Mind Link: The Tao-Yu brothers are always in touch with each other mentally even at great distances from one another.

Gestalt Joining: The Tao-Yu brothers have the mutant ability to join togther creating the Collective Man, The Collective man posseses the combined strength, speed stamina and intellect of all of them combined. This gives the Collective Man some interesting abilites including;

• Enhanced Abilities: When the Tao-Yu brothers join together as the Collective Man, their stats increase to the second set of attributes in the ability collumns.
• Lightning Speed: As the Collective Man the combined brothers can run at GD land speed 4-areas/round, or about 60/mph.
• Reflective Gestalt joining: The Collective Man started off combining just the brothers, however now he can pull in other people as well. As a result they can push their abilities to even greater levels and even grow substantially in height as much as if he has Incredible growth with all the benefits thereof. (65 feet tall, +2C/S to be hit, amazing mass increase, Unearthly Strength, Monstrous Endurance and Incredible Body Resistance.
• Power Stunts: The Collective Man has established 1 known powerstunt that causes them to greatly increase their strength for short periods. This Power-Surge comes from the brothers tapping into the combined strength of the people and raises the Collective Man's Strength to UN rank levels. The Collective Man is only able to do this for up to 5 rounds but the side effects are harsher the longer that they tap into this power. The Collective Man falls unconsious after the use of this strength due to exhaustion. The duration of unconsiousness is dependent upon the duration of the Strength boost.

• 1 round of strength equals 1-10 rounds of unconsiousness.
• 2 rounds of Strength equals 1-10 minutes of unconsiousness.
• 3 rounds of Strength equals 1-10 hours of unconsiousness.
• 4 rounds of Strenght equals 1-10 days of unconsiousness.
• 5 rounds of Strength equals 1-10 days x2 of unconsiousness.

The Collective Man has not shown the ability to use this Power Stunt longer than 5 rounds.

Martial Arts A, B, C, D & E: The Collective Men may stun and slam a foe regardless of their respective strength and endurance, They gain +1CS to all unarmed combat rolls, The Collective Men get a +1CS to their fighting for evading, +1CS to agility to dodge and Strength to escape, They can stun or slam a foe through body armor after watching them for 2 rounds and they get an iniaitive bonus of +1 to all rolls.

Oriental Weapons: The Collective Men gain +1CS to fighting and agility for the purpose of hitting or throwing with any oriental based weapons.

Tumbling: the Collective Men may fall up to his endurance rank in feet without taking any damage on an agility feat roll.

Trance: The Collective Men can put themselves into a trance that that reduces their vital signs to a point where it is difficult to determine if the Collective Men are alive or dead. As a result of the trance they heal as though they are at complete rest and are rest as though they were alseep.

History (China): The Collective Men gain +1CS to their Reason when it comes to the history of China.

Lore (China): The Collective Men gain +1CS to their Reason when it comes to the lore of China.

Law-Enforcement: The Collective Men gain a +1CS to all law-enforcement related rolls (such as correct procedure, rules, regulations and laws) as well as using a handgun if need be.

Military: The Collective Men gain a +1CS to all military relates rolls, such as correct procedures, rules, regulations, tactics and weapon use.

Multi-Lingual: The various dialects of Chinese as well as English, fluently.

They are all identical.

The five brothers and Collective Man all have the same basic personality. They are quiet and contemplative, and let their abilities and actions speak for them. They are humble, but they are very proud of their country and its people.

The Chinese Government; The People's Defense Force.

The Collective Men are some of the few mutants to lose their powers as a result of the Scarlet Witch and M-Day.

Identical quintuplets from a Chinese farming family, the brothers Tao-Yu were taken into government custody for study after their mutant nature manifested. The brothers were trained to control their power, and became government agents as the Collective Man. The brothers were among the heroes of Earth gathered to partake in a “Contest of Champions” between the Grandmaster and Death herself. As an unwitting agent of Death, the Collective Man exhausted himself defeating Sasquatch. The brothers later learned that their mother was dying. Determined to visit her, they took a helicopter, forcing the government to send Ho-Ti, the Chinese God of Happiness, to reclaim them. The brothers opposed Ho Ti, who relented after sensing the happiness that the brothers’ mother felt on seeing her sons for the first time in twenty years before she died. The brothers subsequently returned to government service; however, their growing disdain over the government’s mistreatment of other mutants led them to join the Jade Dragon and Nuwa in forming 3Peace. Allying themselves with Reignfire’s Mutant Liberation Front to free captive Chinese mutants, 3Peace were ultimately betrayed by Reignfire to the government-sponsored China Force team, but they were able to escape.

The brothers were then unwittingly drawn into a plot by the fallen god Marduk, who boosted their power to enable them to permanently absorb their countrymen’s collective life force and transfer it into the Genesis Well, thus allowing Marduk to re-empower himself. Opposed by Citizen V and the V-Battalion, the brothers combined and grew to giant size, liquefying V-Battalion council member Goldfire with a simple turn of their head. The brothers were seemingly killed when Citizen V used his Adamantium-coated sword to burst their engorged form, after which the V-Battalion gathered their remains in order to reverse-engineer their powers, allowing them to put the entire population of Rumekistan into a slumber so as to oppose Marduk’s plan.

As a byproduct of their enhanced power, the brothers were eventually able to reform and returned to serving the Chinese government. When the X-Men traveled to China to investigate the mutant Shen Xorn, they were confronted by the brothers, who used their increased power to create a veritable army of Collective Men to oppose them. After the House of M fiasco mutants all over the world started to lose their powers. Collective Man however is one of the few mutants who retained them and was seen on the Xavier Compound with other mutants, forming the 198. He was later leading the People's Defense Force, fighting The Unspoken alongside Ban Luck who is a member of G.R.A.M.P.A, the Mighty Avengers, the Young Avengers, the New Avengers and The Avengers Resistance.
