this is how I potentially saw it unfold

We started with
Cyclops, Emma, Colossus, Wolverine, Iceman and Nightcrawler.
vs
Flaming Fox, Force, Powersurge and Morning Star

Ok then after all this, we are left with
Cyclops, Colossus, Wolverine and Nightcrawler
Iceman (KO), Emma (KO) Both of whom are out in the open.
vs
Flaming Fox, Powersurge and Morning Star
Force (KO) but can be brought out of it by Flaming Fox

====================
Fox instills a good deal of health back into Force as the standing Xmen regroup, Then Heads Flies using sound towards the KO'ed Iceman and shrinks him down to 1/400th his size.

At this time Scott manages a quick head count and realises they are two short. Emma is where she fell And they are not able to locate Iceman.

Wolverine Quickly slaps Rsputin a few times to snap him out of it and Nightcrawler bamphs out to try and recover Emma before Scott can stop him.

Powersurge spots Nightcrawler Bamphing in and lays down a barrage of shots narrowly missing Nightcrawler as he returns to the group with Emma.

Meantime Wolverine picks up on Fox flying straight upward and realises that Icemans scent is all over him. Morningstar and Force lay a barage of fire over the Four Standing Xmen pinning them down for the moment. While Nightcrawler quickly checks Emma's condition a Frustrated Wolverine gets Colossus to Fast Ball Special him towards Fox and takes a hit on the way out from Force who is looking for some sweet payback as Force hits him knocking him off his trajectory sending Wolverine to double over the nearby lightpole.

Cyclops now decides to take the Gloves off or maybe his viser and unleases an all hell optic Blast towards PowerSurge Force and MorningStar, sending Morning Star flying backwards through a Brick wall and forcing the rest of them to scatter, but maintains his position to protect Emma.

This allows Colossus to break cover and hurl a nearby BMW coupe towards the flying Force who is clipped by the Bm'er and sent carrening off into the air through a double Glazed window.

Fox, now out of reach of Wolverine, unshrinks Iceman to his original size some 15 storeys up and allows iceman to Freefall (While staying attached and out of site.) Seeing the Deathdive cyclops points for Nightcrawler to assist and which the little barbed tailed elf bamphs out.

Nightcrawler recovers Iceman and successfully, (And unbeknownst to him, the Fox) to Cyclops and Emma's position. Cyclops again takes aim at Powersurge but misses as Morningstar, using his Light manipulation Blacks out the area around Emma, Cyclops, Iceman and Colossus while Powersurge improves Wolverines tan somewhat with a Monstrous Energy Blast, forcing Wolverine to through the side wall of a Dump truck.

Fox in the darkness latches onto the furry hide of Nightcrawler and while initiating some health recovery through a Monstrous Life drain which catches Nightcrawler, Thumps him once, KO'ing him.

A berzerker scream echos out of the belly of the dumptruck as an enraged/crazed/badly wounded Wolverine makes a V-line towards Powersurge while dodging the volley of attacks sent his way and Diverts into a dive roll at the last moment to get within reach of the distracted Morningstar.

Meantime a water gieser erupts from the top of the darkness and Colossus Charges out of the Darkness at Full Speed Towards Powersurge and hurls a Firehydrant Gridiron style at the distracted Powersurge.

Morningstar drops the Darkness as Wolverine starts slicing into him, Powersurge is hit square from the hydrant and falls 2 storeys stunned into the top of an old newstand.

As the darkness drops Cyclops, runs out ready to optic blastersize Fox into next week. A groggy Force recovers from the window and starts hitting Colossus with a flurry of solidified energy balls and is spotted by Cyclops who is about to take aim when Flaming Fox Blindsides him and latches on to recover some more health.

Wolverine Continues to Lay the pain down, Morning Star raises his shields as Colossus rips out a nearby lightpost that sparks as the electricity is servered from its base.

Cyclops falls unconscous beneath Fox moments before Rasputin Delivers a perfect T-Ball swing out of the park hit on Fox. Slamming a, down but not out, Fox through a reinforce Cement wall.

