I guess August 1st

A new Marvel Comics RPG is coming out.

How many game systems is this now? 4?

Faserip

Saga

some non dice stone thingy?

and this new one?

surprised Free League Publishing or Modiphius Entertainment didn't buy the rights and use their House systems....

I think i would of prefered a well established rule set and just stat the Marvel game to it. Even if it was crammed in and was the wrong fit for Genre and setting.- with so many super hero rpg's who cares? At least i would be mildly amused at a d20 MSU rpg or a D6 version that is in creative commons.

There was also the Marvel Heroic system from Margaret Weis

I have zero enthusiasm for this new game

FASERIP does the job just fine.

Nah, the Margaret Weis game used dice.
The game you're thinking of with the stones was called the "Marvel Universe RPG" and produced by Marvel itself.

I didn't realize this was still getting released. The playtest didn't do well and I hadn't heard anything since then so I thought it got dropped.

To Lame to fail.

Ironically if Hasbro / ( wizards of the coast ) had gotten the license that could have rebooted the FASERIP Marvel rpg and it would of sold better than this new thing. ( probably )

Not that this would of been desirable to old FASERIP fans - but sales wise - would have been Competitive
