Ever have a name idea but no idea what to do with it, either stats or background?

What would you do with some of these:

Bloodstorm
Dirge
Headcase
Power Creep
Sacred Strike
Terrajoule

A high post count is indicative of little more than one having the time to post frequently.
It does not mean a person is more knowledgeable on any given topic than anyone else.

I was thinking about Power Creep when I kept seeing the term used, and I thought... Power Creep sounds like a Superman type who uses his X-Ray vision to spy on women (or men, whatever) and the rest of his powers to defend himself & escape when he's caught in the act.

Sacred Strike sounds like a Knights Templar type to me... maybe with powers like berserk or a targeted martial supremacy against 'the unholy' whatever that should be.

Sacred Strike

F: Ex (20)
A: Gd (10)
S: Rem (30)
E: Ex (30)
R: Ty (6)
I: Ex (20)
P: Inc (40)

H = 90
K = 66

pop = +/- 5 having the appearance of a Knights Templar will have a varying degree of impact on popularity depending on your geographic location

Equipment
Chain mail (Gd 10 Armour)
Shield (Ex 20 Armour)
Long sword (+10 edged attack or +5 blunt attack, Monstrous (75) material strength to stop him breaking his own sword when he goes berserk!)

Talents

(it depends how bad-ass you want to make him... as written his sword skill is now Unearthly!!! dropping a few talents tones him down a lot)
Medieval weapons (+1CS)
swords (+1CS)
Weapons specialist sword (+2CS)
Martial Arts C (+1CS dodge and grapple/escapes) [fighting in heavy Armour means you dont want to get pinned and have some guy shiv you up close and personal!]
Religion
Occult (for fighting witches and deamons)

Powers
Martial supremacy (M-Arts C) - Incredible (40) [linked to psyche: In my experience power stunts off this make him a very 'scalelable' over time]
Berserk (inc 40) - limitation can only be used against 'the unholy'

ok as no one else has played i will have another go

Bloodstorm - Im thinking some sort of blood magic here, possibly inspired by the knights Templar i did before?

F: Ex (20)
A: Ty (6)
S: Ty (6)
E: Gd (10)
R: Ex (20)
I: Ex (20)
P: Am (50)

H: 42
K: 90
Pop: -5 (eww factor)

Blood Magic: Amazing (50)*

A number of magical effects can be generated if a small quantity of blood is sacrificed to achieve the effect (about 1 hit points worth)

*spell rank modifiers
Willing sacrifice: blood that has been willingly sacrificed gives +1CS, to the spell rank. this includes the casters own blood
Unwilling sacrifice: stolen blood gives a -3CS to the spell rank, and a karma loss. this inlcludes blood found 'lying around' as a result of battle. note that any red roll edged attacks are likely to have produced a significant amount of blood in the local area
Old blood: blood that is not fresh is less effective. Each week the blood is out of the body reduces its effectiveness by -1CS
Size Matters: for a normal human 1 hit points worth of blood is around 1/6 of a pint, or 0.05 litres (50ml).
Size Matters-2: you can gain +1CS to the effective power rank by using ten times the usual amount of blood. As far as we know there is no upper limit to this effect...
Inhuman Blood: only normal human blood works for these spells.
Duration: lasts a rank number of time depending on successful roll (green = seconds, yellow = rounds, red = hours)
Unholy: Of course its wrong! your sacrificing blood for power, and you could drain a hospital and perform world destroying acts... whatever hellish fiend grants this magical effect is not to be messed with. Stop doing this type of magic before something really, really nasty bursts out of the ground and eats your soul!

different casters seem to be able to summon different effects using this type of magic. for Bloodstorm the following powers have been recorded

(recall rank varies depending on the type and amount of blood used in the casting)

Wards - impassable barriers with customization effects - includes things like 'no one with blue eyes my pass this ward'. can be used to enclose a space, block a door etc. 1 area per point of blood

shields - similar to wards but usually painted directly on a person or object to be protected, and will effectively protect against a single type of damage (physical, energy, psychic, or Magical)

masking - chameleon like blending

binding - the blood pools and then snakes off to ensnare the target. can also be thrown in a bottle to increase range (see 'eew factor' in popularity) range is one area unless thrown further

blood storm - bolts of red lightning shoot from the blood. Range is one area, unless thrown (meh... this is the least interesting use of the power, but its spectacular and fits his name)

equipment
tourniquet, cannula(s), razor blades, combat knife (+5 edged attack, Rem material strength), bandages, bandoleer of small glass bottles containing a sticky red substance (1d10 of them usually)

skills
first aid
knives (+1 CS fighting) - NB if he scores a red roll, Bloodstorm can use a targets own blood against them if they are a normal human.
Occultism
Latin
weapon specialist - thrown glass vials +2CS

