery: Guardian maintains several power batteries for regular and emergency use. His primary battery sits proudly in his room where it’s dismissed as junk.

HISTORY

Young Calvin appeared to be a normal child until he reached first grade and began having extremely vivid dreams of another world, a world of fantastic heroes and villains capable of godlike feats. In particular these dreams focused on a group of blue-skinned dwarf-like aliens and the legion of followers that served them in trying to bring order to the universe. He frequently told these stories to his parents and other kids until they started treating him oddly, wondering if their might be something wrong with him with how obsessed he was with these dreams of his. Eventually in middle school he stopped sharing these tales and tried to fit in, studying hard and getting involved in sports where he mad minor successes.

By the time he reached his senior year he’d managed to earn some recognition for his athletic accomplishments but he cared little for them seeing them as just the facade he presented to everyone else in order to fit in. He was still obsessed with the fantastic other world he saw in his dreams, so much so he’d practiced extensively in various artistic fields in order to depict what he saw so vividly in his mind. It was during his efforts to recreate the ring and lantern used by the aliens’ followers that something fantastic occurred: the lantern actually started glowing and the ring actually floated over to it and absorbed the glow! To his disbelief he picked up the ring and put it on and actually felt something, like they were connecting somehow. What he’d created had become real!

It took some time before Calvin calmed down enough to accept the new reality, that he had a real lantern and ring just like he’d seen in his dreams.

Hyper-dimensional Awareness: Due to his ability to manipulate the fabric of space and time Mobius is acutely aware of the surrounding multi-dimensional space-time around him and can sense disturbances within it with Incredible ability. As such he can detect a number of things in his surroundings, including but not limited to the following: gravity waves, teleportation into and out of his surroundings, the opening of dimensional and temporal portals, ripples in space/time, etc. His awareness is sufficiently acute that he’s aware of where he is at all times and can locate anywhere he’s been with pinpoint accuracy.


Resistance to Spacial and Temporal Manipulation: Mobius is extremely resistant to effects that come about from attempting to manipulate space or time, as a result attempts to teleport him against his will, displace him through time, erase him from existence, etc will have to overcome his Monstrous resistance to all such effects.

True Flight: By manipulating the fabric of space Mobius is capable of flying at Amazing speeds and is capable of easily traveling into space (although requires some means of protection from the environment of space in order to do so safely).

HISTORY

Jordan is the only child of Melissa and Robert White, a couple of moderate wealth that run a salvage and scrap metal recycling business. Exposure to a discarded radiotherapy isotope illegally sent to them for recycling altered their genes just enough to result in Jordan’s mutant nature.

Even as a child his latent mutations had an influence on him, resulting in his rapid physical development and growth. As they awakened during puberty he quickly found he could use them to cheat at games of chance like darts and took to using his powers to earn money in legitimate and illegitimate ways, both to practice and hone his powers as well as live comfortably on more than just the small allowance his parents provided him. Realizing he’d been wasting his potential after saving an innocent bystander during a police shootout he decided to adopt the heroic identity of Mobius and make something of his life.

HISTORY

Jacob Blayne was always a monster from his earliest days, concerned only with the pleasure he could get from inflicting pain on others and the pleasures money could buy. As a result he devoted himself to hunting and killing and working to profit off the sale of animals living and dead. This insatiable desire of his earned him much hate from a variety of individuals and groups, even many poachers and animal traffickers wanted little or nothing to do with him. Eventually some from both sides of the table entered into an enemy mine situation, arranging to trap Jacob in a cave and demolishing the entrance in order to seal him away forever. Or at least that was their intent, the results were quite different.

Ancient evils that had festered for untold ages lay in the depths of the caves, evils that found a kindred spirit in Jacob. Evils that held the power to make him more than he was, to give him powers suited to his evil ends and unleash evil in their name upon the world once more. Empowered by them and sent from the cave by their power he set about exacting revenge on everyone involved in his entrapment and betrayal, subjecting them to worst of fates, to be hunted by him while helpless to truly defend themselves. Regeneration: Unlike previous versions Bochs' new body has self-repair systems capable of healing it at Good speeds, as well as allowing him to assimilate nearby materials to replace missing or destroyed portions of his body. Only the complete destruction of his physical form will prevent him from eventually regenerating his entire physical structure.

