I wasn't sure if any of youse guys and gals had seen this series.
I did, I pointed out to TAG the other day on Face Book that one of the videos opened with a printed version of his Judges Screen.

I let my first DnD group implode because I was paying for all the gaming materials, core books, character sheets and always forced to DM. I really got sick of an entire group of dead beat players that even expected me to always provide them their own character sheets, pencils and even dice. I'll never make that mistake again. It's bad enough to get saddled with a group of players who never wan

I remember an age where there was only one crossover per year. Now Marvel just rolls from one crossover right into the next crossover until it reaches the point that the MU has to have a reboot due to continuity errors and talentless writers.
Disney has some FAT pockets to be keeping these guys afloat, especially if you look at just how abysmal there monthly sales are on issues. Jim Shooter

Hello, so, I've been running a game where I had the idea to have people help me run the villains in my MSHRPG campaign. Though the gangs that they ran were wiped out, one of the villains through a convoluted plotline became a magic user. Now, being a competent and high-level mage, they are interested in summoning creatures. Which, led me to do some research, but it turned up little.

Again Charisma is a redundant statistic, Players already possess Popularity and Role Playing. I never met anyone who ever needed a dice roll to see if they randomly like a person, personally, I think that is a mechanic that would eventually cause personality flaws and quirks in a PC or NPC as sooner or later the dice would indicate a result that goes against the ch

I have a LOT of RPG systems under my belt. MSHRPG and Chaosium's Basic Role Playing system may be the two greatest systems I've ever seen.
I've never encountered a RPG rule set that didn't have some kind of issues under the hood. Even the all powerful popularity of Dungeons and Dragons I often have to contribute to its brand recognition as opposed to its rules design.
FASERIP is great, it's

Are there any mechanics for combinations? For example, if I roll two of those powers how do I combine for the described effect or can I just keep them separate with their base effect?
I suppose the "mechanics" would re

Hi all,
Couple of quick, simple questions:
1) How compatible are the Basic supplements with the Advanced game?
2) Were the Gamers Guides to the Marvel Universe supplements for the Basic or Advanced game?
Thanks!
They are 100% compatible, the Advanced Game expands the available choices. The Gamer's Guides? I assume you mean the Gamer's Handbooks, they were designed with the

A web version of Ultimate Powers Book. Not 100% on what or if there are any home brewed powers in it, but I’m thinking there are not.
I'm thinking there are A LOT of home brewed powers in it. I checked when I gathered up every power I could for the revised UPB.

Greetings, all!
I'm always tinkering with running the Nightmares of Future Past module(s) but I'm always at a loss to how to handle the day-to-day survival stuff. Finding food, warmth, etc. while living in the wild is considerably more difficult than, say, dumpster-diving (which brings its own challenges, to be sure). I'm curious - what do you do to emulate simply meeting the bare ne

Have you tried of them in play? Which ones and how did they work out?
I think the most used house rules I know of are the various rules for Edged Weapons and damage, of which there are several options. They all work fairly well, the biggest issue is finding which suits your game the best.

I just restored my forum, The Dark Forum, from a back up and started reading through some of the PbP games I ran on there...good times!
I'm looking at starting a new Labyrinth Lord game! (no, not a Marvel game, sorry)
If you're unfamiliar with Labyrinth Lord, it's a retroclone of D&D. This game will be using the Advanced Edition companion meaning

Storm Watch Campaign:
I am looking to for players to join my great experimental on-line marvel campaign that will use a wiki as the medium through which the game will be run.
Within the wiki will feature a page dedicated to the campaign - which will have links to episode and scenes and turns. So for example: SW E1 S1 T1 will be the page for Storm Watch Campaign Episode 1, Scene 1, Turn

The Necromancer has been reborn to face new adventures in the year 2099.
Revision of an original character for a fresh start in a new campaign. Tools used to make this PDF: CorelDRAWx8, Corel Paint Shop Photo Prox8 and Icon v1.71 to create the 3D character images. As always leave a comment!...don't be shy.

I'm wondering if anyone can help me with a template for when a Marvel character is turned into a zombie (ala Marvel Zombies). What do you think the pros and cons would be in becoming a zombie? Increased strength? Decreased agility? Would there be some characters that could resist the infection and if so, how?
Lucky for you I now where you can find such a thing. See Major Tom Saw

I made a video here, about the ways I think Thanos can be killed, thoughts?
I believe the only way any Eternal can ever be "killed" is if you disintegrate them and scatter their atoms and molecules so that they cannot reform. It's the only method I ever encountered in the comics where an Eternal would face a final death. This applies to all Eternals, not just Thanos of Ti

Uploaded a corrected revision to the Unofficial Canon Group.
Corrected the many remaining typos.
Corrected the Power Codes numbering (which were mis-numbered in two Power Categories.)
The only known flaw left is that Precognition and Postcognition are out of alphabetical order and should be switched around. To do that would require reformatting everything from that section onwards so I decide

Obviously just an artist's illustration in no way indicative of current Marvel otherwise we'd have Jane Foster and X-23 there instead.
An artist's interpretation of the two What If? stories centered on Conan's encounters with The Mighty Thor and Wolverine respectively? Both of those were awesome past comics.

I suppose in situations like that you can either (a) use your popularity rating to see how well or how poorly the person feels about your character, or (b) make a contested Psyche roll to see if the person cracks under pressure.
Yah, Popularity is a often forgotten Ability score it seems.
