Also consider the very limited number of real world objects that weigh 100+ tons that aren't a collection of parts that total 100+ tons rather than one big chunk of something that weighs 100+ tons. Sure, a jumbo jet might weigh 100+ tons, but if something strong enough to lift it picked it up by the nose or a wing or the landing gear, shifting away from its center of gravity is going to snap that

Per the UPB description - "The Power can accelerate or reverse the aging process. The normal rate is multiplied by the Power rank number, For example a Good rank can make the aging occur at tenfold rate or go in reverse at an equal rate..."
Normally I can figure stuff out on my own, but this one is stumping me. "Normal rate" would be that a target ages 6 seconds every round (6 seconds), hit the

Taika Waititi should have been asked one simple question before being allowed to touch a Thor movie.
"Which issue of the Thor comic over the decades gave you the idea that Thor deals with loss and grief by becoming a pathetic loser and clown?"
Can't answer, burn the script on your way out. Don't call us. Ever.

I agree somewhat. MoM was more a Sam Raimi film than a Marvel film. Quick name a camera trick or plot twist from any Evil Dead movie that wasn't used in MoM. Time's up, you can't lol. If you've seen Evil Dead movies, you're seen MoM. Substitute the Darkhold for the Necronomicon... hey look, Bruce Campbell lost control of his hand. It's like a Sam Raimi film or something.

Not really, there isn't.
The difference between RM 29 and RM 30 is that RM 30 can do 1 point more Health damage with a punch than RM 29. Both have an equal chance of automatically lifting up to 400 pounds (Good), rolling a Green FEAT to lift between 401 to 800 pounds (Excellent) rolling a Yellow FEAT to lift 801 pounds to 1 ton (Remarkable), or rolling a Red FEAT to lift 1 ton and a pound to 10

Keep in mind that Realms of Magic was written and released for the Basic set of MSHRPG. They should have made an Advanced rules version, but unfortunately they did not.
But the Advanced Players Book did add to the rules governing the use of Personal, Universal, and Extra-dimensional energy magics, and these do change the game a bit. For example, personal energy spells can only affect the self or

The Eternals is "the Last Jedi" of MCU movies. Okay, maybe not that bad.

It gets better, but it is a slog. I have not been able to watch a full episode in one sitting. It's more like a chore than an entertainment source, and that's mostly because of the target audience. It's not aiming at me, like all the other MCU-shows, so it's not hitting. But, for more post-Endgame world building, it is at least something. Not as good at that as the Falcon and the Winter Soldier s

I always ruled that Spider-Man's danger-sense worked as an automatic dodging, unless the player specifically overrode the "reflex" to remain in danger. That way Spider-Man could always be dodging while taking other movement actions at full range at the same time, including declaring dodging atop the automatic dodging. This usually wasn't necessary because the Danger-Sense boosted initiative so Sp

It's a quirky 3d6 system, and play test rules as written have a flaw that might start fist fights (or at least heated arguments) at your table... The game narrator can rob you of what would have been critical success rolls by adding "trouble" to a system that already sets challenges and difficulty levels. That will probably get booed and tomatoed out by the negative feedback from play testers.

Those modifiers are in addition to the other possible column shift modifiers (range, size, speed if target is moving, environmental conditions, etc.)
Also, certain attacks like machine gun and laser / light speed energy projectiles require prerequisite levels of Agility (plus modifiers, if any) to even attempt to dodge, and the impossible FEATs rules make those work even better. For example, it

My answer is "I am Groot."
Which means, Allspeak isn't needed by telepaths.
IIRC, Allspeak basically is an Asgardian magical language that makes speaker and listeners hear each other in their own tongue. Thor in the MCU had to study Groot's language, obviously not covered by the parameters of the Allspeak spell. It's a good thing Groot knows English, somehow. Unless we go Multiversal and pocket

Karnak vs. Shang Chi? In the game, Karnak all day long. Keep in mind Karnak can Evade FEAT the whole time he's studying Shang-Chi. Then put the whammy on Shang-Chi with Evasion bonuses on top to make the whoop ass sauce all frothy.

I liked the Batman movie. It had everything you'd want from a Batman movie if you've been a long time Batman fan and have been dying to see a Batman that doesn't kill or use the Zack Snyder cop out that it's the villain's fault that rockets launched from the Batmobile blew them up. Not only is this Batman not a psycho killer or sadistic branding iron wielding weirdo, this Batman has detective ski

Got my copy of the play test rules today. Yes, FASERIP is easier to pick up and play, but the mechanics of the new game aren't really complex either. Seems similar to d20 Dungeons and Dragons, probably intentionally so. It's missing a economics / Resources / building stuff mechanic for gadgeteers...

I do individual initiatives and have everyone declare actions. Then higher initiatives can roll to alter their declared actions to pre-empt lower initiatives as necessary in combat.

Best answer.
I've pre-ordered the Marvel Multiverse RPG playtest that comes out in March / April 2022. I'm sure that's going to have this place blow up with people looking for content and conversion guides. I intend to run a playtest game of that new system online somewhere, probably rpol.net.

QuoteThrudjelmerHow were your Resources? If you had some to spare, you could always have traded some ranks to boost your initial powers total.
Yes, going into poverty at the start is worth it considering how much buying a power costs after you get started. You can move Feeble Resources up to Typical way cheaper than the karma cost for the new power.

interesting side note, the basic rules ( and some official write ups for advanced rules ) have it that Captain America can shield himself ( absorb ) 90 points of damage per round. the advanced MSH game rule does not mention this just the material strength of the object being used as a " shield "
The 90 points stat was probably an arbitrary number and never sat well with me because of

Good summation Thrudjelmer. I *really* need to download the rule books again lol. I always assumed it was Cap's Unique Weapon Shield bonus (+2cs) that negated the -2cs penalty for taking other actions along with the shielding. It's clumsily worded, but six in one hand and a half dozen in the other it all arrives at the same result. Cap can shield and whoop ass at the same time because of his uniq

What exactly is the process for using a shield (or something like it) during a combat round? Take Captain America or Taskmaster for example. The rules on pg. 31 of the Advanced Player's Book mention that if declared as an initial action, Cap could use his shield (presumably making a Fighting FEAT to stop an attack) and take one other action. Could that other action be an a
