In a divergent earth, Onslaught was stopped by Magneto killing Professor Xavier before Onslaught's reliance on his host was severed.
The Civil War occured more quickly, as the Onslaught caused the Registration act to hit the floor earlier than it did on "mainstream" earth.
Operation: Zero Tolerance and Apocalypse both took adavantage of the situation, and now things are grim for the surviving heroes.
Yet there is hope...
