Updating this thread since after almost 3 years of weekly updates (plus bonus episodes) we are ending the show... with 12 one shot crossover episodes!
We switched to MASKS aa few months back to get some more emotional mechanics (one of the things the FASERIP system doesn't do well) and had some other arcs, but there has been a lot in the show.
Volume 1 - Clone Saga
Volume 2 - Eternals

I've been wrapping up Exiled, the weekly actual play I've been running, that was mostly FASERIP and part of the end has been a series of 12 one shot RPGs featuring alternate universe characters.
Some characters are just origin swaps of other characters so I wanted a way to delineate the differences and to let them understand their characters, so I cribbed the Backgrounds from 13th Age.

Volume 2 of Exiled has started, adapting a lesser known Kirby story arc concerning a robot Hulk and the Eternals!

I've been running a podcast on alternate universes in comics that's coming up on the end of it's second year, and one of the traditions was holiday or event themed live play RPGs. We ended up getting a group together though that decided to do a regular podcast, based on the Exiles pitch, and we've just now finished posting our first arc. This site (and the Ben Riely site) are major resources so I

First off, a huge thanks to Thrudj for producing stats for the Agents of Atlas!
My friend and I have been doing a podcast exploring the multiverses of comics and for our 4th episode we did the Agents of Atlas origin what if (What If The Avengers Formed In The 50s) and the characters are pretty great - they are what they say on the package.
Jimmy Woo - Secret Agent
Gorilla-Man - Adventurer

The one Item I might add is Bob's reliance on his helmet which simulated the Uranian atmosphere otherwise he starts to die, Venus' Emotional Control is tied to her own state and I might give that a +2CS along with one for the mind control - she is the biggest target to take out most of the time. I might give M-11 a +1 CS to his Energy Generation, I'd give Namora a +1 CS to her flight, and then I'

Fantastic. I was looking at these on my phone while doing podcast stuff. When I have some more time I will definitely review these a bit closer. Thanks!
And now I just need to decide if I want to have them fight the Beyond Corporation or Arcade. Both have benefits. Or another villain group altogether.

I figure I can make a giant Fin Fang Foom or maybe a Googam, just a giant punchable monster but I gotta get those stats (and luckily I got my friend who is going to play all of the Agents of Atlas Clix)

I want to if possible get an Agents of Atlas vs The Beyond Corporation one shot but unfortunately the only member with stats I found is Gorilla-Man.
Is anyone aware of any stats for the other characters?

Didn't they try to bring it back with that cartoon that I believe was mostly panned?

I'm a bit interested to see who they have as Spider-man as well and what the take on Peter Parker is.

I'm pretty sure G WIllow Wilson is writing the title about an all female Avengers team because she wanted to just like Garth Ennis is doing his story because he wanted to. Though with that said, saying that an all female team is a heavy handed political statement is a bit ridiculous in my opinion. It isn't the original Thundra story which is pretty over the top 60's biased against feminism femini

With War Machine she gets a charge from each blast and as long as she has a chance to get some charges her shield works well and she heals a lot. If you don't have Rocket I'd get him first. Rocket's bonus attacks are fantastic especially on the any three heroes days, teamed up with Union Jack. I've had them kill an entire boss team before their first attack.

Oh yeah, then as far as that attractiveness is pretty pointless to list.

I'd argue that the level of radioactivity within Hulk's body would effectively kill off all but the strongest viruses.
Though with characters like Spider-man we have a world with viruses and viruses can adapt to bodies and grow stronger. If Spider-man has a strong immune system then it may also jumpstart the evolution of viruses like the cold virus, not to mention how often he runs himself ragg

I know in Dungeons and Dragons we always joked that Charisma was tied to attractiveness.
I would say that it could be a power power but it would need to be something like Unearthly Beauty where you are attractive to people you are dealing with but there are a lot of questions that go into it. The closest thing I can find is Starfox's Emotional Control as far as an affect would go which was prob

What I might suggest for powers/technology is a bank of points to spend on levels of powers so if they want something super powerful, they can get it or they can divide the amounts. Like what some games have is to gain a first power it might cost 2 points. Each level of strength that want to increase the power to costs 1 point. Each additional rank after Amazing costs 2 points. Each additional po

I've been enjoying her teaming up with Rocket and War Machine though I heard her with Black Bolt gets ridiculous with his level 9.

in the What If Age of Ultron Black Widow ended up earning the ability to wield Mjolnir in a world where Thor died. She has sacrificed herself to save the rest of her team but this sacrifice allowed her to then pick up the hammer to avoid her death which she hadn't been able to do previously.
I'd argue that there is a level of self sacrifice one must be willing to have and an inability for Thor t

Fearless Defenders when Cullen Bunn was on the series had a lot of sexist issues on both sides of the team and several feminist comic fans I know were really pissed off about it not only because of how the women were written but also based on how Doctor Strange was. In Fraction's Defender's run which is super underrated, Strange is seen as sexist but it is ultimately a flaw and only part of his o

Assigning or defining one's connection to a racial identity is complicated and it may have been an issue where similar to Black Marvel, a minority figure of immense power would be too dangerous and too provocative to survive which is the weak answer.
At the same time if you come from a world that is infinitely more advanced both culturally and technologically than the world that you land on. Yo

I ran the first first playthrough and it went fairly well. Drax almost died. The party mostly sided against the Asgardians until Thor showed up and Agent Venom knew him which helped to deescalate things.

Thanks for the writeup. Also the marks I believe are similar to the ones that Rachel Gray has where she can make them appear or disappear.
And personally I love Squirrel Girl because having a ridiculous character who exists to be ridiculous is needed to remind you to have fun with comics. Plus an army of squirrels would be horrifying to fight.

I'm going to be running a Marvel Super Heroes RPG one shot (If you live near Dayton stop on by UD Con).
I still need to work on characters but I am overall going for a movie based campaign where the premise is the team is hired to retrieve an ancient artifact. The twists are the artifact is the Casket of Ancient Winters, they are going to Jotunheim and along with Frost Giants they will end up fig

I've heard the story from someone and retold it myself but if anyone else can correct or corroborate why the Marvel Super Heroes RPG was ended that would be excellent.
The story as I heard it was the people at TSR were running a demo with some Marvel heads and a few other game developers including Margaret Weiss who at the time was playing Captain America. Due to a series of bad rolls and limite