Force then Hits Wolverine with an incredible solidified Energy Ball sending him realing and allowing Morningstar a much needed reprieve.

Morningtar then rams Colossus with an Unearthly Bolstered Light blast hurtling him through the front plate Glass windows of the local Department store through the womens wear department and into the kitchen area taking out a concrete pillar on the way.

Wolverine launches himself at the side of Morningstar only to be stopped in his tracks by a wall created by Force.

While Rasputin, Fox and Powersurge regain their senses. Morningstar then turns his attention to a sluggish Wolverine and KO's him with a final Bolstered Light Blast.

Colosus recovers and charges out of the building.
Fox shrinks a 15 ton section of of wall. Powersurge Picks props himself up to hear a desturbance coming from the store and Force Flies down to Powersurge and Morningstar.

As Colosus emerges from the store he is first hit by the 15ton shrunked piece of reinforced concrete. Quickly followed by a combined blast from Powersurge, Force, and Powersurge effectively KO'ing him.

Don't forget... Force can't actually hurt Colossus. His Incredible Strength punches won't dent Peter's Amazing Organic Osmium skin.

The only solid advantage Force has vs the X-Men is his Monstrous protection from Psionics, which Emma would have a tough time breaching. Other than that he's just an Incredible ranked Tank with some edged attacks.

Yup I know. It was more for the visual than the actual damage. I am thinking that the 15ton reinforce concret and the combined blasts from PS and MS.

RECAP:

The X-Men: Nightcrawler has 'ported Cyke and Colossus to Frost's unconscious body on the far side of the industrial building. Iceman is still unconscious near the opposing team, while Wolverine is on the second story of the industrial building, sore, but still kicking.

The Others: Powersurge and Force have weathered the explosion of debris caused by Morningstar's thoughtless divebomb attack, while a very sore Flaming Fox picks himself up off the ground. Morningstar, relatively unharmed from the impact, but with a little under half of his energy reserves remaining, pulls himself out of the basement rubble.

ROUND 3

Cyke immediately sets to work bringing Emma back to consciousness. Nightcrawler informs him of Iceman, and that Wolverine is also MIA. Cyke tells Kurt to get Bobby, but the teleporter is too tired from his almmost non-stop porting since the battle began. Colossus keeps an attentive eye out.

In the meantime Force and Powersurge move to the wreckage that was once the entrance way to the industrial building. Flaming Fox reassumes normal size as he rises and Force helps him to his feet. Powersurge moves into the wreckage, landing in the debris filled basement, activating his super-strength and calling out for Cyclops or Colossus as he clears away debris. He gives Morningstar a brief but sharp chew-out and orders him to help look for the bodies of the X-Men. The synthoid joins in the search.

Force keeps an eye out as he stands near the edge of the caved in ground floor, while Flaming Fox secures Iceman's unconscious body, shrinking him, and carrying him back to the rubble.

Wolvie scouts out the scene from a safe distance, but quickly picks up on the scent of his teammates and begins making his way through the building back to them.

With Emma back amongst the living, Cyke fills her in on the situation and then has her perform a telepathic scan for surface thoughts. Nightcrawler and Colossus continue to keep a shapr eye out, as Wolvie begins to complete the last leg of his journey back to the group.

Meanwhile, Powersurge continues to desperately search the rubble for the bodies of his former teammates, the synthoid along with him. He calls out to Force and Flaming Fox that Nightcrawler and Wolverine might still be active. Force says he and FF should pursue Wolverine into the building. Flaming Fox puts Iceman down and returns him to normal size, telling PS and Mstar to watch out for him before shrinking down himself, taking to the air and following Force up to the second floor. They find no sign of Wolverine, so Force decides to return to the others, while FF does some scouting.

Wolverine joins up withe rest of the team, as Frost informs them that all of their opponents are active and clearheaded, but that Powersurge and the synthoid are presently engaged in a frantic search for what they believe are the bodies of Cyclops and Colossus, while the Flaming Fox is scouting the area in minute form. Cyke orders them all back into the building, double time, en route for a surprise attack on the bulk of the opposing team.