Resistance to External Control: Due to his issues with having his previous forms usurped by others Bochs built his new body with extensive systems to prevent any form of external control including powers that manipulate matter or technology such as Madison Jeffries does. As a result he enjoys Unearthly protection from all such attempts to control his body externally.

HISTORY

The original Roger Bochs met his end at the hands of the insane flesh-manipulating mutant known as Scramble, the brother of Madison Jeffries. This was not the true end of Roger Bochs, or at least not of his consciousness. During his time working with Madison Jeffries in creating his new Box unit and other technology they functioned as a pair with Jeffries somehow able to channel Roger's genius through himself to rapidly create new machinery through touching his head. This interfacing unbeknownst to them effectively leaving a copy of Roger's mind imprinted in Madison's subconscious.

Soon after the death of the original that copy began acting through Jeffries as it exerted greater and greater control until finally achieving sufficient awareness to make use of Jeffries powers to fashion for himself a new body to transfer into, one that was physically perfect and rivaled if not exceeded his previous creations. Transferred into this new shell he could once again walk the world as Box!

Robert Benson was a fairly unassuming young man who would have lived an otherwise uneventful life except that destiny intervened to force if not greatness at least significance upon him. A world where Nazi Germany managed to remain in power (albeit without conquering the world as it wished and being restricted to more limited conquests) had decided that if it couldn't expand as it wished on its Earth that it would expand into parallel earths instead. Selection: Mindstorm possesses a range of powers but is limited to one of 4 sets of three powers at a time, whether this is a psychological limitation or a hard-wired restriction on her abilities is currently unknown. While not quite a child prodigy Cecilia Walker was still of exceptional ability, enough so to have managed to qualify for the bar as well as managing a secondary degree in business. Soon employed by a major firm she dove into the depths until she was near drowning from endless work. Realizing she was close to burning out (helped along by medical advice after near collapse at work) that she needed some extensive downtime and moderation in her work if she wanted to make it to 30. During her downtime she got caught up by YouTube videos dealing with abandoned towns and mysterious places and decided to travel around checking out some on her own, feeling the outdoors and completely natural environment would help speed her recovery.

It was in an abandoned and forgotten mining town where fate stepped in and changed everything about how she related to the world. All that was known about it was that it was considered one of the many cursed mining towns where unexplained sickness and death resulted in the town being depopulated by the survivors. How could they have known that there was a particularly high concentration of radioactive materials in the area leading to the strange illnesses and death? Certainly it wasn't something Cecilia knew of when she pulled into the forgotten town and began her exploring. It was her wondering around the hillsides collecting video of her latest destination that got her caught in a landslide that buried her in what for most anyone else would have been a lethally radioactive mound of dirt.

Bathed in radiation dormant genes looking for the right trigger to activate sprang to life, her entire genetic code being rewritten to release her fabulous powers and hidden potential. Easily digging her way free she wasn't confused long about what had happened, she'd had more than a few cases around her law firm regarding superhumans to easily work out she was now also one. In that deserted town she learned much about what she could and couldn't do before returning to her job. She also realized how much more she could do to help beyond what she could already do as a lawyer and adopted her own super-hero identity: Mindstorm!

EQUIPMENT

Cloak of Levitation: The product of an ancient and virtually forgotten creator the Cloak is an Incredible material strength item capable of granting magical flight up to Shift X rank, although one requires some means of protection in order to breathe at speeds above Remarkable (Stark uses a minor magical spell for this). It can respond to its owner’s mental commands at an unknown but vast distance away and is considered as having Incredible strength for the purposes of how much weight it may carry. The cloak is capable of amazing feats, including tripping or entangling opponents and can even conceal itself within objects like a hollow staff with a simple mental command. A common tactic is to use it to move his body while astrally projecting in order to move it to a safer location.

