Jason was an up and coming MMA fighter. He was good, but not great. He had potential, but had a lazy streak and always sought out a quick fix like steroids over training and exercise. After failing to win yet another tournament, Jason grew desperate to do anything to be the best. Freida Harris, a friend of Jason's was a grad student specializing in genetics. Frieda was also involved with occultism, and quite frankly, had no clue what she was doing in matters of alchemy and magick, yet fancied herself an expert. Frieda confided in Jason that she had been experimenting on combining modern science with an alchemical formula to augment the human body to superhuman levels. Jason agreed to undergo the procedure. Freida explained that he would need to ingest an elixir containing powdered silver, stating that silver represented the feminine and he needed to balance out his masculinity with his feminine side to achieve perfect harmony in his humors.

The experiment worked...in a sense. Jason developed his newfound powers, but found himself unable to touch anything made of gold thereafter as a side affect, (gold representing masculine energy in the occult world) without feeling completely helpless. An ironic twist of fate, no matter how great his fighting ability and super powers were, Jason could never again "earn the gold" he desperately longed for. In a fit of rage, he lowered Freida's body temperature to sub-freezing levels, causing her to die of hypothermia and shock

Jason now wanders, searching out those he deems "know-it-alls" or egotists and challenging them to a fight, where he swiftly deals out his brand of justice.

Jason's body armor is a boxer's cloak made of remarkably durable material.