Powersurge continues his search, more hesitantly, ordering Morningstar to secure Iceman in a field of solid light and assume sentry duty. Morningstar heads up to ground level and wraps Bobby in a field of solid light, while surrounding himself in a protective field. Force arrives back at the scene and takes up a bird's eye vantage point of the area, as Flaming Fox begins on the final leg of his search pattern of the general area.

Ordering Frost to hang back and remain hidden while setting up a telepathic network amongst the team, Cyke leads the remainder of the team forward and into position.

Cyclops strikes first with an optic blast that smashes thorugh Morningstar's forcefield and sends him staggering several steps backwards. Both Colossus and Wolverine follow hot on this attack, with Colossus leaping over the gaping hole in the floor and charging full tilt into Morningstar, knocking the synthoid flat. Wolverine on the otherhand nails Powersurge's with a flying tackle, taking him down to the ground.

Morningstar flashes, blinding Colossus and sending him stumbling back, this allowing the synthoid to get back to his feet. He would much prefer to not get hit by Colossus again.

Force immediately dives into the building and quickly locates Cyclops, only to see that Scott has already located him (thanks largely to Frost). An optic blast knock Force clean back out of the building, across the spacious lot and into the chainlink fence that surrounds the area; which he bounces off of before coming to rest on the ground. Force would prefer to not get hit, by anyone, again. Nevertheless, he musters his resolve and forces himself back on to his feet.

Meanwhile, in the basement, Wolverine has Powersurge fully mounted and begins reigning viscious punches down on him. Not prefering to get hit anymore himself, Powersurge manages to activate his energy sheath, causing Wolvie to howl in pain as the flesh begins to searing off of his adamantium bones. The Wolvster retreats several steps, grimacing in pain, as Powersurge stumbles back to his feet and begins to fly out of the basement.

Flaming Fox spots the ensueing battle, moving in to health drain a blind/stunned Colossus even as Morningstar reestablsihes his forcefield and takes to the air. Force spots Colossus, and knowing that this will probably hurt him more than the Big Guy, nevertheless goes for a full throttle charge on the vulnerable Russkie. Force's charge drives the Russian back a step or two, but also sends him stumbling back several steps from the impact, his ears ringing and body hurting now more than ever.

Nightcrawler manges to 'port into the combat with Colossus, tripping up Force as he stumbles and sending him, indignantly, to the ground.

However, as a disoriented Powersurge rises up out of the basement, he is caught by Cyclops' optic blast and taken out of the combat.

As Morningstar rises ever higher into the air, he pumps the last of his energy reserves into his photon blast and nails Colossus with it; sending him stumbling into the basement.

Flaming Fox hits the basement and former entry hall with his sonic resonance, but Emma immediately notes this and is able to psionically counter it's hypnotic effects (but can't help Wolvie), while Nightcrawler 'ports out of combat, and Cyke fires off another broad arcing blast that nails both Force and Flaming Fox; knocking both across the lot and into the fence that surrounds the area. Flaming Fox gets to his feet, but this time Force does not rise.

Morningstar moves towards Cyclops position glowing with the brilliance of a small star and firing off an broad-arcing photon blast, that nails Cyclops and sends him and the floor plummetting into the already rubble strewn basement.

Thanks for the response, NM!

Well should she discover Streak's weakness, he doesn't really stand a chance. Even if she doesn't, her Shift Y plasma attacks will be dealing 100 damage each time they hit. His Agility is his only chance of avoiding a quick defeat.

Well Eon's dealing 50 damage to Streak every time he whacks him with his hammer and is attacking at Unearthly accuracy. Streak is attacking at Monstrous accuracy but his punches are only dealing 6 damage to Eon. Statistically, there's little chance Streak has of winning.