Eye of Agamotto: Identical to its Earth-616 counterpart the Eye grants a number of special powers to Stark. Drawing on its wielder’s willpower it performs the following at Unearthly level unless otherwise specified:
-Radiate a blinding mystical light capable of the following: See through disguises; invoke images of the immediate past; track both corporeal as well as ethereal beings by their mystical or Psionic essence.
-Grant a +2CS to mental powers or spells that contact or probe the minds of others (Telepathy, Mind Probe, Mind Control). When doing so the eye will detach from the broach and attach itself to the center of Stark’s forehead.
-Open dimensional apertures on a successful Psyche feat. When doing so it will separate from the broach and expand to the desired size and open to reveal a gateway to other dimensions.
-Exposure to the mystical light of the eye can seriously weaken monsters and creatures in or from other dimensions that are considered to ‘Dwell in Darkness’, as well as practitioners of ‘black’ magic, imposing a 2CS penalty on all abilities and powers that they possess.
-When entering into Astral Form the eye will create an astral copy nearly as powerful as the physical form (reduce effectiveness by 1CS) that will be attached to the forehead of his astral body due to the psychic bond they share.
-The eye only functions for those of a spiritually pure nature and will not respond to anyone of a corrupt nature, although sufficiently powerful mystical entities have the potential to force the eye to comply with their wishes, but will be constantly fighting to maintain in control.

Book of the Vishanti: This tome of white magic is said to be the most powerful source of such spells known to exist in the Earth dimension. While its origins are unknown it has had millennia of sorcerers contributing to its contents as it always seems to have fresh pages available for writing upon. It is said to contain every spell of a defensive or protective nature, as well as every counter-spell known to the order school of magic. Due to the haphazard nature of the contributions and being written in a variety of ancient and in many cases dead languages it requires a Reason feat and 1d10hrs of research in order to find a desired spell. There is even a counterspell capable of freeing one from possession by the Darkhold but it is particularly dangerous to use. The book itself may also function as a protective device as it is effectively indestructible and capable of reflecting a magical attack back onto the caster if used to parry the attack unless the attacker rolls a Bulls-Eye on the attack roll.

Orb of Agamotto: Identical to the one possessed by the Earth-616 Dr. Strange this mystic orb allows Stark to view distant regions and targets with CL1000 ability, although sufficiently powerful magicks can ‘blind’ it. It may also be keyed to activate when certain mystical disturbances occur and provide immediate warning to the specified event. It also allows one to access a pocket dimension wherein Agomotto resides (he generally maintains a landscape reflective of Alice in Wonderland and takes up the roll of the Caterpillar and has unless he finds it necessary does not let anyone know who he actually is).

Cat's Head Talisman: This mystical talisman allows Tigra to assume her original human appearance, but is rarely used as she no longer considers that her normal form, instead seeing her felinoid body as her natural body.

Note: These are only the most prominent magical items associated with the Sorceress Supreme, the her sanctum contains many other powerful mystical objects that she may make use of if the moments requires it.

Her intense effort and magical potential allowed her to progress rapidly, so much so that when the time came for Dr. Strange to give up his title as Sorcerer Supreme after falling to corruption she found herself chosen to assume the mantel, one that she has served well.

Growth (Atomic Gain): Giant-Man has the ability to grow in size and mass with Incredible ability, although his maximum height is only 18' tall. At any height over 12' tall his Strength is considered Amazing and damaging conventional attacks deal 1CS less damage due to his large size. Damage from things like being shot or having other materials left embedded within his flesh requires removing them before he returns to normal size otherwise he will suffer further damage as his shrinking body is forced to give way to the non-shrinking foreign materials. Opponents gain a 1CS bonus to hit him while enlarged as well.

Spider-Climb: Incredible rank ability to cling to objects and climb solid surfaces through secreting an adhesive substance through his hands and feet. While initial exposure to these will generally render him dizzy for 1d10 turns they cannot kill him and all subsequent exposure to the same substance or radiation will have absolutely no effect.

Venom Blasts: Bill Foster's body now generates large quantities of bio-electric energy, allowing him to fire powerful energy blasts called Venom Blasts that deal up to Amazing energy damage up to 2 areas away. When enlarged the damage increases to Monstrous rank and the range to 3 areas due to the added size and mass increasing the amount of energy he can draw upon.

Giant-Man's history is identical to his Earth-616 counterpart up until the point where he lay dying due to the results of acute radiation poisoning. Instead of Spider-woman sacrificing her own immunity to toxins and radiation they called in the scientist who had been forced to develop a serum that would completely replicate her powers in another. Working feverishly alongside Mr Fantastic they were able to replicate the perfected formula and give it to Foster, providing him with all of Spider-Woman's fantastic powers including the most important one of all, her immunity to radiation. Now both cured of his radiation poisoning and gifted with her powers as well as his own he returned to his heroic activities even more committed than he had been before.

