I can't believe I forgot to respond to this, especially given the fun I had building Angst Man. He was meant to go into games where the GM and players are way too obsessed with the idea that without non-stop angst you aren't having a serious game (see how many people RL think they aren't having a real, serious life because they've managed to actually have some time that wasn't filled with angst and drama).

Left off the extra angst of Wolverine being a stinky, cigar-smoking, booze guzzling hairy bum who STILL manages to get hot chicks after him as well. At least Cyclops fits the general male definition of attractive, so with his mouth shut he can at least attract women on his looks before they learn what an angsty whiner he is. Wolverine doesn't even have that.

Hmmmm, so without the remaining 585 CP worth of heroes (Cable, Psylocke, Union Jack, Captain Britain, and Shatterstar) it's impossible for me to complete Season 2 if I'm interpreting things correctly, and I've currently got 180 CP (so could barely afford Captain Britain and Union Jack). 4 of them are required to meet the requirement for deploys and Cable is required to meet one of the heroic battle requirements (and God knows the Spider-Woman battle alone is ridiculously weighted against you ever hoping to win it). If I got any of them I'd have to go back and fight them in Season 1 anyway to level them up as all but one is necessary as a hero for various boss fights and can't possibly complete any of those again using a level 1 hero.

Ugh, so what to do and who to get if anyone. Since I really doubt any old heroic battle or deploy will count only those you haven't won/completed yet. All while the new costumes for Iron Fist dangle out of reach as part of the 100% completion requirement.

Mr. Roboto

Super-hero ID: Mr. Roboto
Name: Carl Jenkins
Power Category-Induced Mutant
Source of Super-human Powers: Exposure to exotic chemicals
Appearance: Carl appears as an average height, fairly muscular and tanned human who tries to dress however is best suited to a situation although defaults to his work clothes as his preferred choice in general. In his robotic form he is taller and appears in a gender-neutral configuration similar to an armored knight with a genetic face showing through his helm.

Height: 5’ 8”/6' 4”
Weight: 175 lbs/313 lbs
Sex: Male
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Green
Age: 24

Fighting: Excellent (20)/Remarkable (30)
Agility: Excellent (20)/Remarkable (30)
Strength: Excellent (20)/Incredible (40)
Endurance: Amazing (50)/Unearthly (100)
Reason: Amazing (50)
Intuition: Incredible (40)
Psyche: Amazing (50)

Health: 110/200
Karma: 140
Resources: Excellent (20)
Popularity: S10/H30

POWERS

Shape-shifting: Mr. Roboto has the Incredible rank ability to change his form into anything he desires, limited solely by his imagination. This power in combination with his Body Transformation power lifts the normal restrictions on his shapeshifting power in that he is not restricted to retaining his normal biological composition while imitating say a chair or rock and may convert himself into wood, metal, or whatever else is desired in any desired combination.

Body Transformation-Self: Mr. Roboto may alter the basic elements and compounds of his body with Incredible ability, allowing him to change his overall body or portions of it into any desired material or materials. Transformation into other substances leaves him with the same properties, beneficial and baneful, as the new substances into which he’s transformed. If broken or scattered in this altered state he may eventually reassemble himself, with the time required dependent on the degree to which he’s scattered.

Hyper-Invention: Amazing rank increase to Reason in regards to comprehending, designing, repairing, and improving upon existing technology as well as developing new technologies as needed, and provides a bonus of a 2CS reduction to the Resource feat required to construct something before the feat roll is made.

Robotic Form: Extensive practice and devotion to the development of his heroic alter-ego has granted Mr. Roboto the following powers and abilities while in his robotic form:
-Invulnerability to attacks that affect organic beings due to being transformed into a purely robotic form.
-Incredible protection from physical and energy attacks.
-Vulnerable to technology-based attacks, taking 1CS extra damage from such and requiring an Endurance feat to resist physical attacks such as EMP and a Psyche feat to resist technology-controlling attacks. Failure to resist places him in the position of having to either revert to his organic form in order to break the control or wait for an event to occur that would force another resistance check (such as being forced to use potentially lethal force against someone).
-Damage to his robotic form heals at the same accelerated rate as for his organic self and this damage is separate from his organic self's health due to his investing so much effort into creating the distinct robotic form for himself.
-All frequency radio transceiver and cell-phone capabilities capable of functioning with Amazing rank range and sensitivity.
-Enhanced sensors provide him with Remarkable rank hearing and sight and Incredible rank infra-vision and UV vision.

Power Duplication: Due to his metamorphic abilities Mr. Roboto can duplicate the powers and abilities of any technological device he's had the opportunity to study or make physical contact with on a successful Reason feat vs the technology in question and has the potential to do so with super-human powers as well although his focus on maintaining his robotic persona hampers his development of it to that level currently. This power functions at the Amazing level of effectiveness.

Linguistics: Remarkable rank ability to quickly and completely learn any language he's exposed to and can perceive as well as decrypting any code he comes across.

Regeneration: Mr. Roboto's shapeshifting powers automatically work to quickly repair any damage taken, providing him with Excellent regeneration and the ability to restore lost limbs and organs.

Anatomical Separation: Carl retains complete control over his body even in the event of dismemberment, allowing him to function while reduced to pieces and eventually reassemble himself with the degree of difficulty depending on how many pieces he's reduced to and how far apart they are dispersed.

Engineering; Electronics; Computers; Chemistry; Biology;

HISTORY

Carl Jenkins was a child prodigy from a very young age with an intense interest in how things were put together and building things resulting in his devouring everything he could find when it came to engineering, chemistry, and biology. It was during some of his experiments in chemical synthesis that resulted in his being exposed to an unknown mixture of chemicals when a contaminant resulted in the experiment exploding and dousing him with the contents of his lab that were outside the containment locker at the time. When he came to he was immediately aware something was wrong as his body shifted and morphed uncontrollably. Only through hours of intensive effort did he begin to retain a somewhat humanoid form and days before he was relatively stable.
As he worked to master his new powers Carl realized there was so much more he could do with them, with them he could expand his goals beyond the narrow focus he'd lived for up to that point. He had to have survived the accident for more than what he'd been striving for in life up to that point. He would put his powers to use to helping others. Towards that end he sought to develop an alter-ego of sorts, one that would make it extremely difficult for someone to discover his true identity and what could be more unlikely than appearing as a robotic hero? A form that when he was complete he could adopt in an instant and maintain as naturally as his own body no matter what shape he was in, one named after the song that chanced to come on the radio at the time: Mr. Roboto!

Olympian

Super-hero ID: Olympian
Name: Kelly Holt
Power Category-Induced Mutant
Source of Super-human Powers: Physical and genetic restructuring by unknown power-enhanced gemstone.
Appearance: Kelly is a relatively plain-looking white male with a trim physique that reveals little of his true strength and vitality and generally wears non-descript attire like jeans and a t-shirt over flashier attire. His hero costume is a mixture of Spider-man’s and Wolverine’s, with the trunk and head made up of the familiar red and blue of Spider-man’s costume only in reverse and the somewhat gaudy knee high black boots and black back-pointing gloves sometimes worn by Wolverine. This is likely to change however as he works to create a more unique identity.