Well, for starters, Mindstorm's Shift X Telepathy would not work on Guardian since he has a Psyche of Class 1000. That means he has to use his TK, which is partially negated by Guardian's body armor. I think Mindstorm would get in a few good hits but his lack of working telepathy would be his undoing. As you said, Guardian's Iron Will would soak up the initial strike and let him get close enough to use his sword on Mindstorm's Personal Force Field. Bam, that's gone and the blow strikes Mindstorm himself. It's over.

Only if she hits, and there would be circumstances where she couldn't use those indiscriminately. Fight her in space and she'd indeed be free to go all out, particularly if just back from the sun. Fight her in a crowded city and she'd be forced to be more cautious to not be her own 9/11 or Stanford incident. Once you start throwing around attacks above the Amazing rank, particularly ranged attacks you have to be mindful where they'd end up hitting in regards to collateral damage. Which with his Agility he's got a significant chance to dodge her attacks, although if pressed she might end up in the position of power stunting a spherical burst to try and defeat his ability to dodge, similar to how in Palladium you can't dodge explosions you can only roll with them to reduce the damage. The odds of discovering his weakness are pretty weak unless in some area where strobing lights are going off to trigger it and give her a chance to exploit it. Other than classic Dazzler strobe light attacks aren't a common attack by light-manipulating characters.

Which is where tactics come in, to move things more in ones favor. Particularly given Streak's regenerates considerably faster than Eon and can fly much faster as well. Eon's health is also 80% what Streak's is putting his Zero health point closer than Streak's by a fair margin. Plus the common tactic used against Thor to move in and pound him whenever his hammer's in flight and unavailable (although true Eon makes up for that by the unlikelihood of being berift of both Hammer and Shield at the same time).

Well that was one reason for going with Guardian, since there aren't many characters who wouldn't be an almost automatic take-down against someone with Shift X Telepathy (or TK for that matter). He at least has a chance to take the fight to Mindstorm rather than be an easy long-distance win. Even Seraphim ( [www.classicmarvelforever.com] ) would be a fairly easy loss unless she's got the Mind Gem or a psionic augmentation device of some sort. While she'd be safe from the Telepathy she has nothing that'd get through an Unearthly rank TK Force Field unless she could somehow combine her powers for enough of a CS to breach it and do that while dealing with Shift X damage TK bolts coming her way. Most of what I've posted would end up easy losses (like Huntsman) or end up quite likely easy wins (Starfox wouldn't take long blasting through the force field and Mindstorm at the same time).

Someone to make for an interesting challenge for Force would be Super-Freak ( [www.classicmarvelforever.com] ) given her health isn't quite as good as his and the damage she can inflict is only a bit more than he can deal out to her. Any hits he gets in do 20 to her any she gets on him do 35. It come down to how well he could get into and out of combat before she could strike with his enhanced speed, otherwise she'd have the edge simply for her ability to gain that 4CS bonus to FASE.

Another possible challenge for Force is Retribution ( [www.classicmarvelforever.com] ). Has a bit more health, and a seriously trained and focused fighter who'd make use of disorientation tactics and his knock-out gas if he found himself unable to take Force out via conventional damage. Likely even lure him into an area where he could collapse a wall or some other object onto him that'd be beyond his ability to lift to trap him.

Something I really have to wonder, is Cyclops EVER going to get at least palm controls for his visor, if not a nice cybernetic interface so he's not left with that obvious weakness of having to reach for his visor to turn it on and manipulate it? I mean really that gets so old, like the Silver Age Atom always running into someone putting him into a death trap by ensuring he couldn't use his size-weight controls on his belt until they finally gave him a mental interface after his time trapped in the Amazon as a munchkin doing the Tarzan deal with that race of shrunken aliens. Then stripped him of that during Zero Hour. He's got some of the smartest minds around you'd think at least one would have fixed that problem ages ago.

Cyclops prolly does have Palm Controls to his Visor…..

I mean, all it has to be is a wire strung down to his hands… But putting his hands over his ears prolly helps him Aim, a little bit……

Maybe his Eye-Beams have the kick of a mule…. But mainly I think the Authors simply want readers to Know he’s about to blow daylight thru someone’s chest….

