If the Montesi Formula wiped out all Bio-vampires, how was Morbius spared; or Bloodscream for that matter? Was anyone else, and if so, why?
1. Morbius was not a true vampire and thus, was immune to the Montesi Formula.
2. Bloodscream is probably not a true vampire as he gained his powers via a magic spell cast by Dagoo.

Bloodbath 3.
DC is cutting more staff.
Their published comics lines are down to 34 from over 100 comics per month.
Current industry rumors are saying that DC will cut from 34 to only 12 comics per month before the end of the year.
Brick and mortar shops are now refusing to even carry DC Comics or stock them on their racks.
I cannot post the links because the CMF code is mangled.

For those of you who are not aware, Heavy Metal Magazine has returned from the grave for their third incarnation.
This time they are launching their own brand of comics.
Most interesting of their comics line up is, of course, Taarna, The Last Taarakian, now available for pre-order at a reasonable price and with great artwork, unlike Marvel and DC with their BS.

Good points, both, but I'm just comparing what for Marvel is base intelligence and trying to determine just how much power creep has occurred. Granted, with talents some of the characters can punch way above their weight class, and others like Doom can pull off some truly terrifying technological terrors. Everything starts with their Reason, though. The rest are just column shif

There is also The Incredible Hulk #378, wherein Joe Fixit takes on the Rhino dressed as a mall Santa Claus. During their battle, the Rhino finally manages to pierce the Hulk's hide with his horn and while standing victorious, a young girl happens onto the battle scene where she starts asking Santa about why he is hurting the "grey man". The Rhino and the Hulk end up teaming up and portraying mall

You must also take into account that official TSR statistics were written from 1984-1993. There has been a lot of continuity, power creep and gradual progression over the decades.

Seems it didn't take long at all for Marvel to follow DC into oblivion. I'm sure the MCU will commence onwards without the pandering dinosaur Marvel Comics has become.
Unfortunately, the link isn't cooperating, seems the code for CMF has been mangled. Big surprise there.
Anyway, Marvel is cancelling quite a few series, Including: Star Wars, Morbius, MIA, Daily Bugle, Dr. Strange, Silver Surfer

Nah, Marvel made a ton of money on the MCU movies.
Did Marvel make a lot of money on those movies or did Disney make money on those movies? Even if Marvel is doing better than DC, I suspect they are having similar problems since Disney has more than a few layoffs of their own. And if Disney is making good money on their Marvel movies it's more despite Disney and t

I for one am not sad at all.
After 80 years of suing artists/writers to steal their intellectual properties and abysmal work for hire contracts that kept their employees at poverty wages, it looks like DC is about to reap what they have so

In general the the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been very good overall. Sure there is a disappointment ( Daredevil ) or two, but it's usually a movie on a minor character.
Doom is not a minor character, he's a flagship villain. So what can't Fox or MCU get him right?
Never found the right actor?
Put him in a lousy script?

Karma most definitely is a mechanic designed to reward a particular code of behavior. The ideal behind it most definitely is to give players a chance for their heroes to stand up to lethal attacks which are in and of themselves, a trademark of the lawless, thus the concept of vigilante once again.
What's more, the rules plainly state that character advancement is a

I believe you are referring to these two passages:
from page 13
QuoteOnly good guys (the player characters) get to spend Karma freely on any die roll they want. Characters controlled by the Judge (including other heroes, supporting players, and villains) can only spend a maximum of 20 points on any Karma roll. Even then, they will normally only spend Karma to save their lives.

Sorry Necromancer, but I have to disagree with you a bit here.
Karma is not ".. a mechanic designed to give heroes who operate under a code of conduct an edge as opposed to vigilantes and super villains". Rather, it is the reward system for the game, and a spendable one at that.
It's spelled out pretty well in the Adv Player's Book.
Karma should be rewarded:

Hyper Speed (P5, p.78, Ultimate Powers Book) seems to include more than just running or locomotion (which seems like it would just be Hyper-Running, T10) so I'm curious how folks rule it. Like, Power Rank in speed when running? Hyper-Running includes some options for buffing Fighting and Agility by the original Power Rank - would you consider doing the same for Hyper Speed or is it alr

I'm working on doing write-ups for various characters from the Vertigo comic Preacher and currently in the midst of Jesse Custer. I know there are some differences between the comic version and the TV version of the character. I'm leaning more towards the comic version for obvious reasons.

Karma value/rewards are stingy if you follow the rule books. Highest Primary stat or highest power rank is the Karma reward? It is no wonder players never have Karma outside their Judges handing out small gifts of Karma like Halloween candy now and then.
What system or formula do people use to value reward? A villain like Dr. Doom, IMO, should have much more Karma value then so

The ideal of critical failures applying to a range is exceedingly harsh in MSH RPG. It guarantees that half of a low ranked individuals failures will be catastrophic failures instead of just a failure and implies that even god like beings suffer from catastrophic failures which they most likely shouldn't.
I toyed with this ideal for a while and the best solution I could come up with was to limit

This may seem like a daft question, but exactly how big is an Area in yards/feet? Looking through the rules, it seems to be rather flexible depending on whether one is indoors or outdoors. Even the outdoor maps seem to show inconsistency in Area size. I think I noted somewhere a figure of 44 yards, which seems awfully large for an indoor setting. The outdoor standard perh
