Well after spending some time refreshing my memory on what female super-heroes there are (of which a horrible lack of females in the inventive genius category) for a nice line-up I'd consider:
Sage: a nice set of powers and one of the rare females who actually does have tech-knowledge and skill
Thorgirl: Tarene gave herself a complete copy of all Thor's powers and abilities so a great choice for the special forces/heavy hitter category
Tigra: A stealth expert and pretty decent and experienced heroine (at least when she's not being treated as a chewtoy)
Monica Rambeau/Captain Marvel: Serious energy powers and some fine stealth abilities of her own and leadership skill
Agatha Harkness: Because let's face it she's extremely experienced with magic and has lived long enough to know how to work well with others and guide them as needed.