OK, hes quite strange! you could mess with the +/- CS for 'willing' and 'unwilling' blood sacrifice to change his good guy/bad guy play-ablity quite a lot. obviously he fits into a slightly darker themed game better than your normal 'four colour' MSH game. i love the idea that once he cuts you he can entangle you in your own blood though smiling smiley

Yeah, play him smart with the Monstrous wards and the blending, not to mention the other stuff and he could be a real pain... Also lots of scope for bad puns based on pain, needles and cutting remarks winking smiley

Bloodstorm : I'd make this Character as a high-ranking / high-power / high-profile Vampire or Werewolf type guy... FASERIP stats would be fairly high and he'd wear regal (but tough) Armor that simply augments his already tuff-as-iron body constitution.

His main power (aside from his brute FASERIP) would be his ability to cast various spells based upon the blood he consumed from other Characters... As an example; if he managed to drink some of Hulk's Blood he could gain immense physical strength, or if it was Spider-Man the ability to shoot out bloody webbing and stick to walls.

Dirge : I'd make this guy as an 'Earth-Elemental' ... Most likely a Mummy type Character who can control and summon Gravity and Rock (from grains of sand all the way upto massive-ass boulders)... I'd give him immense Physical Strength, Stamina, and Armor; but fairly low Fighting and Agility to basically have him as an Armor Clad Tank that can manipulate Gravity and Rock Material.

Like a Tank in an MMO Video Game.... He'd use his Gravity Powers to pull enemies into Melee Range then he'd just use his brute strength to Rip, Crush, Smash, and Smother the living day-lights out of his foes.

He'd also use his Gravity and Earth Powers to construct and regenerate durable stone Armor. And 'IF' he's getting his ass kicked he could become Sand and slither away.

Headcase : I'd make him like MODOK... just a monstrous-deformed-disturbing freak with kick-ass Telekinesis and Telepathy...

Power Creep : Hulk with a Green-Lantern Ring...... The whole idea being his Power simply keeps Creeping Up as he fights.

Sacred Strike : Basically an Infernal Angelic Type Character... Spawn, Judge Dredd, and Ghost-Rider all mixed up .... and like those Characters, Sacred Strike's name-stake would be his ability to One-Shot his foes 'IF' they had crossed particular moral boundaries...

Terrajoule : Again, I'd make this Character as an 'Earth-Elemental'.... Probably a Female Version of Dirge who has hella class and clout, but instead of Rocks and Sand; Terrajoule would use Gems, Diamonds, Gold, Sapphires, Rubies, and precious stones and valuable metals.

She'd also rely much, much, more on her mastery of Gravity and Stones than her brute strength.... So her FASE would most likely be very close to normal human levels, but her RIP stats would be hella high...

She'd also have Slaves and an ability to control massive herds of those big-funky Scarab Beetles.... (totally for her 'Spy' missions of espionage and contraband)

I like this idea. Sometimes all you start with is a name and you build from there. Let's see what I can do with these.

Bloodstorm
Vladimir Ivanovitch

F: 20
A: 25
S: 25
E: 35
R: 12
I: 30
P: 30

H: 105
K: 72

POWERS
Hemokinesis (blood control): 30
Bloodstorm's primary ability is to telekinetically control blood. With this power he can draw blood from a body and to himself to ingest. The victim can make an Endurance Feat to resist this against Remarkable Intensity. A successful save will result in only partial damage being taken and only 15 points of blood loss. Each time a victim suffers blood loss they must make an Endurance check to avoid suffering a -1CS versus all FACERIP due to dizziness. Each failed check is a cumulative -1CS as the blood loss increases. A White result forces the victim to make a second Endurance Check or pass out.

Bloodstorm can also use the blood in similar fashion to the power Water Control. To that end he can use blood as a weapon to inflict either Blunt Force or Edged Damage (40 damage). He can create simple blood constructs such as weapons, tentacles, cages etc (40 material strength). With enough blood even blood golems under his direct mental control can be made (much like Pyro's fire monster constructs). Golem stats: F:20 A:20 S:30 E:30 H:100 If Bloodstorm is knocked out the golem or construct returns to being inert blood.