Height: 5’6”
Weight: 149 lbs
Sex: Male
Hair: Auburn
Eyes: Blue
Age: 20

Fighting: Incredible (40)
Agility: Monstrous (75)
Strength: Incredible (40)
Endurance: Incredible (40)
Reason: Good (10)
Intuition: Monstrous (75)
Psyche: Unearthly (100)

Health: 195
Karma: 185
Resources: Typical (6)
Popularity: S0/H25

POWERS

Spider-Climb: Olympian has the ability to generate a molecular bonding field between any part of his body and anything else he desires with Monstrous ability, as such he most often uses this to climb any surface as well as to bond his costume to him in order to make it more difficult for someone to unmask him in some fashion. This field has limited range and won’t work in most case through anything thicker than thick material like cloth.

Danger Sense: Olympian has an automatically functioning danger sense that operates at the Monstrous level of sensitivity with the level of the threat reflected by the intensity of the sensation and allows him to react to virtually any threat before it fully materializes. This sense is discriminating enough to give him some idea of the nature of the threat to him although in situations with multiple threats he requires a Reason feat in order to sort out the various threats and react accordingly. If this sense is somehow negated or shielded against in some fashion it will impose a 1CS penalty on attempts to react to threats outside the awareness of his other senses due to his general dependency on this power for threat-warning. While it doesn’t give him the ability to see behind him he does seem able to perceive to some degree what’s going on behind him (like counting the number of fingers someone holds up). This sense also won’t protect him from anyone he considers close enough to him to feel safe around as once he’s considered them safe his Danger Sense will ignore them.

Enhanced Senses (Hearing, Smell, Sight): Olympian possesses a Monstrous rank sense of Smell and Incredible rank Hearing and Sight, although due to this heightened sensitivity he suffers a 1CS penalty to resisting any attacks based on these senses. He can identify someone by scent alone with Monstrous ability.

Tracking: Olympian may track a target by scent with Monstrous ability.

Regeneration: Having this power at Remarkable rank Olympian recovers lost health 30 times faster than normal and may regenerate lost or damaged tissue although extreme trauma like decapitation is impossible to recover from without some form of outside help (rushed surgical work and life support to give the body time to repair the damage and finish reattaching the critical systems).

Recovery: Olympian recovers lost Endurance ranks far more quickly than a normal being, as such he makes all checks to recover ranks on the Unearthly column, doing a check every hour until fully recovered. Checks to halt Endurance rank losses are also made against this power’s rank of Unearthly.

Animal Empathy: Olympian may communicate with mammalian carnivores on a purely emotional level with Amazing ability. While this does not give him any control it does allow him to ‘persuade’ most animals to leave him alone or flee rather than attack him.

Berserker: Olympian can enter into a berserker warrior state on a red psyche feat, carrying the following bonuses and penalties: +1CS to Fighting and Strength; Unearthly Iron Will; immune to stun and kill results; will attack anyone, friend or foe, that attempts to stop him unless he makes a yellow or better psyche feat; and will remain dangerous to be around for 10d10 turns after the battle is over unless he passes a yellow psyche feat in order to end the berserker state early (and can only do so when combat is over and all threats nullified).

Invulnerability to Toxins, Disease, Aging: Due to his enhanced healing capacity Olympian enjoys CL1000 resistance to the listed attack forms and ages only one year for every one thousand that passes.

Indestructible Skeleton: Olympian’s skeleton has been reinforced with pure Adamantium, the hardest and most indestructible metal man currently knows how to manufacture (the shield of Captain America is more durable but its manufacture was a fluke and currently not a reproducible material). This CL1000 material renders his skeleton effectively unbreakable against anything less than cosmic level forces or powers and magics that specifically allow for the manipulation of such metal. Possession of this material throughout his skeleton provides several benefits, including granting a 1CS increase to damage from his strikes if he chooses and provides enhanced protection of his brain from attacks targeting his head (although won’t protect against brain damage from repeated strikes to the head due to the brain bouncing off that indestructible skull). While it won’t do anything to protect against the pain and damage that will result it also does allow him to block attacks without fear of his bones breaking, nor will it do him any good in situations where metal detectors are active (so forget about getting through an airport’s security scanner).

Natural Weaponry/Claws: Composed of the same indestructible metal as his skeleton Olympian has three CL1000 material strength True Adamantium claws that rest along the length of each arm and extend out across the backs of his hands. He may choose to extend any or all of them at will with but a thought. Their sharp edges combined with his strength allows him to inflict up to Unearthly edged damage on a single strike and ignore conventional armor (but not force fields) of up to Monstrous material strength.

Web-Shooters: Worn around each wrist Olympian has a matched pair of mechanical web-shooters that fire a stream of webbing that starts with Incredible material strength and hardens to Unearthly material strength on the following turn. This webbing is commonly used to restrain opponents, hold together damaged structures, or create temporary shields of Unearthly material strength. Due to its chemical composition it will break down and become harmless within an hour. The webbing is also non-conductive in its basic composition and adheres to targets with Monstrous ability.

Hyper-Invention: Unearthly enhancement to Reason to in order to comprehend, design, repair, and improve upon existing technology as well as develop new technologies as needed, and provides a bonus of a 2CS reduction to the Resource feat required to construct something before the feat roll is made.

Linguistics: Unearthly ability to translate any and all codes, languages, and other means of conveying or concealing information. He may learn to communicate in any language like a native provided he has some means of perceiving the language in question upon a successful power rank feat against the difficulty of the language in question. Once learned a language becomes permanently part of his capabilities and he may read, write, and speak it as fluently as any native.

HISTORY

Kelly Holt had always loved two things growing up, geology and tales of heroes. It didn't matter what kind of hero, modern or ancient he loved them all but sadly his small stature and ridicule when he tried to apply himself to fields where he could feel like a hero he was rejected time after time until he gave up trying and devoted himself to his other love geology.

Managing to excel in his other field he expanded his college courses into other areas where he might get to study more than just the geology of the earth and perhaps even earn some fame by being part of some famous discoveries or even being the one to make the discoveries himself if he proved diligent enough. It was during these studies that events came about that changed his life forever.

While on an archaeological dig in Egypt he discovered in the remains of an ancient tomb a gemstone that defied his ability to classify, indeed it didn't even seem to be a stone at all as he tried method after method to try and determine what it was while his superiors were kept in the dark. It was during this testing that the site came under attack by extremists who felt all such archaeological exploration was a desecration of ancient holy sites and sought to kill everyone on site.

Luckily while in the area doing photographs for the Daily Bugle Peter Parker managed to slip away to take on his heroic ID to defend the members of the site, as did Wolverine who had been tracking the same extremists after a similar assault killed a friend of his at a previous dig site. The battle was fierce as heavy weapons fire filled the area and panic ensued, and at the peak of the battle while Kelly was trying to slip away with the rest of the archaeologists he found himself sprayed with gunfire that sent him toppling to the ground, dying. Clutching at the strange gemstone he found he found himself fiercely wishing he could have been like the heroes, powerful and tough and able to fight back and with a warm pulsing in his hand he felt the world shifting around him as his body and mind were irrevocably changed by the dormant powers contained within the stone.