Web-Casting: Through some strange means Alicia can unleash a spray of webbing from her mouth capable of covering up to one area in an Amazing strength web with Incredible adhesive properties.

Empathic Abilities: Alicia Masters even before her transformation displayed impressive empathic abilities, able to read the feelings and emotions of those around her with Remarkable ability.

LIMITATIONS

Blindness: Alicia Masters is blind, as such she is both immune to attacks that require sight to function (such as hypnotic attacks that require eye contact to succeed) and unable to respond to anything that would require vision to notice.

Unlike in the 616 continuity when the creator of the original formula sought to cure her he found instead he had to advance the effects to their full and final stage instead, leaving her permanently transformed into a superhuman with powers and abilities similar to those of Jessica Drew and restored to her original appearance. While having no desire to embark on a super-hero career and looking to return to her normal life she still chose to adopt an ID for those times when she might be forced to act by enemies of the Fantastic Four, having learned in her time around them that the only certain thing was that danger was always going to show up at some point.

HISTORY

Rushmore's history is identical to that of his Earth-616 counterpart up into their early career, until having an epiphany due to watching a late-night TV show (one he missed in the mainstream continuity) that HE was the root of much of his troubles since his transformation. He didn't have to let others define him as a monstrous 'thing', didn't have to keep living down to his appearance, that he could be far more than that. That he would define himself and by living to that human, heroic ideal he would change how everyone else defined him as well. To that end he worked tirelessly on remaking himself in all ways, gaining training to be a more effective fighter, embracing his intelligence and striving to speak to reveal that truth, pushing himself to his limits and beyond. It was slow going at first but Grimm persevered, buoyed up by the moments when people did respond to him as he'd worked for, until finally achieving the status he'd so striven for. No longer was he a monster, no longer was he the Thing, now and forevermore he would be Rushmore!

-Deal up to Shift X blunt damage in combat whether in melee or thrown.
-Increases Corona's ability to generate and control fire to Unearthly rank when channeled through it.
-As a powerful mystic artifact fashioned in and bound to a realm of endless energy Igneous is capable of acting as a Shift-Z rank energy source for one with Reason enough to know how to tap into its boundless energies.
-Only Corona and its creator Surtur may lift Igneous, no other no matter how strong may do so.

HISTORY

Long tired of his constant defeats at Thor's hand and that of his accursed hammer Surtur chose to fight fire with fire as they say and bring forth one in Thor's image that would serve Surtur as Thor served Odin and tip the scales in his favor. So driven he set forth to the depths of his realm to claim the purest and most potent of the magical metal Scabrite that he used to fashion his own sword of Twilight. Months passed as he refined and melted and shaped the metal all while carefully weaving his very own energies within it along with those of Muspelheim, until the time came that the hammer was complete and only the choosing of the mortal to make god was left in order to finish the forging of his newest weapon in his quest to destroy all.

Enter Helena Fairchild, the one chosen by the Fates themselves to soon see an end to her mortal existence. Child of Army parents and Army officer herself she was a decorated soldier until base betrayal came her way. An officer enraged by her spurning him and fighting off his advances arranged for an 'accident' that left her with but days to live, burned overly nearly 100% of her body courtesy of an explosion set off by an incendiary planted so as to appear like an Insurgent's scheme. Laying in the hospital, dying, a voice began to whisper to her, offering her renewed life, power such as she'd never dreamed, and the chance to repay all those that had wronged her. All she had to do was accept and serve a new master. Preferring life over death she accepted and so found Igneous appearing in her hand and as they touched so ended her mortal existence and in her place was now Corona, Goddess of Fire!

Bursting with power like few had ever felt before Corona quickly sent her failed murderer off to a death that none would save him from like had been so for her. Her fellow soldiers were helpless against her as she unleashed her rage, although spared all but those she knew to be more villain than hero. Before she could do more she was brought into Surtur's presence and called upon to serve him as she swore to. One war was little different than another and she readily enough agreed but soon Surtur learned the joke the Fates had played upon him, for he crafted too well his dark daughter, for just as Thor often denied his father he soon found Corona defying him as well, such as when called upon to lead his forces against the realm of Asgard. She would not wage war save to defend Muspelheim and her new ruler, and Surtur found he could not revoke the powers he'd granted and take back what he had given.

