There's a game that I got halfway through writing back in high school based on the old TV show "Land of the Giants"
Basically, the PC's crash their space ship after going through some kind of time portal or something and end up in this world that's a parallel of the late 1960's, except that in that world, people from our world are like 6 inches tall. The giants have standard 60's tech (maybe wi

I have several ideas.
"V" would make a great RPG. It would be like the old West End Games classic "The Price of Freedom" except with aliens and space shuttles! 1980's human tech vs ultra high alien tech gorilla war style in a world of the modern alien occupied Earth! How can you go wrong with that?
"Tron"! Why hasn't this happened yet? This would make for a great RPG. Computer hacking mis

Actually, a Highlander game DOES exist that was published.. The only thing is that they couldn't get the Highlander NAME. The game is called: "Legacy: War of Ages". My group playes this game for a few campaigns and had fun

I think the picture might fall under "Parody". Chikara is one of my absolute favorite wrestling promotions. One of it's main gimmicks is that the wrestlers are all comic book characters. Even the programs at their shows are actually comic books. They have a new issue every show. Their live shows are full of comic book tropes and parodies.

The only issue with Klooge is that you have to pay for it.

First off, the biggest issue is the fact that potential MSH players and fans searching for a good program to play MSH online wouldn't find it unless they did a web search for Paranoia related sites. The next thing is that it allows you to register on the Jparanoia server so you can see the list of games running with Jparanoia. The potential players seeing the game listing will probably be looki

JParanoia would be a good model to look at to base it on too. Its fantastic and has most of the features one would want aside from the functions in the GM Gizmo. They did that program right. It allows players to slip secret messages between players or between them and the GM, a nice chat window. It allows for sound effects, sending pictures to the players, viewing of and editing character she

I'm just putting this out there with the hope of inspiring someone who knows how to write programs.
I play the role playing game, Paranoia with friends online and we use a program called JParanoia (You can get it from Paranoialive.net to see what I'm talking about). It's designed for playing Paranoia, but you can fairly easily adapt it to other games as well. Then I started thinking "Wouldn't

The Gamer's Handbooks: Eel to Mad Dog and Mad Thinker to Sentry are broken. They keep giving me an error or a file that says "download" instead for some reason. I ran into this when downloading some of the adventure modules as well, but the problem with them corrected itself. It's not correcting itself with these two files.

How about Captain Power ? That show was actually VERY dark for a kidn't show. People actually got killed in it.. quite often (Probably why it didn't last long. The overprotective parent factor).
I used to like watching it and even devised an RPG to go with it as well back then.

For some reason, all the cartoons back then with any kind of adventure theme felt the need to drop some kind of really annoying stuped characters in. He-Man had Orco. Dungeons & Dragons had the Unicorn. Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors had the little knight robot. Blackstar had those little elf guys. The list goes on and on. I think they thought that kids wouldn't be interested without so

How about the old Dungeons & Dragons cartoon ? Will those poor kids ever make it back to the Earth ?

Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors ! If you eliminate some of the really annoying good guy characters, (and some of the annoying, sometimes painful, writing) that story actually has some interesting potential.

QuoteLike all systems it has it's kinks and while I freely admit that I've been playing Marvel off and on for a few years. And 95% of the time I've been the Judge to players who are more interested in the story than in power gaming. So when I come to something that doesn't make sense or seems to go in a strange direction I streamline it and call it done.
Power gaming has no place in a game like

Well, You could create your own. It's not hard to do. I use graph paper and photocopy them for the players when they need a map in front of them. There are also a lot of maps available in all the adventure modules (Each one has at least one map). Check out the boxed sets as well. A good place to look is at Dead End Avengers. They have a TON of books and some of the stuff isn't here. They e

I will usually have a stack of counters handy as well as maybe some miniatures (I use Heroclix). Sometimes I will use them as visual aids when exacting detail of positions are required. I don't like to use the "area movement" system as this turns the game into too much of a wargame. What I usually will do is describe really well what the situation is.. the area around them, and prime locations

From Nextwave:
Boom Boom (Flying toward a newly awakened Fin Fang Foom, the giant dragon that is trashing the city)
"Oh my god. It's wearing UNDERPANTS !!!"
and from the same comic..
Boom Boom gets snatched out of the air by Fin Fang Foom...
Fin Fang Foom: "FIN FANG FOOM PUT YOU IN HIS PANTS !!!"
Boom Boom: "NOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!"

QuoteBlacklight, which server do you play on in CoH? I'm on virtue myself.
I play on Guardian and Virtue. On Virtue, I have a STABLE of characters (Coincidentally.. they're all characters that I created for my old Marvel campagn. It's so cool to see the characters you spent years fleshing out breathing right in front of you. Most are slightly comical takes on the characters).

I loved it when Spider Man first encountered X-23. She popped out her claws and he said all startled, "WOLVERINE !!! WHAT DID THEY DO TO YOU !?!"
Yeah.. she tried to gut him.

All I can say is.. It was probably the best superhero movie I've seen yet. It was up there with Spider Man and didn't have the glaring plot holes and annoyances that the Xmen movies, Ghost Rider, and Hulk had. Go see this movie.

I've been behind the scenes as a lurker since the beginning of this site. I started playing Marvel Heroes about 24 years ago back in 1984 with the first boxed set. When the Advanced boxed set came out, I switched to that (I really liked the upgraded Universal Table). Six years later ammassed a BINDERFUL of newly created original characters and me and my friends had built an excellent stable of