Suddenly flush with power and vitality, the stone totally forgotten and clad in a costume that was a strange mixture of that of the two heroes he realized his first dream could now be a reality as he joined the two in defeating the now totally outmatched extremists. Some confusion ensued given his appearance and powers but both heroes were traveled enough to not find it that unlikely an event (having seen weirder in their time), and after giving him some pointers went their way while he sought to find a place to conceal his costume and rejoin the others as himself.

With the destruction of the dig site (an often and sad result of extremism, destroying that which they profess to protect) the group returned to the states where Kelly found himself in the position to become what he'd always wanted to be, and deciding to take up the name Olympian for no particular reason other than it sounded impressive decided to dedicate himself to helping and saving others and with his newfound powers try and see if he could with some changes in his majors become a member of law-enforcement to better serve his community.

CONTACTS

Spider-man (H); Wolverine (H); Dr. Irwin Epstein (S) (Archaeologist, Excellent Reason); Wanda Holt (S) (Mother); Vance Holt (S) (Father); Larissa Holt (S) (younger sister);

ENEMIES

No serious enemies as of yet.

PERSONALITY

Kelly is quite giddy about his turn of events, and quite flush with the feeling of power and the ability to accomplish anything he desires that now fills him. The only thing helping to moderate him is the words spoken to him by Spider-man; that with great power comes great responsibility and that with the power he now had he had a responsibility to use it wisely. Well that and Wolverine's more blunt warning that if he turned out a villain he'd be back with claws extended; but both heroes offered support if he needed it in learning to use his powers or anything else he required to deal with his newfound status. Remembering their words he's taking them to heart and doing his best to learn how to be a responsible hero. That doesn't mean he doesn't mind the occasional opportunity to win a bar bet for who can drink the most or win an arm-wrestling contest however.

Glitter

Super-hero ID: Glitter
Name: Sharon Elayne Stone
Power Category-Induced Mutant
Source of Super-human Powers: Exposure to synthetic gemstone shards
Appearance: Sharon is a short and very lushly curved female with waist-length red hair who dresses most fashionably. Her costume is made up of a glittering gem-covered theme, with a crystal-encrusted mask all designed to distract and confuse her opponents.
Height: 5’ (6'” in Crystalline form)
Weight: 124lbs (478 lbs in Crystalline form)
Sex: Female
Hair: Red
Eyes: Green
Age: 22

Fighting: Excellent (20)
Agility: Remarkable (30)
Strength: Typical (6)/Amazing (50)
Endurance: Remarkable (30)/Monstrous (75)
Reason: Excellent (20)
Intuition: Excellent (20)
Psyche: Amazing (50)

Health: 86/175
Karma: 90
Resources: Incredible (40)
Popularity: S5/H15

POWERS

Crystallization: Amazing ability to convert existing matter into an Amazing material strength crystalline form, as well as generate large amounts of crystal (up to 50 cubic feet per turn) to serve a variety of effects. This crystal normally has a duration of 50 minutes from the time of creation, although on a red power feat she may create effectively permanent crystal that will last until she or someone else with an appropriate power chooses to dispel it, but this must be her intent at the time of creation. Power stunts include the following:
-Fire crystal missiles of Amazing material strength material inflicting up to Amazing blunt or edged damage depending upon the shape of the material, with a range of 20 areas.
-Create simple crystalline structures; such as barriers, support columns, cages, etc. of Amazing material strength. Given sufficient time she may increase the thickness to raise the effective material strength to Unearthly.
-Transform living creatures into crystal, either to restrain them or protect them from some existing danger (fire, vacuum, hostile super-villain, etc.), although for the duration they will be immobile and in a state of suspended animation. While it is possible with effort for her to permanently transform someone into crystal this will cost her all karma if she succeeds (if she later relents and restores the victim she gains no karma for correcting her error, although if the act was publicly known she may gain back some of the popularity lost once it’s revealed).
-Encase someone in crystal, trapping him or her in sufficient thickness of crystal to restrain him or her with Monstrous material strength crystal. Unless she knows a target doesn’t require air she will never knowingly encase the head or other breathing apparatus.
-Create crystal weapons and items (swords, daggers, maces, shields, chairs, etc.) as needed.
-Unleash a spray of crystalline shards to a range of 10 areas inflicting Remarkable edged damage to all those in the target area. This spray can be in a cone or an omni-directional blast, however she desires.
-On a red feat and access to suitable materials she may create any form of gemstone she desires, including rare or artificial crystals (like cavorite), although such intense effort limits the amount she may produce per turn to no more than one ounce at a time.

Body Transformation-Crystal: Glitter can transform herself into living crystal and retain that form even while asleep or unconscious, gaining a number of benefits in the process:
-Amazing protection from physical and energy attacks
-Invulnerability to Light-based attacks
-Does not require food, water, or air while transformed and may survive in the vacuum of space.
-Does not radiate heat in crystal form and does not show up on sensors that work by detecting heat or other signs of life. If immobile she appears to be nothing more than a large crystalline statue. Because she doesn’t tire in her crystal form she may hold herself immobile for hours on end with ease.
-If parts are broken off or she is shattered by an attack she may reassemble herself by drawing the broken pieces back together. Small amounts of damage may be easily repaired simply by picking up the pieces and holding them where they belong, while scattering her body over a large area will require 1d10 days or longer. During this period she naturally cannot revert to her organic form. Parts not reattached will slowly break down while her crystal form regenerates the missing material.
-Damage taken in her crystal form is taken off the ‘extra’ health provided first, meaning so long as she retains at least 100 health when she reverts to normal she will be completely uninjured in her organic form. The damage to her crystal form will remain however if she returns to Crystal Form, although recovers at an accelerated rate while she’s organic (10 health/turn and one endurance rank/minute).
-Her crystal form regenerates lost health at a rate of 1 health/minute while she remains in crystal form, and regains any lost Endurance ranks at a rate of 1 rank/hr.

Molding (Crystal): Unearthly ability to reshape crystal (whether naturally occurring or artificially created) into a variety of complex shapes, limited only by the nature of crystal and her passing a reason feat for the intended construct. This power combined with her gem cutting talent allows her to remake rough gems like diamonds and emeralds into exquisitely cut gems without the loss of material that normally occurs in the gem-cutting process. This also allows her to take smaller gems and merge them together to create a larger gem as well as fashion unique stones that could never occur in nature.

Crystal Sensing: Due to her affinity with crystals Glitter may detect any crystals whether natural or artificially created within one mile with Monstrous ability. On a green feat she may locate any crystal she’s familiar with (See Tracking Crystals Below), yellow for any she’s briefly encountered (walked by and looked around in a jewelry store), and red is required for a crystal she’s only able to access information on and not encountered personally (and better be very detailed information). She often uses this ability to locate someone she’s encountered previously by slipping a crystal onto them somewhere and using it similar to Spider-man with his Spider-tracers. She only requires a green reason feat (factoring in her +3CS bonus) to determine what a particular crystal is (blue diamond, ruby, star sapphire, etc.).

Floating Disc: Glitter can create a crystal disc capable of transporting herself and others, carrying up to Amazing loads at Amazing air speed in an atmosphere or space speed while in space. If she so chooses she may cover this disc in a protective transparent dome of crystal while she is at it.