Flexor Vs Powersurge

Just to toss out a homebrew villain against a homebrew hero I thought I'd toss Flexor ( [www.classicmarvelforever.com] ) into the mix and of those currently in the ring someone who wouldn't be a certain win or loss.

Given the two characters I would imagine that they'd meet at a point where Flexor's in his villain ID acquiring something with PS coming across him in the act and seeking to stop him. So he'd likely have up the default powers of True Invulnerability, Danger Sense, Human Changeling, and Hyper-Intelligence.

With the Danger Sense active Flexor realizes some danger is coming his way, giving him roughly a 6 turn warning at best and an idea where the danger's coming from. At which point he'd switch out his Hyper-Intelligence long enough to use Clairvoyance to view whoever's coming and get some idea what the threat is. I don't see either of them knowing each other or having any idea of each other's powers (other than what PS is likely displaying arriving on the scene of the breaking and entering) as Flexor prepares himself since what he's after prompts him to have to stay and try to fight it out (otherwise he'd just teleport away and no real encounter at that point).

Flexor will be pretty much locked into his Human Changeling power since it's necessary to maintain his villain facade and his True Invulnerability to deal with the obvious physical hazards of things. He'll also likely keep the Danger Sense unless he just has to swap out both his other powers due to the combat benefits it provides. So for the 'floating' power he'd most likely switch to something that would be a nemesis to what obvious powers PS evidences. So likely an Energy Control power, and if necessary drop a power for the rank benefit the remaining powers would get. He wouldn't drop below TI and Human Changeling though, although would if desperate drop the TI and replace it with something impressively powerful for a quick KO or an escape power. He'll instinctively switch to Immortality if put into a dying state though.

I can see things going Flexor's way in most cases due to his flexibility and the unpredictability it brings, although with his low health and fairly average FASERIP when not boosting them he's vulnerable to being taken out if PS were to hit him hard and fast enough he didn't have time to shuffle his powers effectively. But his TI and Danger Sense do give him a good shot at handling things.

Flaming Fox Vs Silverbolt
January 16, 2010 03:07AM

It was something of a challenge finding a match-up that wasn't too one-sided, but I think while it'd be close a face-off between Flaming Fox and Silverbolt ( [www.classicmarvelforever.com] ) that Silverbolt can bring off a win. While he's considerably lower in health and FASE he has several advantages including being protected from the Health Drain touch due to his living armor and the sonic hypnosis by the armor as well. The Shrinking tactics would be the most problematic but Silverbolt would retain enough of his abilities to be able to compensate for it, particularly with his armor's ability to increase some features at the expense of others. After trading their first blows and getting some idea of what Flaming Fox is capable of and a few judicious uses of his Energy Absorption ability I can see Silverbolt going for some augmented attacks to knock down FF before it was too late, particularly if he'd taken damage and FF had stopped tossing off energy attacks he could absorb to convert into health and boosted return attacks.

RECAP:

The X-Men: Cyclops rests unconscious in the basement of the industrial building, while Iceman rests unconscious in the nearby lot wrapped in a field of solid light. In the debris strewn area adjacent to Cyclops lurks a smouldering, severely burned, and very angry Wolverine, while a very sore Colossus begins to rise just a few feet away from him. Further back, somewhere in the still intact portions of the building lurks Emma Frost, keeping tabs on the surface thoughts of everyone and relaying all relelvent information to the rmaining X-Men. Nightcrawler bampfs in at her side.

The Others: Powersurge rests unconscious in the basement of the industrial building, close to Wolverine and Colossus, while Force lays unmoving on the far side of the lot, by the chainlink fence. Flaming Fox hovers at the foot of the drop into the basement in micro-form, while Morningstar shines with blindingly light about 30' above the floor of the basement.

