I did something like this with my Joe Solarte, Sorcerer Supreme of Earth and Master of the Tower of High Sorcery in Long Beach about this, a parody of sorts that went like this, set in March 2003.
ARCHMAGE SOLARTE- "Thank you for seeing me, Mister President. I know you are a busy man.
PRESIDENT BUSH- "Thank you, ArchMage, for seeing us. And for taking the time to address the issues that we brought up in our briefing for you accepted. A lot of superfolk are not being as supportive as we would like for actions we might have to undertake.
AM SOLARTE- "Uh, yes, Mister President. Obviously, the Orders of High Sorcery DO NOT want to see a war break out if it can be avoided. The losses of life are felt in the Winds of Magic, it affects us all. So, in tune with that, I ordered a conclave of the greatest Divination wizards I could gather. Them, along with myself, we conducted the greatest amount of SCRYING that we have ever done in a realm in centuries. We used dozens of our most powerful artifacts we have. We used every manner of crystal balls, magic mirrors, we have sent in UNSEEN SERVANTS, and Air Elementals, Genies to scour our Iraq......"
VP CHENNEY (looks worried).
AM SOLARTE- "Mr President.....we can't find ANY SIGN of the WMD programs that you are claiming President Hussein in is possession of. It really looks like between the 1991 Gulf War, the sanctions in place from then till now, and the 1998 strikes ordered by President Clinton that his WMD program is largely gone. Not only that, but the ties between his regime and the Al-Qaeda organization are dubious at best, and in many cases are complete fabrications."
VP CHENNEY- "Uh...I see......is...is there any way your magic could be in error, or even worse, being jammed or something like that."
AM SOLARTE- "Well, I am sorcerer supreme of Earth, Mister VicePresident. But there are some very powerful forces, that if directly working to obfuscate me, could do so.
DEFENSE SECRETARY RUMSFELD- "What forces could those be, Arch Mage??"
AM SOLARTE- "There are Demon Princes of the Abyss, that I list in the "KNOWN EXTRADIMENSIONAL THREATS" assessment briefing that I provided about a year ago, sir. Some of these Demon Princes have extremely powerful abilities to conceal activities from the Orders of Magic, counting on the fact that mundane means would also not work either if people genuinely don't believe in them."
Bush and his cabinet- "I see, well, thank you Arch Mage Solarte. I need to confer with my advisors here on a political way to respond to your information."
ArchMage Solarte, and his apprentice leave the Oval Office, and head to the Rose Garden, where traditional outgoing interviews take place. ArchMage Solarte is feeling that he has done his part to stop a unjustified war from happening when he sees on the video monitors.......
FOX NEWS- "We have just received a confirmed report that Saddam Hussein is also directly in league with the Demon Prince known as Demogorgon, the Demon Prince of the 66th Layer of the Abyss. This Demon Prince has agreed to shield from observation the various WMD programs that Saddam Hussein has in Iraq from observation......"