TALENTS

Weapon Specialist-Crystal Weapons; Structural Engineering; Architecture; Gemology and Gem-cutting +3CS; Art (Crystal Sculptures); Art (Jewelry crafting); Business/Finance; Language-English, Japanese, French, German;

CONTACTS

Yvette Stone (Mother, S ); George Virgil Stone (Father, S ); Lloyd Wright Mason (Business Contact, S );

EQUIPMENT

Tracking Crystals: These Amazing material strength crystals appear to be expensive gemstones like diamonds, rubies, and emeralds. She often carries at least a dozen of these stones for the purposes of slipping onto suspects that either appear to be going to get away or to track someone who she chooses to let escape to track them back to a hideout or other location.

HISTORY

Sharon was a hard-working college student well into her bachelor's programs for both Architecture and structural Engineering when fate intervened and changed the direction of her life forever. A male friend, eager to impress her and perhaps manage to upgrade to more than friend, snuck her into the laboratory on campus where they worked on synthesizing new types of crystal that had never been seen before. In his eagerness to show some of the latest work he triggered an accident that resulted in her being sprayed with shards of synthetic crystal that peppered her skin and were inhaled into her lungs. With the unstable crystal permeating her body it triggered a mutagenic event, unleashing within her the power to not only transform into crystal but to create and manipulate it as well. As she learned to deal with these changes she quickly chose to devote herself to protecting her fellow man, using her new abilities as the super-heroine known as Glitter!

PERSONALITY

Generally laid back and personable in her secret ID, although quick to anger when dismissed or looked down upon due to her height or gender. She's far more flamboyant in her Glitter ID, intentionally playing up the stereotype of a fashion/appearance obsessed female to distract and better conceal her identity.

POWERS

True Invulnerability: Relentless’s cells generate a protective field that reduces all damaging effects that they are subjected to. This power is especially focused into his hands, feet, and head providing them with Unearthly protection from all damaging events causing all damage to be reduced by 10CS, the remainder of his body possesses far more modest protection at the Excellent level reducing damage by 5CS in general.

Hyper-Strength: Relentless possesses astounding strength in his hands, allowing him to grip or crush objects as if possessing Unearthly strength.

Enhanced Damage: Due to the super-tough nature of Relentless’s hands, head, and feet strikes with these body parts do an extra CS of damage in combat if he so desires, and when combined with his Weakness Detection power he may inflict up to Monstrous damage on a successful Weakness Detection check.

Weakness Detection: This uncanny ability allows Relentless to detect physical weaknesses in any target he studies with Amazing ability. If he fails the feat he may continue making it until successful (provided a detectable weakness is available to exploit). With this power he may bypass armor and other physical defenses if a vulnerability exists eliminating the protective nature of the defenses in regards to himself.

Regeneration: While not as impressive as others Relentless possesses Poor rank Regeneration, his tissues healing four times faster than an average human being due to their enhanced and energized nature and recovers all lost tissues over time.

Resistance to Vampirism, Power Manipulation, Mental, and Emotional attacks: Due to the peculiar nature of the energy permeating Relentless's every cell he possesses Unearthly protection from attempts to manipulate his powers as well as against all forms of vampirism. This energy also affects his mind providing similar protection from all forms of mental and emotional attack.

Self-Revival: Relentless’s will combined with his enhanced tissues and drive provides him with Unearthly rank self-revival, allowing him to revive from apparent death so long as roughly a quarter of his corpse is relatively intact or within the same area (closer is better). Minor damage resulting in death (gunshot wound to the head or heart ripped out) can be recovered from rapidly, needing only 1d10 minutes to replace/restore such damage.

Warren Granger had always been obsessed with mysteries and bringing what was hidden into the light especially dark secrets to see evil exposed and brought to justice from the earliest age. This fascination had driven him to excel in the field of investigative journalism, it had also led him to learn how to defend himself as his efforts had often left him in dangerous situations and beaten up more than a few times. Eventually this led to the situation that changed his life forever.

Rumors of questionable experiments being performed at an alternative energy research company resulted in him fabricating a fake identity in order to get hired as a janitor where he worked on establishing himself as a trusted employee while trying to learn what was truly going on. He'd eventually worked his way in to where he could sneak into the lab in order to study the computer records, unfortunately it was the same night Roxxon launched an attack using hired super-villains to destroy the company to eliminate a competitor in the energy field. Due to the damage from the rampaging super-villains the experiment on drawing energy from extra-dimensional sources activated and overloaded, exploding and filling the laboratory with the unfathomable energies where the only living person in the room was bathed in those energy.

When the dust settled Warren's body was now infused with strange energies that irrevocably changed his body and mind, although it was days before he realized the full measure of the changes, the earliest signs being having to learn to handle things without crushing them. Adapting to the results he recognized he could be able to do far more than he ever could before, he could actively fight the evil of the world while continuing to bring the dark secrets to light.

CONTACTS

Various low level Criminal and Professional Contacts as well as a good lawyer on retainer.

ENEMIES

Pretty much anyone he's investigating or has already exposed to the light of the world.

PERSONALITY

Warren is a hard hitting, investigative reporter yet puts great effort into being personable in order to be able to elicit the best results from people when interviewing them. His free time is rare, or more accurately his focus on learning secrets and exposing the truth has his idea of relaxation being reading and learning up on other things that can add to his skills.

TALENTS

Engineering; Electronics; Computers; Repair/Tinkering;

HISTORY

Jason Moore was an above-average student with a love of engineering who was certain he'd go far in life, unfortunately while he did well when it came to his education his personality was sufficiently off-putting and his ability to get along and work with others poor enough that he was unable to keep a job for very long. Eventually he found himself landing a job working in a police evidence holding facility where he found himself surrounded by the collected gear of a variety of super-villains and realized it was the perfect way to change his life around. He could simply study or steal choice pieces of super-villain equipment and make himself a power unlike those losers who clearly wasted what they had.

It took him years to slowly sort through and accumulate just the right stuff in his opinion to make his perfect villain suit (if only he'd put such effort into getting along with his co-workers and advancing inside the system he'd have been a millionaire many times over). Months more to fully assemble and test it out to be sure the systems were working correctly before embarking on his villainous career as the Steel Tyrant!

CONTACTS

Due to his personality and general contempt for others Jason currently has no contacts.

PERSONALITY

Jason is an underachiever who wasted his potential and now wants to lash out at the world that he feels denied him his just due, using his newfound power to destroy and take whatever he desires. He absolutely hates those that try to hold him accountable for his actions and will do his best to kill anyone who tries to stop him especially a super-hero.

POWERS

Tele-Mechanics: Upon a successful power feat this power will provide Steel Justice with a complete and permanent comprehensive understanding of any technological device that he's made physical contact with and consciously activated it on. This is a truly comprehensive understanding, as one will be capable of performing repairs, draw up blueprints, successfully make use of, and in all ways be proficient with the item in question. Provided sufficient materials the superhuman could even build a completely functional replica of the item. The power rank is compared to the Reason feat required to build the object in order to determine the color result required to succeed (although conventional Earth technologies shouldn’t have higher than an Amazing Reason rank requirement). One however requires additional talents or powers (Engineering, Electronics, Hyper-Invention, etc.) in order to actually understand and exploit this information for other purposes, such as upgrading the device in question or incorporating its technology in other items.

