So far as I understand it, the hero in your example can make an Endurance FEAT to avoid (yellow or red result) or mitigate (green result) the effects of a Stun result. As usual, the hero must actually take damage from the attack or the attacker must possess certain Martial Arts skills (A or D, depending). Hope this helps.

I recall a "Book", I think it was on this forum - a collection of a lot of heroes, not just Marvel, but like Indiana Jones, Kirk, Luke Skywalker, Terminator, etc. I think it even had a lot of dinosaurs.
Anybody remember that...or am I just crazy?
Nope - not crazy. You can find it here: Resources/Netbooks and Enhancements. Look for the Omniverse Handbook. One of the best "

I've no doubt that an AI could write and draw a graphic novel. The better question is - would it be something anyone would want to read? The art and writing would likely be pretty derivative and not particularly original - at least at this stage in the AI's development.

My heartfelt thanks to all the crew behind keeping all the original material available - as well as the excellent new "unofficial" releases like the New Marvel Phile, Citrusville (Man-Thing) Sourcebook, SHIELD Sourcebook and so on. Gotta say - these are better than the original material ever was.

Boy does this bring back memories! There were a LOT of B&Ws out there when I was a young man. Among my favorites are:
Savage Sword of Conan
Judge Dredd (only went color after few years of publication)
Deadly Hands of Kung-Fu
A tip of the hat to such greats as Sin City and Vampirella as well...

Does anyone know if there are game stats/write-up for Shanna the She-Devil - the Frank Cho version from 2005, not the standard Marvel version. There are substantial differences between the two characters, despite the Cho version's appearance being used interchangeably with the mainstream one.
The mainstream version of Shanna (née Shanna O'Hara) is a former veterinarian and adventurer, married

Mind you - I do NOT have a law degree. However, I did a bit of digging on the 'net, since I was curious myself. According to Commonwealth vs. Leed, it was decided that a simply typo did not invalidate a warrant. I noted that misspelling the accused's name or getting the wrong address would likely get the warrant tossed, however.

Pretty much everyone I know who's ever run a MSH RPG campaign has had a few House Rules to cover their perceived deficits in the system. Many of the House Rules I'd created wound up becoming part of the Advanced rules set when it came out two years later (mind you - I had no contact with anyone associated with TSR - apparently minds thinking alike and all that). Some examples were multiple atta

The first time I ever saw these maneuvers used in the comics was by the Hulk and the Thing back in the 1960's. But as they say - "There is nothing new under the sun."

While I have nothing against the monthly issues - especially if one is a collector - I tend to prefer the TPB or hardcover collections. I was always ever in it for the story/reading, so the TPB format was better for me. I'd get a miniseries, then turn it in for store credit once the TPB came out. I'm a big fan of the Marvel Omnibus hardcovers and the Marvel Essentials TPBs. I'm pretty sure I

Tough question there. I'd say overall it's the art that attracts my attention, but the story that keeps me coming back. One good example of a story I liked but cringed over the artwork was ELECTRA ASSASSIN - story by Frank Miller, art by Bill Sienkiewicz. His bizarro avant garde style was all the rage back in the late 1980's, but didn't anything for me.

I'd tend to agree with Username and award 2nd place to SF RPGs. That's particularly true if we're counting only game systems - not including accessories/adventures.
I first got into RPG games back in the 1970's, and the first superhero game I encountered was SUPERHERO 2044 (which was terrible and utterly unplayable). The genre seemed to take off a bit after the publication of CHAMPIONS in th

Agreed. However, the Advanced Player's Book states (pg. 15) "No FEAT may be shifted to the left below Shift 0 or to the right above Shift Z." That means that Willie Lumpkin wear

In looking over the various defensive maneuvers one can employ in this game, a close examination of the Universal Table shows Dodge to be pretty weak. The Dodging character can at best gain a result which reduces an opponent's FEAT roll by -6CS. That sounds good - until you realize that even someone shifted to Shift 0 still manages to hit the Dodging character on a roll of 66 or better. Am I m

I'm in favor of leaving things as written. One can always "pull your punch" under most circumstances or use the Block maneuver. There's also the "Roll with the Punch" option, if you prefer.

I noticed the same issue today. I use Firefox 100.0 (64 bit) for my primary browser. This problem happened once or twice before in the last 10 days, but corrected itself (or someone fixed it). The last time it happened, the font size of the header wasn't quite as large. I'm guessing this is some form of web attack designed to deny access/use of the site by parties unknown.

I've noticed the drop in activity as well - good to know that folks are active over on FaceBook (even though I don't use it myself). I only post here when I have a question or something worthwhile to say. Folks are usually pretty good at getting back to me with answers regardless.

So exactly how many times in a round can he use the shield? That's the bit I'm stuck on (perhaps I'm missing something here). Let's just assume for the sake of discussion that Cap declares he's using his shield before initiative is rolled (optimal situation)
Is there a limit to how many times Cap can use his shield during a round and still move or attack? If he goes full defensive, can he use

I've always been a little uncomfortable with the concept of Initiative in the rules-as-written - winning side takes all their actions while losing side stands still then losing side (assuming anyone is left standing) goes while winning side stands still. Granted the losing side can be Dodging, Blocking, etc.
It's usually been my experience that the players almost always win the Initiative roll.

So - exactly how many actions is a character allowed per round?
While the Player's Book is somewhat vague on the topic, I seem to remember reading somewhere a character can perform 1 Automatic action, 1 Combat action (more if Multiple Attacks are rolled) and 1 Movement action per round.
Are Free actions the same thing as Automatic actions? If not, what is the difference? Does gaining multiple

If someone has "natural" body armor, can they gain additional protective benefit from wearing artificial armor on top of it or is this an either/or situation?
The Advanced Players book (pg. 29) states that with Force Fields, one must choose to use either their body armor or the field but not both (unless you project the field as a sort of shield to protect someone else, in which case both apply)

What exactly is the process for using a shield (or something like it) during a combat round? Take Captain America or Taskmaster for example. The rules on pg. 31 of the Advanced Player's Book mention that if declared as an initial action, Cap could use his shield (presumably making a Fighting FEAT to stop an attack) and take one other action. Could that other action be an attack? If successful

For an upcoming adventure, Ulik and his band of Rock Trolls are likely to come through a dimensional portal to wreak havoc, unless the characters can stop them. I noted that Rock Trolls have a tendency to flee from tough opposition unless they have strong leadership. I'm going to assume Ulik counts as strong leadership.
So...do the Rock Trolls make a FEAT roll against Intuition or Psyche to av

As I'm getting geared up for the first MSH RPG campaign that I've run in nearly 32 years, I'm taking time to go over the powers the individual PCs have in detail to avoid any problems during play. I've noticed that many of the powers in the UPB 2.5 have a duration of effect listed (i.e. effects last power rank in minutes or 1-10 turns, etc.). Some, however, do not, specifically Shapeshifting.
