Aside from the old arguement that Point Buy character creation does not create equally balanced characters (it doesn't, it only gives players equal opportunity), there are some problems with this method of character creation.
First off, there is no power rank for some powers. Water breathing and Immortality, for example. So what is their point value? Do you assign an arbitrar

Another thought occurs to me, and that's intentionally unbalanced characters: for example, the glass cannon.
Let's say the judge is trying to build a street level game and generously gives everyone 350 points to build with on a point for point basis for abilities, powers cost 10+ rank value, (double slot powers costing double the rank value), and talents cost 10 for combat &

The description for Self Revival in the UPB states that it includes Free Spirit, would that mean that he could lead a character who can see spirits, ghosts etc to where his body is "buried" at sea?
My guess is that Self Revival offers a limited form of the power that is only enough to keep the spirit intact.

Those are all great ones. Armless Tiger Man is a great one. I recently used Professor Donaire. I have to admit, I don't know The Ringer or Captain Barracuda.
Captain Barracuda disappeared ages ago it seems. When Scourge shot him down in the bar with no name. I don't think he ever got a resurrection.

Maybe it's just me, but I wnd up using a lot of obscure characters in my games. So, what about you all? Who is your most frequent obscure villain?
Mine is Buffalo and Sea Leopard. Sea Leopard being more popular by a bit, but still not well-known. I'm sure my players think that Sea Leopard was some major Marvel character at this point, as many of them aren't too familiar with the co

I have been thinking recently that it makes a lot of sense to keep classic stats within the established parameters (like the Things Monstrous strength) but simply increase the specific number within that range. Hi, all. I'm actually an old member who's recently returned after a long hiatus. For any of you who use The Big Book of Characters, I'm the guy (SolidSnake77 I believe) who submitted the write-up for Odin (some...15 years ago?) that was included in that source book. I just recently discovered this after downloading it so my thanks to Nemesis for the nod.

I'm preparing a French version of the 4C System, the earlier "retroclone" of the FASERIP system.
Almost the same as the original English version, except I'm adding a few houserules, characters, advice and short adventures.
The print version will be available on lulu, probably in June 2018 :
Latest WIP version has been published 10 days ago, by the way, if someone wants to have a

I have some character drawings I'd like to put online. I can draw fine, but does anyone know how to color? I can use colored pencils, but that doesn't scan well. How can I make the color look better?
There are many artist on the site to ask, the one I would recommend asking would be ThatArtGuy (because quality matters).

In the No Surrender book, Sunspot (citizen V) is claiming to be the strongest mutant. This is with Rogue also being on his team.
When i think of people like Warpath, Gentle and Colossus, I cant believe it. I even put people like Beast and Strong Guy ahead of him. What do you guys think? i would say may his endurance could be considered higher in his powered up form because he has

Galactus coming from the universe before the current one does not conflict at all with the idea that the infinity gems are from before the current universe. Galactus is not alone in existing since before the current universe. The One Above All, the Living Tribunal, and the Dweller in Darkness are also very likely to exist outside the universal life/death/rebirth

I've collected Marvel and DC RPGs since the 80's, but I'm new to running a role-playing game, especially classic Marvel. Is there another good (easyish) module to run next after DotO? Maybe something that could be run in 1-2 sessions? Thanks for any input on this-and thanks for reading this far!

Hey that tile set is awesome, did you design and print those? I had an ideal for a MSH accessory for making maps, but instead of maps it would be a book with tile sets so the Judge could assemble various maps on the fly but it looks like you had the ideal first. :

Thank you Necromancer for taking the time out to answer my questions, and thank you for assembling the CCC, I love it. I've been reading through it trying to familiarize myself again with the powers and how each one works.
I'm glad you like it. Hopefully, when the 2019 or 2020 update rolls out it will be much easier on the eyes and have more optional content included next time a

So mapping on roll 20 is easy to do or do you have to buy some generic maps and just "wing" it? Or can you create your own?
You can create your own with any photoshop program and upload them, or you can purchase maps uploaded to Roll20 by others. A few basic maps are available for free. Mapping on Rolls 20 is pretty easy, it offers a fog of war effect where the DM/Judge can un

Marvel Sucks Now, Have not Bought a Comic in Years.
I recently bought a 10pk of Marvel Comics from Ollies for 5.99. All the comics ranged from 1980-1992 :O
I also picked up some graphic novels: The Monster of Frankenstein complete, Days of Future Past and Age of Apocalypse Alpha.

So in case you haven't heard, Marvel is relaunching Fantastic Four. The original team returns this August, written by Dan Slott.
I tweeted that there was a time when an FF return would've gotten me excited, but no longer. Apparently Dan Slott cruises the #MarvelComics hashtag looking for people to block, because he blocked me out of the blue.
The way I worded the tweet, it could easily

There is actually a YT video on this but I can't recall the name of it presently. In which, they show the history of the current ret-conned MU by looking at all of the previous MU's that perished to give rise to the current version. The Inifinity Gems were way back near the beginning, long before Galactus' reality came in to existence. Technically, Galactus is considered to have arose in the "

Hola, Caballeros:
Just curious as to what everyone is currently using for maps. I've been running some campaigns for PC deities, and dungeon tiles have provided great environments. Also, Warzone Studios Battle Mats are pretty nice. I've been thinking of having a few maps I like (Lower Manhattan, Central Park) enlarged at Kinkos....
Suggestions?

I'm still working on this Sourcebook, but I've been going back and forth on a layout issue. I'm not sure if I want to do it as a single column format or to it as a more MSH classic 3 column format. The 3 column style requires smaller font but allows more interesting insertion of images. Single column might be a bit easier to read, allowing larger fonts, but can look a bit more

So I'll start with the question...Where would Tony Stark hide an Infinity Stone?
Basically, in our game timeline, the Illuminati were guarding the Infinity Stones, during which time, all the major heroes and villains disappeared (Think Secret Wars, only it doesn't look like they're coming back). With a threat looming back on Earth, our group must find and defend the stones, or ri

Knowing what I now about Bruce Lee (the king of overtraining) Id say his endurance is significantly better than excellent.
I've read about Bruce Lee's overtraining too. I think that's what killed him.
Actually, the cause was listed as unknown, but has long been suspected to have been related to the prescription medications he was taking at the time.