Hyper-Invention: Steel Justice enjoys a Remarkable increase to his Reason in regards to all technology-related Reason feats including the construction (which enjoys a 2CS reduction in the Resource cost for all Resource feats), repair, improvement, etc of anything technological.

EQUIPMENT

Steel Justice Power Armor: Developed primarily as a synthesis of Iron Man and Ant/Giant Man technology with some of his own flares and secondary sources thrown in the SJPA provides the following powers and abilities:

Body Armor: Constructed of Remarkable Material Strength Materials Steel Justice enjoys Remarkable protection from most Physical and Energy attacks, with Unearthly protection against Radiation and Electrical attacks.

Voice Distorter: Designed to disguise his voice it provides Monstrous protection from determining who he is based on his voice.

Firewall: The armor has Monstrous rank firewalls to protect against any and all attempts to hack and override the armor.

Computer Interface: The armor can interface with virtually any computer system with Amazing ability and allows for conventional internet access including streaming video (including audio) such as to stream what he's seeing to a safe external server for later review or providing to law enforcement.

Repulsors: These medium intensity plasma projectors can deal up to Remarkable damage to a range of 7 areas and due to advanced targeting systems gain a +2CS to hit.

Flight: Using anti-gravity technology copied from the Wingless Wizard Steel Justice may fly at up to Monstrous speeds and has no flight ceiling.

Energy Absorption: Advanced circuitry built into the armor allows it to absorb up to Unearthly electrical damage each round, with a maximum of up to 300 points of energy. Absorbing more than the maximum results in the in the storage pods overloading releasing a Monstrous intensity electrical attack to the surrounding area and Steel Justice as well. This excess energy can be routed into the Repulsors increasing their maximum damage to Monstrous until the excess energy is depleted. This system can be adjusted to absorb other forms of energy as well on a success Incredible Reason feat.

Energy Storage Pods: Appearing as a pair of frisbee-like disks, one on each hip, these pods store excess energy. Loss of these disks will reduce Strength and Endurance by 1CS. Loss of these pods will also reduce Repulsor damage to Good and range to 5 areas.

Shrinking (Atomic Shrinkage): Courtesy of the shrinking technology acquired from Hank Pym Steel Justice may shrink himself or others with Amazing ability and repeated steps of shrinking will allow entry into the Microverse. For every CS of Shrinkage the damage dealt to normal-sized objects drop by 1CS until the damage dealt becomes negligible.

Growth (Atomic Gain): Due to the growth technology acquired from Hank Pym Steel Justice may also enlarge himself or others with Amazing ability and a maximum height of 60'. For every 2CS of growth Steel Justice enjoys a 1CS reduction to incoming damage before his Body Armor comes into play, he also enjoys a 1CS increase in Strength to a maximum of Unearthly.

Wrist Launchers: Installed on the tops of both hands are specialized launchers capable of firing a variety of armament stored in the armored backpack-like structure on the back. Courtesy of the Pym particle technology it contains 10 uses of each of the following and may launch them up to 7 areas with a +2CS to hit courtesy of advanced targeting systems.

TALENTS

Engineering; Electronics; Computers; Repair/Tinkering; Pilot; Business/Finance;

HISTORY

Justin Rand was always bright for his age, quickly understanding the ins and outs of any device he got his hands on, something he quickly parlayed into a career after graduating college. Founding his own company he set about providing technological help to a variety of businesses whether it be designing entirely new systems for them or installing or repairing technology on site. What changed everything for him was when he gained one of the contracts for repairing and installing new security systems for Avengers Mansion after the latest super-villain attack left it a wreck. As a result of this he was able to gain access to some of the technology and data for several of the tech-using Avengers most importantly that of Iron Man, Hank Pym, and Hawkeye.

While he'd never really thought about it before being exposed to not just the technology but the heroes themselves (Thor and Captain America in particular were awe-inspiring) he found he wanted to do more in life, that his ambitions had been far too limited. He could be doing so much more for both himself and the world. He could take what he'd learned at Avengers Mansion and use it to become a hero himself, go to his absolute limits and beyond as Steel Justice!

CONTACTS

Rand Industries, Limited (personal company, S); Harold Bastion (Lawyer); Jack Peterson (Business/Finance, Incredible Resources, S);

ENEMIES

While not enemies per say he has an antagonistic relationship with Iron Man and Pym due to making use of their appropriated technology, he has a more conventional hero/villain relationship with both AIM and Roxxon who'd dearly love to get ahold of his technology.

PERSONALITY

Justin is a generally nice, friendly individual albeit focused on behaving in a professional manner when working and interacting with employees and other professionals. This carries over into his super-hero ID, speaking and acting in a professional manner and often sounding like a stereotypical super-hero (which is what he based his super-hero ID on). The more he personally sees of the dark side of humanity though the more it's beginning to drive him to commit more and more of himself to fight the evil in the world.

Thanks. Which ones and why? I've posted quite a few recently with my sudden desire to create and have some fun like I used to putting together concept characters for people to check out before the trolling got too disheartening.

Well this list is not all inclusive there were others I enjoyed as well:

Nightmask - reminds me of Akira for some odd reason and he is a raccoon.
Scavenger - a squirrel becoming a Sorcerer Supreme equivalent is unexpected also its a interesting write-up.
Athena - Fallen Heroes who end up being a villain are always tragic and possess character, even if it is low character or delusions.
Ragnarok - A great re-imagining.
Addiction - Vampiric powers leaped out at me because I have been working on a write-up myself for a Halloween adventure later this year.
Deadsiders - you just can't beat a good cult for a bad guy, all you need is a charismatic leader and the stats for plain humans from the rules.
Lance Strong - really focused power set.
Dragon Storm - just a great character making use of a strong theme.
Survivor - I have always been a sucker for evolution powers.

I don't see why anyone would want to troll you over it, I don't recall reading any posts like that in this thread, but I mostly focused on the character write-ups and the format and not the posts of other people. I have to admit to studying format styles of other posters as of late, I have been trying to design one for use so that I can fit an encounter / mini-adventure idea into the space of a character write up. I thought it would be enjoyable to have write-ups that featured a min-adventure to go along with them.

One world of adventure is never enough.

I also like the format of his character offerings because they are very detailed and offer a good deal of depth.

A high post count is indicative of little more than one having the time to post frequently.
It does not mean a person is more knowledgeable on any given topic than anyone else.

Nightmask was originally built way back when networked BBS RP was the thing, with your 2400 Baud modem and long-distance charges for it all, with most people since it was freeform having dragons and gods as their standard for play.

Scavenger was one of many thoughts of a character built using things that were otherwise canon to Marvel (like several of my most recent posts), plus I love doing the anthro characters.

Ragnarok was fun, I liked giving Red a boost like that since he's way under-utilized and could be successful if they just tried a little with him.

I can't remember what prompted me to develop Addiction, probably perusing the Ultimate Powers book for inspiration as I created a number of characters just to use otherwise uncommon powers or power categories and demonstrate that 'Heart Is An Awesome Power' rather than people thinking 'This is a job for Aquaman' or 'What kind of lame power is Heart anyway?'.

Deadsiders seemed like a good villain foil for Stealth, and lower powered heroes in general, I used the Hand for inspiration.