With everyone momentarily blinded by the glare of Morningstar's prescence, Flaming Fox shields his eyes and relies on his sonar to fly into the basement, where he shrink Powersurge down to micro-size while transferring a good half of his ever-dwindling life-essence into the mutant, thereby reviving him. Morningstar continues down to Cyclops location, pulling him from beneath a bit of rubble and surrounding him in a tight fitting field of black light.

Both Emma and a snarling Wolverine get on Colossus about what's transpired, and he immediately hefts up a very large nearby canister and hurls to where Wolverine indicates. Both Powersurge and FF are hit. Flaming Fox grimaces in pain and sighs with fristration. Powersurge is again unconscious.

Frost and Nightcrawler begin to make their way closer to the battle zone.

Flaming Fox shrinks the twisted remains of the canister Colossus threw, bewildering the Russian and the Canuck for a brief moment, and then hurls it back as he reverts it to full size. It slams into both of them, twisting and contorting off the resilence of Colossus but smashing Wolverine with a nastiness that sends the Canuck sprawling, unconscious, to the floor.

Colossus hefts the even more twisted remains of the canister, and begins to quickly swing it back and forth in front of him as he advances on what he (correctly) believes to be Flaming Foxes position. However, the nearby Morningstar wraps the Russians legs in bands of solid light, causing him to fall.

Frost and Nightcrawler arrive at the battle-zone. The latter immediately engages in multi-ports around the battle-zone scene, bampfing in and out at random locations, distracting Morningstar and Flaming Fox, as Colossus easily shatters the bonds about his legs and gets back to his feet. And in the meantime, Frost zeros in on Flaming Foxs' mind.

A moment later, FF grows back up to fullsize, turning towards Colossus with a smile and a friendly wave of the hand.

Colossus moves in on FF, hurling a devastating punch at him. While Morningstar is able to hastily erect a field around his allie, the mutant's blow punches straight through it, bloodying FF's face and sending him flying straight back into the exterior basement wall. As Colossus moves in to finish the stunned FF off, Morningstar fires off a photon blast at the ground beneath Piotr's feet, causing the Russian power house to fall.

Flaming Fox shrinks down, flies out fo the wall, and with the added incentive of some underlaying resentment regarding Morningstar's earlier divebomb attack, nails him with his hypnotic resonance attack.

FF then tells Morningstar to lower his guard and be at ease, at which point Colossus gets back to his feet and clobbers the synthoid with a KO blow.

With Flamong Fox, the only remaining member of the X-Men's opposition still on his feet, firmly under the "White Queen's" control ... checkmate.

X-Men take the victory. Narrowly.

Things might have gone very differently if not for Morningstar's divebomb screw up, and the ensueing, time-wasting chaos. To say nothing of how they might have gone if Powersurge had the oppurtunity to whip these guys into a functional team, and maybe recruit a certain telepath of his own that he has been seeing recently.

Just curious if emma was down. Who had first aid to bring her back? (The only one who could have was nightcrawler.). It was un unfortunate chain of events. Emma was always going to be the card that won the day. Otherwise Xmen would be eating hunble pie.

As you could see from my entry leading from the end of your first post I envision the battle ending differently.

But good write up none the less.

VERY NICE story writing PowerSurge….

But now you opened a can’o’worms for yourself……

I submit ‘Brock’ to Join your team of Flaming Fox / PowerSurge / Morningstar / Force

BROCK <==== url

Write-Up and Specs about 1/3 down.

After the Checkmate; The X-Men finally overwhelm and KO the surrounded Fox, although he puts up as much fight as he could…. They leave Fox limp in the dirt, face-down……

The 6 X-Men gather-up and depart the Industrial Complex……

Moments later Brock silently appears from the darkness and gathers PowerSurge’s Team one by one… The 4-man ‘HB’ crew lay unconscious before Brock’s feet….

Dirty, Bloody, Broken, Bruised and Humiliated….. (But not Defeated)

As the dawning sun barely cracks light over the night horizon, Brock kneels next to each member of PowerSurge’s team, resurrecting them to full capacity with just simple a touch….

