Hey, Someone familiar with the Old Forum, do me a favor please

I need a list of at least two posts in the old forum archive that are not currently showing up properly. So far, no one's made me directly aware of which ones aren't working, and it's a huge pain to try to fix something when I don't know exactly what I'm looking for.

So if someone could just give me two posts that are "broken" it'll give me a good lead on where to implement a fix, as I manually dive through the exported SQL of the behemoth that is the old forum.

Thank you!!

Trying to find a few blank posts for you:

Nixia, Goddess of War

Gadget

Ke'Aryx

There's three examples of the blank posts from the Archived Forum. Ironically, the blank post problem seems to be most prevalent in the Your Favorites section of the Archives for some reason..

Hope this helps a bit..

Nixia, Gadget, and Ke'Aryx are definitely back up and about... smiling smiley

You're definitely putting forth quite the concerted effort, Kevin, and on things that other people elsewhere might choose to just ignore and leave as is. The effort is much appreciated.

Thanks so much, Redman... Honestly, it's possible that the whole archive database is now fixed... That I could see, there were at least 252 posts that were blanked out, and I think I've got them all showing now. If anyone can find any other blank posts in the old database, let me know. I figured out how to fix them now smiling smiley

All fixed! Except the one that was showing only the very last post. That is from Ragnarök. For some reason the old database, after being imported, is having massive trouble with special characters, and the Ragnarök user complicates things because the "ö" (o with umlaut) character is in his username, and in some subjects, and in so many other places in the database, i'm afraid to do a broad search-and replace, in case i replace one that needs to be there.

I'm sure I'll find a way around it, though. For now, all else looks well. Blank posts should be much less frequent.

SCRATCH THAT - I fixed the Ragnarök user too.

Ha, thanks a lot Redman.

Don't forget to thank the Skycutter, as well. He funds these little coding expeditions of mine.

We've also got scheduled backups of the site and databases going, so if there are any problems in the future, we've got 'em taken care of already!

I have to admit, though, going into the old database and getting everything displayable again... was not easy. But I'm glad it's done!

No guarantee that it's 100%, but I suspect it's very, very close.
