Hello, like many of you I play other role-playing games as well and about a year ago, I started playing in a game of Advanced Dungeons and Dragons with some of my old Junior high and high school friends. One of them was playing a fighter that the psionic power of Body equilibrium, and that gave me the idea to make a Marvel character. This is what I came up with: BALANCE David Reynolds - Male - 35 - Height: 6'1" - Weight: 175 - Eyes: Blue - Hair: Black Altered Human scientific experiment/mishap Fighting: Incredible - 40 Health: 195 Agility: Monstrous - 75 Karma: 80 Strength - Remarkable - 30 Resources: Incredible - CEO of AERODYNE TECH Endurance - Amazing - 50 Popularity: Excellent Reason - Remarkable - 30 Talents: Aeronautics, Mechanical engineering, oriental weapons, 2nd degree Black Belt Karate Intuition - Excellent - 20 weapons specialist Shuriken and staff Psyche - Remarkable - 30 Contacts: Nasa Director, Powers: Body Equilibrium: Unearthly Balance has the unearthly ability to instinctively balance his weight with whatever surface he is standing on at the time if him using this power. He has developed the following stunts using this power at Unearthly level walking on water, quicksand, spider webs, the top of grass, walking on clouds or water vapor Hyper leaping: Amazing. By combining this power and his body equilibrium, he can appear to jump from off of midair when in reality, he is leaping from the dust particles in the air. Hyper running: Remarkable Body Resistance: Remarkable regeneration: excellent History: David was always fascinated with air travel and space travel as a kid. He used to spend hours every day just dreaming about flight and space travel and superheroes. As David got older, he was still just as fascinated with space and air travel as always but became more and more determined to solve what he felt was the main problem of flights and that was how to balance everything so that the flights would not have to keep large fuel reserves as emergency backups. After graduating and earning his PHDs, David founded his own company called Aerodyne Tech. His company became quite successful in creating leading edge innovations that helped to revolutionize the air and space flight industries. David was not satisfied though. He became convinced that he was near a breakthrough that would allow him to perfectly equalize the weight of any package or object with its surroundings thereby eliminating frag and reducing fuel inefficiencies. What David did not know was that he was under surveillance by Roxxon corp. One night as David was performing the final test of his experiments, Roxxon agents broke in and sabotaged the experiment and knocked David out and left him tied up in his lab as the experiment ran. Something went wrong thanks to the sabotage and instead of killing David, He gained the power of Body / self-equilibrium and also found that he was faster, stronger, more durable, able to leap farther than he ever thought possible. After taking time to recover David set aside his work for now and decided to seek revenge against Roxxon and to put them out of business. To that effect, David created a simple costume and some advanced yet simple weapons. This Balance was born Equipment: Costume: Made of bullet proof Kevlar/carbon fiber weave, this is a head-to-toe costume that covers him completely. Specially treated areas allow him to see unobstructed. This costume is shades of black, Charcoal Gray and dark blue Shuriken: David carries around 30 of these on his costume in his hidden "utility Belt". Like the back ground, Roxxon a classic org to have plot created.
It also good to find inspiration everywhere, even from a AD&D game.