The four men are hesitant to talk or ask questions, and are secretly more concerned with Brock’s national allegiance due to his black and iron-clad ‘Nazi’ uniform….

After a few moments of awkward silence… PowerSurge finally speaks up.

“Who the hell are you???”

Brock replies by placing his index finger vertically over his lips, indicting the sign language of be quiet…. Then Brock claps his hands in a very soft and slow tempo….. And Brock speaks softly in a callused and horse voice...

“A man with initiative… A very rare commodity in this day and age”

Brock then steps over to Force, lightly placing one hand on Force’s shoulder…. Force, uncertain of how to react, just stands still…..

“Your greatest teacher is your enemy” Brock states with more assertiveness….

Force then answers abruptly by wriggling Brock’s hand off his shoulder…

“If you didn’t notice we just got our asses handed to us… You here to help, Or are you just a vulture???”

Brock replies…. “Let’s see how your Team fairs if The Physics are Different.”

Brock snaps his fingers and the Industrial Complex goes into a massive transformation all around the five men. Slowly the environment transforms; Finally settling into a Modern-Day Urban Ghetto in the midst of a war torn conflict…

Gunfire, cannons, and explosives can be heard in the far distance….
The tell, tell rattle and chatter of tank tracks can be heard between the ringing silence of the guns; seeking their next foot-hold and vantage point.

Followed by each periodic explosion the voices of Soldiers barking incoherent orders and relaying verbal information can also be heard….

Seemingly and in complete safety, dead-smack in the broad open, the five men stand tall looking all around the chaotic urban war-zone…

Small groups of people scurry from one building to another, seeking shelter from unseen assaults…. They are mostly family people; tattered men, and women, and children simply trying to get out alive.

MorningStar, almost pointing with his finger, identifies a figure he vaguely remembers….. As Cable (Nathen Summers) makes a subtle cameo appearance, ducking behind a short concrete wall for cover and concealment….. Just as quickly as he was seen, the Psychic-Supa-Solja vanishes into the Urban War-Zone scenery…..

In the twilight of the dawning sky, a Lockheed-Blackbird can be seen making it’s vertical decent into the background scenery….

Force, watching the Aircraft closely says;
“A standard Lockheed-Blackbird of that model can’t land or launch vertically”

PowerSurge then diverts his attention back at the other four around him….
“I guess we’re Training Fodder the X-Men… Or maybe it’s the other way around… Either way let’s Move”…..

OK PowerSurge….. Lead the ‘Home Brew’ Team to Victory…..

Cyclops / Emma / Colossus / Wolverine / Iceman / Nightcrawler

-=VS=-

Flaming Fox / Powersurge / Morningstar / Force / Brock

(Game Mechanics)….. Advantages for PowerSurge to work with…..

During the touch to Force’s Shoulder, Brock has given Force EX:20 (20 Points of Energy) to ALL of his Power aside from FASERIP….. Force is completely unaware of this transfer of Energy….. Force will have this advantage through out the Scenario…. (His IN:40 Powers go to SN:60… etc, etc)

On the other hand… Brock has degraded all his own Powers by 20 Points to give this advantage to Force…… As well. Brocks ‘Fighting’ and ‘Endro’ Ranks have been reduced by 10 points each.

Fox would approach Force and touch him where Brock has touched Force.

Performing Psychometry on the area fox would pick up on the Malevolence of Brocks residue essence left behind.

Turning to Brock.

I just created a homebrew for those that want to include him in future matchups:

He's an NPC I use at times. he's a little on the tough side, as he's ment to give a 4-5 person team of moderate power levels some dificulty. He can stand up to super heavyweights, but he wouldn't last long with Thor types. He might give them some stuff to think about for a few minutes though.

I dunno, Capo... his sword does magic damage, which means he'd slice right through the Thor-types' armor/protections easily. That combined with Amazing Fighting and he might win the day... and even if he doesn't, Thor or Wonderman or whoever are kneeling nursing huge slices in their bodies, bleeding all over the place. His only real weakness there is his mere Excellent body armor. Can he bolster that via magic?

