Hey guys long time no post!
I have a question and was wondering if any of you all would be willing to help. I'd like to create a street-level character(possibly an NPC) who is a normal human that found a magic item from Asgard. I want to base the item on the Gauntlets of Ogre Power from D&D.
The guy is completely normal unless he's wearing the gauntlets. Once he puts them on, they can't

In general I think letting people re-roll is probably not the best way to handle. Maybe letting them move some numbers around to balance out the character more might work. No matter what game I'm playing the one attribute that I can't stand a low roll in is Intellect/Reasoning type stat. It's probably a personal issue, but it always bugs me.
Point allocation can work, but that can have it's own

I'm curious how various GM's deal with bad rolls for ability scores. There's always that one person who has a run of bad luck and ends up with terrible scores... which basically make him a glorified NPC. So outside of using a point-buy system how do you deal with a player who has string of bad die rolls?

Those write-ups are 100% AMAZING!
I'm an old guy so I remember all those actors and their TV shows . I thought your Superman write-up was especially inventive, including your creative solution to Super Breath.
NICE WORK!

I think the comics toyed with Nightcrawler and Angel actually being descendants of Demonic and Angelic mutants respectively. It was an awful, terrible, horrible concept. And I'm pretty sure it was retconned out. At some point in time Angel was a horseman of Apocalypse - Archangel. Which left him with metal wings. That's the version of Angel we saw in the latest X-men movie. Not 100% but close eno

This is amazing.... I'm blown away.
Are there going to be character template examples in the book? That's something I like to see. Like here's an example of a spell-caster or a super-strong brick character.

Holy Crap... this is so much to read...and AWESOME!!!!
I'm a bit slow on the uptake so it will take me a bit to get through all of this. Thanks guys!!!
Note.. I probably don't need to write a MA guide... Ty did an amazing job.
Ty... do you mind if clean up what you posted and keep for my own personal use? I.e. I wouldn't give or share with anyone..just use it to make my own Martial Arts char

Great Suggestions but I disagree on Psyche. Most of those powers come right from the MHS power descriptions for heroes like Iron Fist. Chi is definitely a psychic/magical energy that the super-martial artist is drawing on, to perform superhuman acts. So I'm leaving them as Psyche rolls.

So I'm writing my own Street Level Hero supplement for MSH. This is to be a guide for those wanting to run Street Level adventures using FASERIP or MSH. In the supplement I'm working on adding some Chi Manipulation powers.
Would you all mind taking a look at the power descriptions and giving me some feedback?
Full disclosure- most of these power ideas came from old forum threads I read. As we

I always thought Heir to a Fortune, would make a better super-power than talent. Your resources would match the powers rank or add +1CS to resources.

Yeah, my secret dream job would be marvel assigning me their lamest heroes and villains... and allowing me to run wild with them. I just wrote an update for the Trapster. A villain who get's a lot of grief but IMHO could be a major trouble in the hands of a good GM. I mean the guys a genius who specializes in chemistry. So much potential there. Super sticky adhesives, acids, maybe even chemical

I'm writing a campaign that I wanted to use the Trapster in. But was very disappointed in the write-ups I found. So I made some tweaks. While this version of the Trapster isn't 100% Cannon, he is very close to how he's depicted in the Ultimate Spider-Man animated series. I like how he uses grenades to deliver his payloads in the series. But I also liked the variety of effects he could achieve i

How did I miss this thread?
Let's see.. I'm rather boring really. I'm a long time fan off all things marvel. Enjoying comics and superheroes is something I'll never give up. Fun fact, my great grandmother collected comicbooks. When she died the family found a treasure trove full of the old Archie comics from the 50's....and then foolishly threw them away!!!!
Anyway, I chalk up my love for comi

I'm really spending too much time on this website -- but I'm recovering from being sick and have lots of time on my hands .
Anyway... I used the Terrigen Mist supplement on the website to create my own Inhuman. Again, stuck with various powers that didn't seem to mesh. - then I remembered the Inhuman Crystal can control the weather and the elements. So after a liberal interpretation of Geoforce

While enjoying a holiday on a tropical Island, Storm and her students (The New Mutants) are kidnapped by Loki. Loki, enamored with Storm, transforms her into the new Goddess of Thunder. She later breaks free of his control after a battle involving the New Mutants, The X-men, Amara the Enchantress, Trolls, and a host of Asgardians.
By far, this remains my favorite incarnation Storm. So here's my

Just for fun I was throwing the dice around and came up with this character. I usually don't get random rolls that are so easy to tie together into a character write up. She turned out well enough I thought. So I decided to post her instead of hitting the delete button.
That's a very nice character.

This character was mostly random rolled. The only things I added were the limitations. Everything else was was up to luck. At first I was like what in the world am I going to do with Water Control, Phasing, and Martial Arts (Judo). Then I thought about the Water Benders in Avatar! It all came together after that. I figured the phasing skill was a combination of his Water powers and his extensive

I'm a big fan of taking drawbacks & limitations on supers builds. It's one of the things that makes superhero rpg's unique imho. Here's a character that I first thought about many years ago. Back after I had read my first ROM comic (Yes, I'm that old..). The concept is a young woman who survived an attack from a body stealing Dire Wraith. The wraith was killed before it could do lethal dama

Hmm.. those are good observations.
I see the triple cost as a way of preventing a Sorcerer from becoming OP. However, I was thinking that since it's a multipower, taking it should forbid any other power selections. Since it can simulate having a number of powers anyway.
Yes, but taking other powers allows a sorcerer to have a couple of magical trinkets... maybe

I built this character as an interesting exercise but slowly became more enamored of it as things progressed. His primary power is a headful of thick prehensile dreadlocks. Which is backed up by his wrestling talents (Grappling). So now I have an ex-wrestler on the run from super-powered mafia men. Feedback and comments welcome. I haven't rolled a MSH character in over 30 years.
