It's a stray thought but in terms of fantasy "classes" and given how high random stats in FASERIP can go, it would be feasible to "see what class you qualify for" by setting a minimum score for each class.

Fighting would determine if you can be a Warrior or not, Psyche a Wizard and Agility a Rogue.
From there the characters would get basic packages of Talents for each class, in addition to any powers or abilities they roll up. So a super-powered fantasy world, say more like He-Man or the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon.

If a character qualifies for more than one class it could be a Warrior-Wizard or Fighter-Magic-User, Magic using Rogue, and so on.

Ranger, Bard, Barbarian and say Assassin are all similar in approach, and say for Paladin require minimum scores in multiple stats.

For more esoteric and arbitrary classes like Monk a requirement could even be a minimum Karma score. Likewise for a Merchant a minimum Resources score.

Just a stray thought. smiling smiley