I wanted Lance (aka Power Up) to be one of those rarity heroes that was more helpful with the victims and hostages than directly opposing the threat, empowering those in need rather than directly taking out the problem. So I focused him around the power giving and detecting. His original write-up on the old forums he could also use one of those powers at a time but someone whined about it so I dropped it when I reposted him here.

Kind of funny for Dragonstorm since I took her name from the RPG created by an artist whose work I just love (and who sadly lost her husband a few years ago and simultaneously suffered permanent injuries from illness that left her with dementia and nearly blind), and given how epic the name was it just basically writes itself as a power-granting dragon spirit.

I've loved the powers like Survivor has too. Doomsday was great before they nerfed him, the original Supreme gained his power set due to similar powers (with him being killed multiple times by the scientists to coldly determine how powerful he could get), and in a similar vein how the Saiyans power up in the Dragonball series is cool. Would be great to run a character like that sometime but alas whiny people seem terrified of it, thinking that anyone with a character like that would be intentionally getting killed just to get more powerful and overshadow the others.

Most of the trolling is on the older forums (and much of the rest has been in the discussion forum rather than this forum), it can burn out even the toughest skinned in time. Generally they'd whine about the ranks and completely ignore what the ranks were in or that the character theme-wise should have such ranks (like Starfox, since she's similar to a Herald of Galactus). Nearly all the characters are proof-of-concept characters I've posted just to get feedback or help inspire people, I never expected or planned on running them in any games (and some I realize in retrospect are flops in some fashion, which is why some never got reposted in the new site) yet you'd think from the reactions I'd tried and submit someone like Starfox to be in someone's non-powered heroes game (something that's never occurred). I'm glad you've found them enjoyable and hope they've helped you out somehow.

Thanks, I really try and provide as much detail and depth as possible so the characters look and feel three-dimensional, particularly covering things that would make for story hooks and give a feel for how they'd act as heroes (or villains).

Halo Character Sheet

Halo

Super-hero ID: Halo
Name: Jennifer Jones
Power Category-Normal Human?
Source of Super-human Powers: Mysterious glowing halo
Appearance: Jennifer is an above-average height Caucasian female with waist-length auburn hair with a modest bustline and a figure that appears representative of a fairly active and athletic person. Her preferences are for dressing modest yet fashionable in her civilian ID. In her super-hero ID her outfit is similar in fashion to that of She-Ra (perhaps due to reflecting her childhood enjoyment of the show), although instead of the tiara she has the halo prominently floating over her head.
Height: 5' 8”
Weight: 164 lbs
Hair: Auburn
Sex: Female
Age: 25

Fighting: Remarkable (30)
Agility: Remarkable (30)
Strength: Good (10)
Endurance: Remarkable (30)
Reason: Excellent (20)
Intuition: Amazing (50)
Psyche: Amazing (50)

Health: 100
Karma: 120
Resources: Excellent (20)
Popularity: S20/H30

POWERS

Jennifer appears to have no known super-powers, but the source of the halo is unknown, it may be a manifestation of some power within her or it may be an external object that bonded to her.

EQUIPMENT

Halo: Seemingly constructed of pure magical or psionic energy this one-inch wide and eight-inches in diameter silvery ring has no material existence and cannot be touched by anyone other than its owner. It hovers at all times when not in use two inches above its owner’s head and shines with a soft silvery glow. It does not register on conventional technology, only technology capable of registering magical or psionic energy is capable of detecting and perceiving it, otherwise only living beings may see it. The halo provides its wearer with the following benefits and abilities:
-Halo is far more resilient and resistant to harm, as such all attacks no matter the source are reduced 3CS in rank and effect when directed against her.
-Recovers lost health and Endurance ranks as if possessing a Monstrous Endurance and may regenerate any and all damage so long as an attack is not instantly fatal. This is continuously active even if the halo is otherwise inactive.
-Deals Remarkable Force or Energy damage as desired when thrown, with a range of up to 7 areas and ignores conventional body armor, only magical or psionic protection can reduce or negate the damage it inflicts. Instead of dealing damage it may instead inflict a Remarkable intensity stunning attack.
-Due to its special properties Halo may throw the halo so as to strike up to 4 different targets in a round, dealing whichever type of damage she desires per target, and reappears above her head at the end of the round after striking or missing the fourth target. This maneuver requires a Yellow Agility feat to succeed, with a 2CS bonus.
-While the halo is active it makes people unable to associate Jennifer with Halo with Amazing ability, causing them to dismiss anything that they find in common as being simply a coincidence or a mistaken assumption on their part. This even affects methods of recording her appearance making her look at best simply similar to her secret ID to anyone who sees recordings of her in her Hero ID.
-May instantly change between her civilian and super-heroine guise.

TALENTS

Weapon Specialist-Halo; Marksman; Guns; Languages (English, German, Japanese, Chinese, Korean); Calligraphy; History (Japan);

HISTORY

Born to Walter and Beverly (Brewster) Jones the young Jennifer Jones saw much of the world growing up with military parents that required moving frequently, as a result she grew up with a love of number of countries and became fluent in a number of languages in order to fit in. After growing up she decided to make good use of her upbringing and became a translator for whoever needed it, often getting employed by the UN and a number of large corporations as she proved herself exceptionally accurate and dependable in the quality of her work. It was during things quite unrelated to her career though that changed her life forever.

The opportunity to enjoy a short vacation having come around Jennifer decided to travel to Japan to immerse herself into the culture once again, to both relax and practice her conversational and formal Japanese as well as keep up with any recent changes in local culture and customs. She'd been on her way to visit a local shrine when her memory went blank, a few spotty disjointed images being all she had for the 2 days she lost. Well that and the mysterious halo glowing over her head that seemed to make it where people didn't recognize her and the outfit that came with it. Only when she thought about it going away did people recognize her again along with her finding herself back in her original clothing.

Unable to piece together what had happened on her own she settled on hiring a local detective to try and track down everything he could about her missing time instead and returned to the states where she tried to work out what was up with what she did know about from that time regarding the halo and costume that came with it that she now had to deal with. Working out what she could about it she soon decided to join the legions of supers protecting the people at large, taking a name for herself indicative of her most obvious attribute: Halo!

CONTACTS

Detective/Espionage (S) (only available in Japan); Business/Finance (S);

ENEMIES

Being new to the scene Halo hasn't made any significant enemies as yet but that will soon change.

PERSONALITY

Jennifer is something of a social chameleon, her time spent traveling the world as a child and as an adult has left her having had to learn how to switch swiftly from the various ways of behaving whether it be the extreme social politeness of Japan to the fairly boisterous bluntness (especially in comparison) behavior of the average American. In her hero form her personality is one of endless confidence and polite but firm resolve, always doing her best to be respectful even to the rudest of souls (although she's not above a bit of snark or subtle insult given the opportunity).

Does Jennifer briefly lose the protection of the Halo when she throws it as a weapon?

No they're still active, just like Classic Thor didn't lose any of his benefits from throwing Mjolnir for the brief time it was out of his hands.

So... some time limit if she's separated from it too long? Like if an enemy tried to stop it with a force field or some kind of temporal stasis?