Unable to force her to serve him as he'd most desired to use her for Surtur left her to her own devices although schemed ways to bring her into conflict with Thor and others he wished destroyed and wiped from memory. For her own part Corona reveled in her new life as a goddess, luxuriating in the sybaritic pleasures of Earth with little regard for the rules she once followed, although her mortal life did leave her so that she was more hero than villain, harming none she felt undeserving of it.

Thanks. He got his beginnings years ago if memory serves as a counter-point to something someone said (can't remember what though). I picked the three powers and rolled up everything else and let the dice feel where they fell and he turned out surprisingly well although somewhat comical how all his powers came up only Good rank. Getting that super-high Psyche and Mystic Origin at the same time was quite the fluke payoff (and that Incredible Intuition was a pretty good deal too). Much of the rest got fleshed out thanks to feedback on one FB group dedicated to the game I'm on. One guy came back with an unexpectedly detailed commentary on the character after I posted the original bare bones that sparked my completion of Dark Hunter.]]>

Regeneration: Due to his augmented physiology Dark Hunter heals at Good (10) speeds, recovering lost health 10 time faster than a normal human and recovers completely without scarring. This healing is sufficiently advanced to regrow lost organs and limbs, although vital organs will require some kind of external support to allow his body to fully recover.

Force Field: Dark Hunter enjoys the benefit of a Good (10) rank force field capable of providing Good (10) protection against all attacks including attacks of a magical or psionic nature. At present he has yet to develop any power stunts for it.

HISTORY

Kurt Townsend was something of an All American kid with dreams of being a cop when he grew up and had devoted himself to developing himself physically and learning what skills he could that he felt would help him in that career. His goal though shattered when his entire class was slaughtered his senior year in an event that would have claimed his life as well if not for something about it bringing about the development of his enhanced durability and enhanced ability to heal. What fragments of that terrible day he remembers leave him with memories of monsters that he cannot remember well enough to know what they might have been save that they were clearly not human.

Unfortunately for Kurt nobody would believe the sole survivor's tale of monsters, dismissing it as simply distorted memories brought about by the trauma and instead wrote it off as some kind of Satanic cult attack (not that the authorities ever could prove that or explain the evidence that clearly contradicted the 'official' story). Realizing nobody was going to do anything about it and just how much everyone was threatened by the creatures everyone pretended didn't exist Kurt decided he on a new purpose in his life, one the police were woefully prepared for and uninterested in handling. Dealing with the threats from the shadows that they insisted did not exist, hunting them wherever they might be, for he was from now on the Dark Hunter!

PERSONALITY

Kurt is a serious, driven personality thirsting for justice and vengeance on all those that threaten the innocent from the shadows. While focused on the creatures of the night he won't hesitate to protect those in need from more mundane threats as well, and is constantly seeking to add to his knowledge so he may be more effective in protecting others.

ROLE-PLAYING NOTES

Being new to his career Kurt is missing some useful talents, as such his early focus will be on developing Zoology of Magic, Occult Lore and Chronicler of Magic as well as seeking out a Master that can teach him useful spells to expand on his arsenal. Elongation: Plastos has the Shift-X ability to elongate any part of his body up to 150 yards, if elongating more than one part the total distance possible must add up to 150 yards.

Plasticity: Due to his malleable flesh Plastos has the Shift-X ability to manipulate the shape of his body in virtually any fashion, allowing him to distort and reshape it for a variety of effects. Some power stunts include the following:
-Become a parachute capable of supporting up to 4 people
-Unearthly ability to assume any geometric figure
-Shift into the form of a glider allowing for the power of Gliding at Feeble speeds
-Becoming sufficiently fluid and malleable as to be able to flow through a hole the size of the eye of a needle with Unearthly ability
-Grapple up to 4 targets as if possessing Amazing Strength or a single target as if possessing Unearthly Strength
-Envelope dangerous objects and explosives, acting to protect others by shielding them from dangerous radiation or explosions with Shift-X ability

True Invulnerability: Plastos' body is no longer made up of conventional matter, as such it is virtually indestructible, providing him with Shift X protection from all attacks save those of a magical or psionic nature. This protection is so complete that energy cannot penetrate his flesh allowing him to protect those behind him from dangerous radiation.

Self-Sustenance: As a result of his transformation Plastos no longer requires food, water, or air in order to survive.

Immortality: Plastos is effectively immortal, able to survive virtually anything short of disintegration and no longer ages. Any injuries he suffers no matter how catastrophic will otherwise heal leaving him in perfect health without any sign of ever having been injured.

