Gene, I haven't yet had the pleasure of looking over all of your character's yet, but I have to say this:
I LOVE the Great and Powerful Turtle! What a cool character, and man, what a cool image I get of him in my mind. Awesome!
I also really like the concept of Scorpion and bug, having had the ability to discuss them/him with you and get a more clear idea of him. Cool sci-fi character!

Hope to get him into some table-top RP, we play alot of other games on the computer together etc. He had a cool character concept for MSH, I hope to get him interested in trying to game. So, I'll log back into chat for a bit, and see who is around

I suppose it's all about whether you want your PC's to A ) regenerate more, and more often or B ) regenerate closer to the standard End rank structure. Personally, I'm with Nightmask in B, but that is my opinion. YMMV of course. Happy gaming, nonetheless. -Merctime
I edited this post because point B became a smiley somehow

I'm not involved with this site in any way, but I found it when I realized I couldn't re-size an animated .Gif without breaking it. If you'd like to do the same with your avatar here, due to the size restrictions, try this out: It worked for me, and I'm no computer whiz! Just check out the avatar I found on photobucket (that was only SLIGHTLY too big for CMF!!!) for proof
Pretty easy. Ha

So, I take it that no-one is interested in someone who would assist in updating the character profiles to the new form? Not trying to be a pest, but figured I'd bump this in case it was missed.

Now, this is an intelligent take on this subject. I would offer that the Champion and Vigilant would use standard karma awards, whereas the Grim character might get karma like a villain. Not trying to start a flame-war, just offering my take on this. Also, and this is purely my opinion, and nothing more: I see the Grim character as basically a villain with a very misguided streak. Wow. In my opinion this is way to philosophical for a 4 color superhero game.

I actually see the "old" wolverine's character as an excellent example of role-playing inside this 4 color system. Here is a character, who in original intent, struggled with his own bestial angst and tried to resist the urge to kill. His team-mates, trying to hold themselves to higher standards, spent much time trying to work with him and keep him calm enough to not kill during missions. Tryi

Absolutely play the game the way you want too in the comfort of your own home!
Just don't change the game mechanics overall to NOT reflect the 4 color morality of comic books in a 4 color comic book game
Hey, if you like it like that, play it like that. Won't happen in my games, however... And about the comments about other games, having played those games, I definitely get that statemen

Here is how the optional powers work. Say you have rolled, or chosen, TK. It lists True Flight as an "optional". How that is, is that while you still have TK (the optional does NOT take its place), if you have more powers left over (lets say you have 5 powers, for argument, and TK is your 3rd one you've gotten, so two left), well then instead of rolling for them you can "choose" the optional p

Ah! so... All of the references in the UPB about "the nemesis to this power is such and such" are referring to the actual POWER Nemesis, and used to illustrate what power that one brings to play? It isn't, say, "ok, I've got electrical manipulation! But, the nemesis to my power is mental absorption (or something, for sake of argument). So, anyone with mental absorption counteracts me!". In or

Well, I don't know you much, so nice to meet you. I do like what I've read from you so far, in terms of your views on gaming and stuff, and your ideas on character builds. On that end, your Big Trouble in Little China will be lurked by me, and I love your write up of Jack! So I'd like to offer a welcome back to you also. Cheers!

Hey Gene, just as an aside.... This is the first time I have ever mixed powers in such a fashion as I did with the Green Cricket. Is there anything with him you would disallow or change? I'm just curious. He is very new ground for me. I tried to keep him a bit 'silly', yet potentially dangerous, but not like stupid powerful. Your thoughts on him/critiques would be appreciated!