I kept the nature of it on the deliberately fuzzy side, I left it up to an individual GM to decide if it actually was an object or a manifestation of a power she has (therefor trying to trap the halo would be meaningless). So I haven't really decided even on my end what it is definitively. If I did have to set it in concrete I'd lean towards it actually being a manifestation of a power she has, although she might have to undergo an epiphany to realize the power is inside of her rather than an external object. Which would then bring an Anime/Manga style power up as she unlocked her true potential.

Illuminator

Super-hero ID: Illuminator
Name: Alicia Patterson
Power Category-Induced Mutant
Source of Super-human Powers: Exposure to the light daggers of Dagger resulting in her subsequent mutation and linking to the Lightforce Dimension.
Appearance: Alicia dresses much as you'd expect a paramedic to dress, clothing that looks professional when on the job and casual attire that won't hinder her if an emergency comes up when off the job. Her super-hero costume is a gleaming white full-body covering with a blazing yellow light on the chest as she feels no need for anything more elaborate.
Height: 5’ 7”
Weight: 158 Lbs.
Hair: Blond (formerly Brown)
Eyes: Blue (formerly Green)
Sex: Female
Age: 27

Note: The physical changes in her hair and eye coloration are dismissed by people as simply dyeing her hair and wearing colored contacts, at least for those who knew her prior to her transformation.

Fighting: Excellent (20)
Agility: Amazing (50)
Strength: Excellent (20)
Endurance: Amazing (50)
Reason: Excellent (20)
Intuition: Remarkable (30)
Psyche: Amazing (50)

Health: 140
Karma: 100
Resources: Typical (6)
Popularity: S10/H25

Note: Illuminator's FASE is augmented by her connection to the Lightforce dimension as such if her powers are negated either temporarily or permanently or her link severed her Fighting and Strength drop to Typical and her Agility and Endurance drop to Excellent, with her health dropping to 52.

POWERS

Lightforce Manipulation: In the dimensions that exist to balance the cosmic design of nature there exists the Lightforce Dimension, a realm of light that exists in counterbalance to the light-consuming nature of the Darkforce dimension. Due to their connection to this extradimensional realm Illuminator has access to the following natural powers and the following power stunts (more power stunts may be possible over time) at Amazing power rank:
-Illuminator is naturally immune to all light-based attacks and conditions, as such she cannot be blinded by any level or intensity of light nor harmed by any attacks that use light to transmit them.
-Due to the connection to the Lightforce Dimension Alicia does not tire, ever, as she is sustained by the endless energy pouring into her. She does however still need to eat, sleep, and drink as this connection does not eliminate (at least not currently) all her physical needs.
-Illuminator may naturally generate any intensity or wavelength of light with power rank range and strength. Due to the nature of light generated in this fashion it deals an extra 1CS of damage to creatures like vampires that have a mystical or similar vulnerability to light.
-Unleash light blasts capable of doing Energy or Force damage of up to Amazing damage and with Power Rank range.
-Similar to Darkforce Manipulation the character is able to generate solid light constructs of Amazing material strength and may create functional devices upon a successful Reason feat against the intensity required for the device desired.
-Flight at Amazing speed by manipulating and riding currents of light while in an atmosphere, can reach CL3000 speeds in space.
-Open gateways into the Lightforce Dimension allowing for instantaneously travel across space and into any dimensions bordering upon the Lightforce Dimension, although due to the blinding light of this realm one requires some kind of protection against light or risk permanent blindness. Primarily used for teleporting around in her own dimension Illuminator has pinpoint accuracy anywhere on Earth, beyond that however she requires some familiarity (such as being there before) with other locations like the Moon or the Kree Homeworld before she can gate to them. Teleporting in this fashion releases a brief, blinding flash of light that requires either an Endurance feat against Amazing intensity to avoid being temporarily blinded for 1d10 rounds.
-Create Solid light weapons, inflicting up to Amazing edged or blunt damage, depending upon the weapon.
-Fashion Amazing material strength barriers, cages, walls, etc.
-Body Armor (light): Sheathe herself in armor of solid light, providing Amazing protection against physical and energy attacks.
-Create transport spheres capable of carrying 50 tons in flight. These spheres are of Amazing material strength and provide Amazing protection to all passengers inside.
-Similar to Dagger Illuminator may create concentrated 'daggers' of light that can pass through up to Remarkable Body Armor, if the target fails an Endurance feat against Amazing intensity the target will be stunned for 1-100 rounds and suffer a 3CS penalty for 3 days on all feats, success will only see a 1CS penalty for 1 round. These daggers will purge the target of any foreign substances (like heroin or arsenic) without inducing the physiological effects of going cold turkey (although will do little for the psychological beyond providing the target with the opportunity to experience being drug free once again and give them the chance to remain clean). This will not remove any long-term mutations or alterations (such as seen with Spider-man or the Hulk). Individuals possessing negative popularity may find themselves 'repenting' and seeking to turn their lives around upon failing an Amazing intensity Psyche feat, resulting in a reduction of their karma to 0 while they seek to turn their lives around. Some individuals (GM's discretion) are automatically immune to this effect and need not make a check.

TALENTS

Weapon Specialist-Solid Light Weapons; Art (Solid Light Sculptures); Art (painting); Paramedic; Pharmacology; Criminology;

EQUIPMENT

Alicia rarely travels anywhere without her paramedic gear in case of an emergency.

HISTORY

Alicia had a fairly normal childhood growing up, one that left her with an interest medicine particularly emergency medical treatment after a classmate nearly died in an accident but was saved through the valiant efforts of the responding medical personnel. While excelling in the EMT programs and her studies living the lifestyle soon brought sufficient stress and burdens (particularly due to those she couldn't save) that she became addicted to drugs in order to cope. She struggled with her addiction for years, coming close to being discovered and fired with growing frequency over that time before fate intervened and changed things around for her.

Having been forced to resort to drug dealers in order to get her fix as it was simply too difficult to steal drugs from work being around other addicts casually getting high had tempted her into more and more frequently getting high in the various drug dens she frequented. Unfortunately this led to the overdose that nearly ended her life but for the fortuitous encounter with Cloak and Dagger who had targeted that drug den in their crusade against the drug trade. As was her common thing to do Dagger sought to use her living light in order to purge the addicts and save them before it was too late while Cloak teleported them a safe distance away while Dagger's light protected the addicts. Something about Alicia was different though, whatever it was those events changed her forever, remaking her body into a living conduit to the Lightforce Dimension, purging her of her addiction and reaffirming her connection to the altruistic goals she'd had in life before her inability to handle events led to her slow fall. Filled with this light and bursting with energy she dedicated herself to helping all people everywhere, choosing to be a beacon of light in the darkness she took up a name to reflect her new devotion to life and helping others see how to escape the darkness as the Illuminator!

CONTACTS

Alicia has a number of low-level criminal contacts from her drug addicted days as well as with criminals she's helped save through her skills as a paramedic. She also has Cloak and Dagger as allies.

ENEMIES

While Illuminator has yet to make enemies of any super-villains (sure to happen soon given where she lives) she has some enemies in the drug trade since she's tireless in her efforts to bring about its end.