Invulnerability (Mental and Emotional Attacks): Plastos' mind is no longer made up of organic matter in the conventional sense, as such his mind is virtually untouchable, providing him CL1000 Resistance to Mental and Emotional Attacks.

HISTORY

Lucas was an otherwise ordinary veteran police detective until the day he found himself following a lead on possible illegal dumping that found him on the wrong side of AIM. He soon found himself in a firefight with a number of AIM agents transporting some equipment to one of AIM's many hidden labs, a firefight that led to the equipment being struck by a stray energy blast from an AIM weapon and activating, unleashing a devastating energy burst that caused all organic matter to catastrophically break down within its range. This event killed all the AIM agents along with everyone else in the area save for Lucus, his genetic structure somehow interacting with the field resulting in his organic form to completely break down and reform in ways organic matter simply did not align itself in.

Left in a puddle on the ground it took days for Lucus to gain some semblance of control over his new form, and days more to assume his original human appearance. Clearing up the problems of going missing for nearly a week took even longer as well as learning to control what he had become. After learning how to control his newfound powers he decided to move up into the world, for he was no longer a normal human and his powers were needed for more than just fighting the crime he usually did. He would devote himself all the more to protecting the innocent and weak, as the hero Plastos!

Shrinking (Atomic Reduction): Killer Bee has due to her modifications the ability to generate Pym Particles at will, providing her with Amazing rank ability to shrink, letting her reduce her size to as much as just 0.25% of her original size, although generally halts at ½ inches in height. While shrunken she enjoys a 2CS bonus to attacking taller opponents and imposes a 2CS penalty on attacks against her by such opponents, although if struck will take an extra CS of damage as a result. While shrunken (4' tall or smaller) her wings manifest providing her with her flight abilities.

Growth (Atomic Gain): Along with the ability of her Pym particles to let her shrink they also allow Killer Be to Grow with Amazing ability with a maximum height of 60', although due to the hazards of her maximum height she generally grows no larger than 30' in height unless desperate. Her strength increases by 1CS for every 2CS of growth, until reaching a maximum of Amazing at 60' tall.

Diminution (Atomic Reduction): Both as a natural ability and as a function of her costume Killer Bee may also shrink other objects with Amazing ability, reducing them to just 0.25% of their original size. Living things can resist this with a Psyche feat against her own Psyche (representing the victim attempting to override her control over the Pym Particles to remain normal sized). She also enjoys a 1CS reduction to damage for every 2 CS of growth to any damage before it is applied to her.

Enlargement (Atomic Gain): Similar to her Diminution power Killer Bee may also enlarge other objects and people with Amazing ability, with similar results to her Growth power. Living beings may resist this like her Diminution power by an opposing Psyche feat with her.

Flight (Winged): Killer Bee manifests large, insect like wings as she shrinks that provide her with Poor speed normally, when combined with the anti-gravity systems in her costume she can fly at Good speeds.

Bee Sting: Killer Bee can channel her bio-electric energy into blasts capable of dealing Remarkable energy damage to a range of 1 area, while systems in her costume augment this by +2CS to Amazing rank.

Insect Communication and Control: Due to antenna that manifest from her forehead Killer Bee can control all insects with Excellent ability, augmented +2CS to Incredible rank while under the influence of the cybernetic systems in her helmet.

HISTORY

Lucinda was an odd child growing up, a genius with a fascination with insects that left her quite ostracized by her peers. Her interests in insects led her to the research of Dr Henry Pym, the superhero of many heroic aliases. Her interests broadened and she devoted herself to learning all she could about him and his research, seeing it as a pathway to realizing her greatest desire: punish those that had shunned her and claim everything she could as hers.

In time Lucinda tracked down one of Pym's labs he'd made use of during one of his manic phases to experiment with and develop advancements to his existing technology, one that contained all the materials necessary to integrate all the advances he'd made in both the powers he'd provided the wasp and his own wide-ranging research in insects and his shrinking and growth technology. It didn't take her long to familiarize herself with everything in the lab and subject herself to the improved Wasp technology and down the latest suit that contained the best of his existing technology. Coming out of it enhanced to degrees even Pym hadn't considered Lucinda could now engage in all her selfish desires, she was now and forever more the Killer Bee!
