The Gorn Captain, from Star Trek.

A wonder hit wonder of an alien race in Star Trek, brought back decades later for a lousy cameo, the Gorn Captain stole the show in the Star Trek episode the Arena. He was defeated in combat by Captain James T. Kirk who used martial arts and the terrain rocks and sticks to hold the Gorn Captin back, and ingenuity to develop a makeshift gunpowder explosion propelling hard gems to ultimately defeat his adversary.

The Gorn is a reptilian race that averages 2 meters tall, and can regularly exceed 7 feet in height. They have sharp teeth and claws, they are several times stronger than a human being. In the Arena episode, the Gorn captain threw a boulders over 1 ton at Captian Kirk with a good amount of speed. However the Gorn's reaction time, speed and agility are among the slowest among sentient beings in the galaxy.

Gorn Captain:

FIghting: Typical
* Agility: Poor
Strength: Incredible
Endurance: Remarkable
Reason: Good
Intuition: Good
Psyche: Excellent

Health: 80
Karma: 40

Powers:

Reptilian hide offers typical protection vs. physical attacks.

Claws - Good edged damage

Bite - Excellent damage

*Negatives:

-3 on all initiative rolls, +4CS to hit due the Gorn's slow reaction time.
+1CS damage on cold-based attacks.
A top running speed of about 6 miles an hour

Equipment: Distributors, excellent range, up to incredible damage depending on the settings.

Talents: Leadership, Hunting and tracking, Wrestling, and negotiation.

Watch him in action here:

Incredible strength is a bit much. He would've pulped Kirk. I'd give the Gorn Ex strength. Not sure about the extreme initiative penalty either. Granted, the guy in the Gorn suit couldn't see or move very well (and was apparently told to play it in slow motion) but +4CS pretty much guarantees a hit. Kirk Fu needs no assistance. ;-)

I based the Gorn's strength level on throwing bolder with force and distance. It had to be over a ton, hence the indelible level. Being super strong, but very slow means Kirk could likely take a blow or two. He won the match with just enough fighting skills ( Federation martial arts ) , agility, and ingenuity.

Is it possible to see Captain Kirk's stats to see how he compares to the Gorn captain?

The Gorn was definitely not rocking an Incredible Strength, at best it was Remarkable. The rock he throws isn't even remotely in the range of a ton or more, at the worst half a ton and really more likely around 500 lbs or so. Incredible Strength he'd have killed Kirk in one blow, two at best (because there's no way in a death match it was holding back).

Not to mention that when they grappled, it would have easily overpowered Kirk, but instead they wrestled and Kirk was resisting fairly well.

Well its better than Remarkable. Maybe 3-4 ton range, which for the game rates as Incredible?

Remarkable strength can lift an object which weights about a ton, not hurl an object weighing about a ton 30 feet or so with velocity to the throw. I could lift a 45 pound weight plate over my head, but throwing it past a few feet is not going to happen with my good strength level.

Kirk himself has martial arts talents, he might have known how to brace. He did not break free with strength, rather he stunned the Gorn with an ear blow, which may be a sensitive area on the species.

I've thought about that question a few times and came up with the perfect solution - Gorn are Cold-Blooded and the planet he and Kirk fought on was cold.

Let's say, 40 degrees F.

With Kirk running around and fighting, the temperature would have been the least of his concern. Not worth mentioning. The Gorn however would have trouble even moving.

On a nice 80 degree afternoon, it'd have been like Kirk was try to fight a Utahraptor!
