Rarely visit/log on CMF these days preoccupied w/other non-gaming matters, but had to for this. I only knew Gene briefly through a PBP game I'd briefly started some years back and he seemed like a geniune good guy, the kind of person I'd probably have enjoyed gaming with IRL had circumstance allowed it. Super-bummed to read of his passing. RIP, bud.

awesoommme! this clip alone has me wanting to see this movie badly
as far as how (I think) I'd react? probably like the gal at 1:38 - try to hide my laughter, realize the TK person is no joke, yell a profanity, and get the hell outta there w/o looking back

Thrud, fair enough to your opinions, as they are what they are. I was just curious if the grounds of those beliefs were based on actually seeing any of the flicks which you're so vehemently vocal about, or not, and the answer is apparently the latter (not that Nolan or anyone of any significance or clout is actually paying attention to any of this anyway).
Same as well GG, to each their own. I a

It's more a Supervillain movie, but I'd like to see one based on/from the perspective of Doctor Doom (not just an FF flick with Doc as the enemy).

Meh. Let those who diss Ben, diss Ben, those who love'm, love'm, those who poop on Nolan, poop on Nolan. Pointless to ruminate since the die's been cast and now we wait. Nobody's changing anyone's mind anytime soon.
The only irony is, no matter how much venom is spit either at actor or director, we'll ALL still watch it, they'll get ALL our money and shrug their shoulders at whatever flak comes

The 'Chancellor' is one BIG mofo!
I like these; simple yet kick ass

With the right casting, Cloak & Dagger. Always been intrigued by their dynamic but never enough to pick up and read any of their stories. I think that'd be a visually stunning flick which I'd be interested to see, as long as Marvel doesn't do something boneheaded like cast Garner and Affleck to play the duo because the powers that be feel, "Ben and Jen are a perfect fit for the roles of Cloak

Hell with giving him a chance.
I'm going in expecting the worst, flat-lined, laughably-bad Bruce Wayne depiction ever. A walk-out-worthy, pee-pee-quel to Daredevil, where Affleck only gets softer and more unbelievable, like jello-soft, the harder he tries to act 'hard' as he did in the aforementioned flick. It's the only way I might get past him portraying the legendary Dark Knight, and not so

Not sure if he fits what you're looking for but Captain Mar-Vell and his Nega bands came to mind, as far as accessories that channeled/refocused innate powers.

lol I like this odd couple. proves there's someone out there for everyone haha. I'll need to do a write-up sometime for a possible first-born, rebellious teenaged daughter: Jenny Fowler aka "Damaged Goods"

Is his name really 'James Howlett' as listed in his profile? c'mon... Howlett? Tell me that's just someone's sick joke and a bogus non-canon writeup.
But yeah, I miss the tough-as-nails, young Clint Eastwood-ish, 'Logan' of yester-year...
not the Wolversaurus Rex he's apparently been evolved into.

To each their own I guess. If we're talking men in fanciful tights movies? Then the O.G. Chris Reeve in Superman I & II with the Nolan Batman trilogy trailing behind. If any of these are randomly playing on the tube, I'm hard to peel away. Everything else falls in line after those in no particular order. Unfortunately a few named above fall into my painful-to-watch-shoot-me-now category but t

I enjoy browsing folks 'take' on canon characters, long as they don't try pass it off as the 'official' one-and-only version. Give Herc adamantium claws in a write-up for all I care; no harm no foul if I never plan to use it.
What I wish someone would do, instead of updating all the spotlight/major characters and escalating them to extreme proportions, is go back and water down all the overblown

Hey, congrats! you'll have a great time. I did this with my two nieces a while back and it was a hoot! (although depending on their ages, you may end up just fending off real-life "claws" attacks half the time like I was lol)
Don't get too hung up on the rules, especially with your kids who are likely just happy to have some quality "hanging with dad" time. You're going to find inconsistencies,

Wow, just read up a bit on Billy. He is a bit "off"... now I'm convinced he'd have been great as Logan! Here's more on his early porn career:
“I made those movies, and did I make the wrong choice,” he said over the phone from Louisville. “Yeah, I did. But at the time I was trying to make it as an actor, and I needed the money, and those movies paid well.
“It was Hollywood, man, where y

I'm sure the same fate lies ahead for Hugh Jackman once he gets divorced, starts dating an int'l super model and is done with acting lol

Hugh Jackman's a good actor but always seemed too damned tall to be a convincing Wolverine, imo. He needs to stick to singing roles and girly movies where he plays opposite Meg Ryan.
Always thought 'Billy' from the first 'Predator' would've been a great Logan, but he's probably a senior citizen now:
"... we're all gonna die."
I'll have to check out this latest Wolverine now, only because t

Welcome and definitely! I'm sure you've got some classic tales going on there (or at least do it for your own nostalgia's sake; reliving some of those moments will be its own reward)

Damn. That reads almost so ridiculously and craptastically bad, that i'm almost compelled to read it... not just read it, but OWN it; but then I'd just be funding/encouraging future craptastic works of (v)art, so forget it... but Wolvie reduced to a lungless talking head!? LMAO! That's like a bad movie - so bad - that it's great!
