So i guess the new....
MARVEL MULTIVERSE ROLE-PLAYING GAME: CORE RULEBOOK Hardcover – August 1, 2023
is coming out.... I don't suppose anyone wants to shell out 54 bucks plus tax to review a game that most likely won't be better than
TSR Marvel RPG ( FASERIP ) ...????[/quote
I guess don't knock it until you try it. But I expect to knock it.

It is absolutely a waste of a talent. It does nothing for the character as written.
For a super smart hero or hero with a battle suit option talent, or unique weapon this talent grants heroes that ability to have access to specialized equipment.
One has to be creative with it.
Think Batman, Iron Man, or Mister Fantastic.
Or if you are using a villain for example Doctor Doo

The Legion of Doom, from the tv show
And their ranks of least powerful member to most powerful member.
Tier 4
13. The Riddler. He doesn't help the Legion of Doom much. Expect for giving the hero's clues. Really the Joker would have been a better member.
12. Scarecrow. An under used character with fear gas that can create the ultimate fear.
11. Cheetah Good speed and agility.

Has anyone ever let players roll their 7 ability ( faserip ) scores randomly as per usual - then let them choose where they go? Instead of Straight down the line?
Similar to 5e D&D . Still rolling scores but maybe preventing a player getting stuck with a feeble agility and Amazing fighting or that old man kung fu example from an earlier post : the feeble strength Amazing fighting

Our local paper has the daily Spider-Man strip and it recently began an arc about Egghead. Wanting to know more about this villain, I quickly consulted the handy character profiles on this site and was surprised to discover the villain's Reason listed as a mere Excellent. Turns out this is the baseline Reason for a Marvel scientist, as listed in the Judge's Book, but that spurre

Superhero RPG's and the Genre itself may be unbalanced generally speaking.
Look at early super Teams , like the Avengers.
A lineup could or did have at one time HULK, IRONMAN, THOR , ant man, wasp ( see what i did there with the capital letters ? )
DC comics - SUPERMAN - or BOY with Karate KId etc etc

Does anyone remember this show? I thought it was excellent and deserves a thread of its own.
Looking back, I am surprised it only had 16 episodes. Because I am bored, here is my rank of the Hall of Justice members for least valuable member to MVP , using the show as a guideline. I will do the hall of Doom later.
Tier four.
11. Robin. Although he is voce by the legendary Casey Kasem,

Is it any good? How does the feature called luck factor in? And the races , the Leprechaun is interesting. He is the smallest and weakest but is prone to magic, can teleport and has and usually high luck rating? A cross between dungeons and dragons and lord of the rings? I have never played this 70s RPG.

Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere and I missed it.
I am curious as to what are the perceived
or actual weaknesses of the system. What useful rules were missing? What rules missed important or obvious things? What rules hindered play? What improvements were missing?
As I read back through the core books of the MSHRPG system after years of having no one to play this sys

My understanding is punch is causes power rank Amazing strength = 50 points of damage, but is this an accurate way to do things? Would it be better for Amazing strength to cause or better to cause a - 1cs in damage to 40 points of damage. Or Monstrous strength to cause 50 points? This would reflect the comics more accurately. Amazing strength even though is causes 40 points of damage still

Karnnak vs Shang Che. In the game is Karrnak all the way. Karnak has a higher strength ( more danage ) ,ulimate skill, the weakness detection, and ultimate marial arts skill. Chi is a good character just a nomral human and not on that level. Note, they botched Karnak's karma score. It should be 80. Very high for any superhero.

I like Karnak, but his Ignore Resistance power under Weakness Detection seems just somewhat useful as you have it presented.
It allows him to Stun and Slam opponents whose Endurance are greater than his strength. Redundant. He possesses Martial Arts A, and that talent does the very same thing. So nothing is added here. He may even totally ignore the effects of armor, resistance,

For those of you who are not aware, Heavy Metal Magazine has returned from the grave for their third incarnation.
This time they are launching their own brand of comics.
Most interesting of their comics line up is, of course, Taarna, The Last Taarakian, now available for pre-order at a reasonable price and with great artwork, unlike Marvel and DC with their BS.

If there was a power rank between Amazing and Monstrous, I would put Doom and Richards in that spot.
As for Egghead, is excellent high enough? I mean he seems to exist in both and Marvel and DC universe.
Someday maybe he'll tell us who's the better super hero. Batman or Spiderman?

I said, " So why can't Fox or MCU get him right?"
Fox screwed the pooch, MCU never introduced him. Better?

Most people are not good at public speaking. The " thing " can be explained as I added dementia to his profile. I think the write up was a fair one. If i missed out on any talents, please let me know.
