A World Without Heroes, Is A World Without Hope! © 2001, 2024
At least it isn't another Batman flick. Seriously, Jason Momoa and his portrayal of Aquaman are an increasingly popular franchise. Jason Momoa does well with the female audience and has actually broadened the scope of his audience and introduced comic heroes to a whole different fan base.
To beat it all he done it with Aquaman, DC's most impotent comic hero. Who would have thought? It is a r

Just what we need, another trilogy of awful Batman films. DC is just so far removed from what is relevant in today's society that they just need to give it up. I'd much rather be interested in a 2nd Shazam film or a Mr. Miracle film. Anything besides grey washed out melodrama that has been tiresome since the 1980's.
Batman is probably the sole franchise that has kept them in business for the

Hello everyone!
I've been gaming since 1998 with AD&D and 2nd ed, got into other gaming systems until I discovered MSH from a friend running an Avengers game at the local gaming store in 2003. I've been playing the game ever since. Right now I have three kids, and actually got an account because I was going to ask some questions about some things I've been trying to find, but

How fast does Mecha-Godzilla City's assimilation power work? For example, it's sitting atop Mt. Fuji right now... but how long will it take to assimilate the whole mountain? ...and then the surrounding region? ...the whole island of Japan? Can it infect the water, as well? If so, how long would it take to spread throughout the oceans and then the entire planet to achieve its

I'm trying to create a game with fewer categories and wanted to go with the basic grid instead of the advanced grid. Most of my stats, however, used advance rules. Is there any way to convert advanced to basic?
- G.A.
Advanced and Basic use the same Universal Table, Excellent rank is Excellent rank in either system. I have to ask are you using the Expert Edition or something

Wait so you're saying you could increase energy emission to the rank of the energy control of the same type? What's you're reasoning?
Power Combination is a viable option, however it would require a Yellow Power FEAT roll for Kinetic Energy Control. With a Red FEAT Roll you could exceed your boundaries and possibly produce a MN (75) Kinetic Bolt, provided your Judge okays the Power C

It would mean you could produce an AM (50) Kinetic Bolt, which is the limit of Kinetic Control in your example, but it would require a Power FEAT roll in addition to all the normal rolls for success.

So I'm looking in the CCC, right? I'm building a character with super speed. But the I go to the Advanced Player Book and see this... Why are they different?? And which one should I use?
The tables in the CCC are a direct match for DEM's UPB. I suggest using whichever set of values you prefer for your game. They are both official tables.

As i read the new CCC, i noted some...irregularities.
1. The Movement table on page 2 seems underpowered compared to the UPB. I mean with Unearthly Rank in Hyper Running, one can run at a measly 150 MPH instead of 750?!!!
2. The power T14 Lightning Speed seems rather redundant with Hyper Speed and Hyper Running.
More nitpicking to follow...
I used the tables from the Advanc

Doom supplements with magic and minions. His overconfidence won't allow him to acknowledge a need for upgrades until the year 2099... excluding, of course, short term power ups like siphoning Silver Surfer's power, Galactus's power, the Beyonder's power... or upgrading his armor with a mystic metal found in another dimension.
yeah Doom always has some kind of new cool tech, alm

yeah. something like that. cheap back issues i've been a fan of for a long time. half priced books trade paper back sales , 50 cent bins etc.
Interestingly i found a comic book company out now - using newspaper print like the old days and new young(cheap) talent and their cover price for a new comic is 1.50!!!
the company is called Alterna Comics.
but only 1 out of 3 or 4 titles i

In honor of the new Avengers movie (hopefully you saw that it was out...), I present two issues of The New Marvel-Phile for this merry month of May! First up, Issue 12 features the Black Order (you may have seen them...), and Thanos's son, Thane!
Is the download link to this not working? I don't see it attached...
It works, click on "Issue 12" in the text.

I coulda sworn towards the end of Dragon publishing marvel rules, there was something about normal characters like the Punisher, they got more talents, etc. But I can't seem to find the rules. Does anyone else remember this?
This information also exists in the pages of Major Tom Sawyer's Ultimate Origins book.

Hello CMF community,
Thank you for the rich & extensive documentation you provide on this site. I have been into comics & their various mythos for many decades, but have always seemed to dabble with RPG's only on the periphery. I have most of the Marvel TSR sets (Basic, Advanced & MSH 1991) which I purchased mostly for collectability, with a small hope that I'd some da

Is there more than one Captain Barracuda? When I looked him up, he was in a more recent run where he fought the Secret Avengers. He sounds pretty cool though, I think I'll use him in a future game. Though the Proteus Horn seems similar to the horn that Dragonrider used.
Marvel probably resurrected him. It seems nearly all of the vicitims Scourge killed have found there way back to