Puppetry: 30
Bloodstorm can control the physical reactions of others by controlling the blood within their body. Victims are allowed to make a Strength Feat vs Remarkable intensity to resist this. However the conflict of fighting themselves will still result in a -2CS to FACE Feats and -1CS to RIP Feats due to the strain involved.

Bio Vampirism: 35
Bloodstorm suffers with the thirst of the vampire having inherited some of the vampires traits after drinking its blood. Each night in order to avoid drinking blood he must make a Psyche and Endurance Feat. On the night he fails he must feed.

Regeneration: 30
Drinking blood will heal Bloodstorm of up to 30 points of damage at a time. Drinking enough blood (up to his full Health Points) will even restore lost body parts.

Special Traits
Vlad had become something of a Dhamphir, his physical abilities have reached nearly peak human levels but he craves blood and no longer eats food. He sleeps during the day but not in a death like coma of a vampire. Exposure to the sun in uncomfortable but not lethal. His night vision is excellent and he can see people in utter darkness via the heat of their blood. He does not have claws or fangs. He can smell blood with the keenness of a wolf (30) and can hear a heartbeat 15 feet away (30) (within the same area as himself).

HISTORY
Vladimir was a Russian soldier who was part of the Ukraine invasion force. He was part of a forward recon unit pushing forward into the enemy lines one night and was set upon by a vampire. The vampire quickly whisked him away from his team and drained his blood. Vlad did not stay dead, however, a metagene in his dna activated a latent power and with his final breath he reached out with his power and drew his blood from the vampire back into his own body saving him. The vampire sucked dry off all blood promptly crumbled into dust, completely desiccated. Vlad tried to return to his unit, but he was consumed with the vampire's blood thirst and ended up killing and draining them all. Horrified he fled not only the war but also his country. Not wanting to bring the horror he had become to his own home, Vladimir came to the home of the great enemy, the United States, where he wouldn't feel so guilty about killing to maintain his own existence.

PERSONALTY
Vladimir is a monster and he knows it but is not completely ruthless. He prefers to kill the obviously evil people in the world (criminals, drug dealers). But having been indoctrinated in Russia to think of Americans as the enemy he will take soldiers or Police if need be considering them to be corrupt as well as the rich for similar reasons. If the need is dire he will take anyone to slake his thirst considering it a necessary evil to preserve his own life. He has at times been known to protect the weak or downtrodden seeing them as victims of capitalism.

That's all for now. I'll work on the rest later.

Wow haven't seen you around in ages! Nice to have you back and such a nice contribution!

Been meaning to get back around for quite some time after my long hiatus from the net due to computer issues. Finally made it as you can see and Im glad you like the entry. Nothing I like better than making characters and comics. RPGing and MMO's are where I develop a lot of ideas for my OCs (original characters).

Be back later, now off to bed.

Thanks and glad you liked it. I forgot to add the certain powers that strengthen the body like True Invulnerability would prevent the Blood Loss attack as such a power would prevent the blood from being able to seep out of any of the victim's blood vessels.

Realizing that it had strange properties, Mark decided to try using that crystal as a stabilizing/focusing element in his device. He did that and it seemed to work. He was able to create a stable perpetual motion/energy device. Shortly after he achieved stability, the crystal started to fluctuate and exploded. Mark was bathed in the energy and was rendered unconscious. After he woke up, he had himself checked out and realized that his body became a perpetual motion energy generator and he now possesed extraordinary powers and most of his bodily systems were now enhanced to super human levels. Being the CEO and Research head of one of the major research and development companies in the country, Mark decided to use his abilities to help contain threats to the public and Humanidyne.

Albreinus is a scientist from the planet Altera in the Kalium Galaxy. Albreinus was a scientist and discovered that his entire planet and in fact the whole solar system was collapsing and would be dying soon. Even though the race was advanced, they had not really explored the potential of long range space flight. Albreinus created a ship that would allow him and his family to escape and relocate to a new planet in a new system. In order to accomplish this, He and his entire family were put into suspended animation. Along the way the explosion of the solar system created a wormhole that sent him to the intergalactic void between the Milky Way Galaxy and the Pegasus Galaxy. During that time the ship kept going to the Milky way Galaxy. While it was traveling in the void, something went wrong and when they somehow arrived on Earth, Albreinus' body had disintegrated and he was now nothing more than pure neural (psionic) energy. While on the ship he discovered that his family had died and he had discovered he had powers and eventually was able to take human shape.