PERSONALITY

Alicia is a friendly, outgoing, and exceptionally kindhearted individual who spends much of her time tirelessly helping others. Her near-death experience and transformation has purged her of the darkness that had once taken hold over her and she manages to remain optimistic in the face of the worst of events, having learned that letting them tear her down did no one any good and she simply cannot bring herself to fall into that trap anymore, to sacrifice those who she could help because of those she couldn't. She is also an example of the Good Is Not Soft trope as she is driven to battle the darkness and however much she'd like to save everyone she knows that she can't and can be ruthless with those who're willingly devoted to evil and harming others. Against them she soon puts an end to their belief that good is weak.

Geo-Force: Avatar possesses Unearthly control over the geological structure of the Earth, allowing it to manipulate various geological phenomena whether to stop or reduce the problems from an Earthquake or unleash a volcano against an opponent without harming the surroundings. It is capable of doing so anywhere on the planet but prefers to only manipulate things within its immediate surroundings unless absolutely necessary.

Weather Control: Just as it may manipulate the Earth Avatar has control over the weather with Unearthly ability and truly global range. Power stunts include the following:
-Unleash devastatingly powerful (Unearthly level) lightning attacks to everything inside a single area.

Environmental Awareness: Avatar is acutely aware of everything related to the Earth's environment at the Unearthly level of sensitivity, allowing it to determine to the minutest level possible anything about the environment it desires anywhere on the planet.

Micro-Environment: Avatar constantly generates a protective barrier around it to screen it from harmful effects, granting it Unearthly protection from all physical and energy attacks. It may expand the barrier to provide protection over as much as a 10 area radius centerd upon it.

True Flight: Avatar moves about by its own will, able to hover indefinitely or move at up to Shift X Air speeds instantly as its powers render it immune to the problems of traveling at high speeds in an atmosphere.

WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS

While damage to Avatar does not carry over to its components usually, a successful Kill result will force it to make a Red Endurance feat to avoid being forcibly returned to its components which will then require the five that make up its existence having to make Endurance feats as well to avoid being reduced to Zero health and subjected to the rules for dying. Otherwise whatever happens to Avatar does not carry over to its individual components and vice versa.

TALENTS

Avatar possesses all the talents of its individual components (although cannot make use of any talents dependent on a human body to perform).

HISTORY

Avatar was brought into existence when the individual members of the Guardian Force discovered in a desperate moment that they could combine into one incredibly powerful being.

CONTACTS

Avatar can expect the help of anyone that values the earth and the life upon it to come to its aid.

ENEMIES

Those that harm the earth and all that lives upon it.

PERSONALITY

Avatar acts with a relentless will to better the Earth and all its creatures, its boundless compassion tempered by an implacable will to overcome all threats to all it cares for.

POWERS

Kinetic Control: Kinetix has Remarkable rank control over Kinetic Energy, as a result he's developed the following power stunts:

-Reflection: Kinetix can set up a protective field around his location capable of diverting physical attacks such as bullets and thrown weapons with Remarkable ability, even potentially reflecting them back on the attacker on a successful Red Feat.

-Resistance to Physical Attacks: Due to his ability to manipulate kinetic energy Kinetix possesses Remarkable protection from physical attacks based on kinetic energy (i.e. punches, kicks, bullets, etc ). Kinetix primarily uses this to blunt the damage from extremely powerful kinetic attacks, those that deal more damage than he can safely absorb for self-healing and sustenance.

-Hyper-Strength: By increasing the kinetic energy in his punches and other hand-held or thrown weapons Kinetix can inflict Remarkable damage.

-Sound Manipulation: By generating a field to dampen kinetic energy in his area Kinetix can muffle the sounds in his area, making sounds up to the Remarkable level undetectable and damping down louder sounds and vibrations by power rank levels.

-Hyper-Leaping: By increasing his kinetic energy when leaping Kinetic can leap with Remarkable ability.

-Disruption: By creating resonant fields inside an object by manipulating the kinetic energy of its molecules Kinetix can cause objects to dissipate with Remarkable ability.

Kinetic Bolt: Kinetix can fire bolts of kinetic energy inflicting up to Remarkable damage to power rank range.

Absorption Power (Kinetic Energy): Kinetix can absorb kinetic energy and convert it into health with Remarkable ability. This healing is far more efficient and advantageous over standard healing as the absorbed energy will ensure that even in the case of things as crushed bones, torn organs, and similar are all properly restored to their original places as if never having been injured provided enough kinetic energy is supplied to counter all the health loss involved. Even partial healing this way is far better than having to heal the normal way the entire time.

EQUIPMENT

Body Armor: Kinetix's costume is capable of providing Good protection from most physical attacks and Remarkable from most energy.

TALENTS

Languages-English, German, French, Russian; Pilot; Aviation Engineering; Repair/Tinkering; Wilderness Survival;

HISTORY

Richard Windslow Jr is the son of Alice Windslow and Richard Windslow Sr, a successful lawyer and aviation pilot respectively. Growing up fascinated by his father's field and ability to travel the world (especially with the opportunities growing up to travel himself courtesy of the family breaks employees had access to) grew up learning everything he could about aviation, including building his own single prop planes and other forms of aircraft before becoming a commercial pilot himself. It was during one of his personal flights that life changed for him forever.

Looking to visit Alaska for a short fishing vacation Richard was enjoying taking his plane up towards the limits of its flight ceiling and back down, practicing stunts he probably shouldn't have when during the peak of one of his high-altitude runs his plane was struck by a freak stream of highly energetic particles from an unusually active Aurora Borealis. All electrical systems on the plane were instantly destroyed from the power surge and the plane began to plummet towards the Alaskan wilderness, but where the plane was destroyed and heading for a crash-landing things were far different with Richard. Receptive DNA broke down and reassembled in ways it never had before, remaking the man in ways that granted him abilities he'd have never dreamed of. These changes proved important in his surviving as the plane slammed into the ground, the violent battering healing rather than harming as his body drank up the kinetic energy for its first time and saw him through the crash unharmed.

Rescued after a week having to survive on his own, with only the emergency supplies that survived the crash, Richard had had time to come to terms with his new-found powers as they helped him survive in the harsh wilderness. It was while he was being pursued by a publicist looking to cash in on his quick fame that he also met a survivor of a violent killer who'd killed her entire family and wanted to tell her story, hitting him with the harsh reality of the world and how there simply weren't enough good people around helping others and stopping crimes before it was too late. He had the power now to do something about it, become one more on the front line against crime as the heroic Kinetix!

CONTACTS

Alice Windslow (Peterson), Mother/Lawyer (S); Richard Windslow, Sr., Father/Pilot (S); Jennifer Warren/Publicist (S);

ENEMIES

Kinetix is sufficiently new enough to the crime-fighting field that he's developed no significant enemies as of yet.

PERSONALITY

Richard is a friendly, personable individual who's not afraid of having a good time but is extreme strict when it comes to situations that require it. Therefor while he may engage in a measure of risky behavior when it can only harm him (his stretching his piloting skills) he'll never engage in such behavior when it could negatively impact others (so never drives recklessly or engages in horseplay). When he's engaging in heroics he is as professional as can be, always thinking about the people he's trying to protect and how to end things as quickly as possible with the least amount of injury possible (although on occasion will worry less about dealing injury to someone engaged in a violent crime like rape).
