There's a movie called "Cashback" where the lead character can actually do that and will sketch women in a grocery store while they were frozen. The narration explained that they simply felt as if they were hit by a cool breeze, thou

The issue of super human laws has been addressed in both Marvel and DC in various ways.
You guys are correct in thinking it can lead to interesting things happening. For instance once Spider-Man sued JJ Jameson for libel, and then was himself sued as Peter Parker in the same legal action. The authors did it incorrectly as far as lawsuits are arranged but confusion like this could happen.
DC has c

It was actually a discussion like this that lead to the creation of this book:
As well as a corresponding website that deals with the matter.
In short is it legal? Depends. If he's acting in a police capacity and he has a warrant then sure.
Otherwise it is not legal.

This analysis was on the movie only and not comic book history. He has analysis for that in other articles including the trial where Jennifer Walters was defending Steve Rogers who was being tried for wrongful death with Matt Murdock on the opposing counsel. He didn't comment on Thor because he wasn't in the movie other than being mentioned. But yes you are correct that Thor would not be eligible

To me Civil War was a great great movie. With all the hype leading up to it I got worried but it did not disappoint. Honestly this movie should be in the discussion for Best Picture, if ever a comic book movie would get it this would be the movie. It would deserve it.
Oh and if anyone is interested a lawyer in California did an analysis of the movie and here it is: (obviously spoilers ahead)

Rules lite made me think of Sketch. Sketch is an RPG that my brother bought for $1 back in the mid-90's, he handed it to me and said "Learn it so we can play it" this was pretty normal when I was growing up. Sketch as it exists today is an 84 kb word document, though you can find the original cover online by typing Sketch RPG in your favorite search engine.
Anyway, it is the most rules light RPG

Very interesting, I'd heard of Valiant but never have had the opportunity to play it. The Superhero style RPGs that I have played are: Marvel, everyone, DC, Batman (Specific variety pretty much DC, if there are any differences I didn't notice them), GURPs Supers, and Heroes Unlimited from Palladium. I have perused Mutants and Masterminds but never played.
Was cool to see your use of his language

There was a deleted scene in Hancock where you hear the loud raunchy sounds of sex from the outside of a trailer and Hancock can "finishes" resulting in a few holes bursting out the roof of the trailer... this reminds me of that.

I finished the Classic version Saturday night/Sunday Morning. Just finished the MHR one:
Green Man, now a self-proclaimed protector of the concrete jungle, scans the city scape perch on top a brownstone. Off in the distance he notices an explosion. Our noble hero rushes to save the day. The sun hangs low in the sky as he hurries off to the disturbance.
When he arrives on the scene he sees severa

I'll try to get it done this weekend, if I don't get it done this weekend I'll do it on Monday night.
I looked through the books for a character that is represented in both systems and hasn't changed a lot. Titanium Man is that subject and he's actually a good subject to show the systems well.

Why not, I did the RPG one so here we go with comic books. As I already said I was practically raised on RPGs but a close second was comic books. My father was and still is a massive Dr. Who fan, before they were called "Whovian" and a close second was Star Trek in fact my brother was named after a Star Trek character... Quick version, they thought he was going to be a girl so they picked the nam

Last night I was bored at the end of my shift and decided to roll up a completely random character and convert that character to Marvel Heroic Roleplaying. I thought it was a fun exercise so I thought I'd share the results.

Starting from Worst to best
Marvel Universe: This one was based around resource management, and the mechanic was quite poor. If you didn't have regeneration you were going to quickly fall behind because you didn't have enough energy to do anything. Unarmed fighting, while being the most popular form of combat in comics, was completely blown away by weapons. It's strength lies in Play by Post.

I started writing this a few days ago and got distracted by something. Anyway my story:
For most people they were introduced to RPGs in their teen years. Not me. My eldest brother, and cousin (on my mom's side) would play D&D whenever we visited and to that end seemed something of a rite of passage. While they were most commonly playing D&D I started with Marvel Superheroes RPG by TSR. I

I think Thor should be on this list. The powers of Shazam and Storm combined. I think an Argument could be made for World Breaker Hulk but I understand why he was left off the list. I'm not convinced Cable should be on the list though, maybe Thor should be in his spot. All in all it was 5 Marvel and 5 DC.

Marvel stated that they won't be doing a new origin of Spider-Man because everyone already knows the story. Also, the shift between Rogers and Stark has been gradual but there. Stark scoffed at government control in Iron Man 2, and Avengers but in Age of Ultron he has the "fear vision" that his friends will die and he wants to stop it. That's what lead to Ultron. Meanwhile, Rogers started out as

I agree, then there's news that for the DVD/Blu-ray release of BvS it'll be rated R... That couldn't possibly be in relation to Deadpool doing so well at the box office could it?

Reminds me of Madison Jeffries in the Box armor. (pg. 25 of 1990 handbook in downloads, the one with Spider-Man on the cover)
Had a number of stunts he could do in regard to the armor on top of the armors functionality.

Random rolls with 2 rerolls possible. We also go base rank number, kind of our hold over from the basic set but I also feel it shows your character has some experience under their belts.
No need for a power stunt to make a sword or other weapons, it is pretty clear from the description of Energy Solidification that these are standard uses of the power.
On that note I've been thinking about power

Ok I have a bit of a dilemma. Below I have posted my current character for an on going game.
Due to some rolls and the other characters in the game, Xi here is the designated hitter when it comes to fighting the big boys. Taking damage isn't an issue but dealing it out is. I've been using "Energy Solidification" to create power suits so he is able to go toe-to-toe with them. Leaving the body armo

I think if I were to play it again I'd go with Energy Solidification.
Though other thoughts I had were being an elite spec ops. All Ex abilities with Regeneration or True Invulnerability.

Hey everybody
After a post I did over a year ago I've pretty much just lurked here. But when I was around 15 my two brothers and I played a one shot game of Marvel, the rules for character creation were simple: Pick an archetype and based off of that assign your FASERIP 1 stat may be Rm everything else is Ex or below and 1 power, no power duplication.

That's what I thought but I've always wondered. (I plan on posting other characters with power combinations that I have questions about, but that's another thread) Boots is a tuxedo (black and white) cat based very loosely on one of my cats.
Here's his story:
Ever wonder what would happen to a cat that caught the little red dot? Boots was always fast, his favorite game was chasing the little re

I made some changes. I'm assuming since the powers question wasn't referred to the answer is they are in addition to the powers rather then automatically selected powers.
I Switched Danger Sense for Hyper-Leaping Since Danger Sense really didn't do much form him. I also decreased his resources by 2cs and gave him Alter Ego. The forms share a mind however so he is much better at fighting even in

Hey I'm SavageX1,
I grew up in the 80's and 90's. While RPGs have always been apart of my life the most common game for my brothers, cousins, and me has been Marvel Superheroes. Recently my brother quipped on Facebook he wanted to run a game which brought me here. I've been playing around with character creation to get the rules again. Overall I remember most of it. Just prior to this post I rol