Also, are you interested in seeing our take on what a full fledged Seraphim would look like? My wife's character from Mr Happy's awesome game is an angel. I'd be happy to share her stats if there's any interest. smiling smiley

I'd be very interested in seeing your version of a fully-fledged angel. The more the merrier, but even more important, i think seeing other people's interpretations are a great source of inspiration.

As for your questions about Fallen Angel, yeah he does have a magical weapon which is an impressive toy in his arsenal. But it can also be taken away, or knocked free of his grip, at which point Fallen Angel is about on par with guys like Spidey, and i think he'd lose there.

As for the Body Armor, no that isn't something he's able to bost via Magic. When he faces damage that's a serious threat, he uses the Ankh of Osiris to create his force field.

And thanks everyone for the compliments. I appreciate it very much.

Of course he would. That's a 1200 point build she's sporting. winking smiley

The cool thing is that you can tailor an "angel" kind of build for almost any power level, from street level to Silver Surfer level.

As a side note, I just commissioned Mr Happy to do a picture of Avaria for my wife. When it's ready I'll share it here if folks would like to see it.

Sorry, Tanker. I'm a little to busahed from the first HB-Men vs. X-Men battle to run through essentially the same battle again. Your character would probably might a big difference, especially with the boost he gave Force; who can now hang with Colossus and simultaneously pay Frost nevermind.

In the spirit of Capo's and Punstar's angelic characters, I submit Drighten ...

Hmmm, no response at all. How disappointing after the trouble to try and come up with a match-up that wouldn't be too one-sided either way.

Flaming Fox -=VS=- Silverbolt

This is a fairly even match up…. At first….. But after these two start trading hits back and forth I’d see Silverbolt start winning….

Flaming Fox would have start using Karma to equal out the battle…. And Fox doesn’t have huge sums of Karma to work with….

FASERIP wise Flaming Fox has the advantages, with a combined HP / KP of 296… But Silverbolt is not too far behind at 260 combined HP / KP…. It’s only 30 points difference…. As well, at my Game Table the RIP Ranks are just as important as the FASE Ranks….

I’d see Silverbolt using his AM:50 ‘Reasoning’ and ‘Talents’ to pretty much out smart Fox and end-up using Fox’s Powers against himself….

Fox has the advantage of higher ‘Fighting’ and ‘Agility’…. But Silverbolt has quite a few ‘Talents’ that will bump his ‘Fighting’ and ‘Agility’ to nearly equal levels…

‘Strength, Endurance, Intuition, and Psyche ’ are pretty much even between the 2 Characters….

Now consider ‘Armor’ and Defensive capabilities of both Characters…. Just glancing back and forth at the two Write-Ups…

Silverbolt:
- RM:30 Armor to conventional Physical / Energy Attacks
- AM:50 Sensory protection to all 5 senses.
- AM:50 Regeneration and Full Fledged Nano-Tech Healing.
- MN:75 Energy Absorption… Redirect reserves to ‘Strength’ or Weapon Systems
- UN:100 Set Invulnerability to Toxins, Gases, Drugs, Disease, Radiation
- UN:100 Life Support to live in Space for prolonged periods

Flaming Fox:
- EX:20 Armor to conventional Physical / Energy Attacks. Also ‘Reactive’ Fire Sheath Armor.
- AM:50 Sonic ‘Bubble’ Shield or ‘Hamster Ball’ to act as ‘Armor’ against attacks from any angle.
- SV:65 Drain HP to act as Full Fledged Regeneration. Redirect reserves to Health Only
- AS:80 Sonic ‘Battle’ Shield that can ‘Block’ TR:85 Attacks.

Ummmmm…. Silverbolt appears to have the ‘Armor’ and Defensive advantages…. With that alone I’d usually gamble on Silverbolt to take the Win…. Silverbolt can simply take more punishment, and in a DEATH MATCH the combatants are gonna take punishment from each other….

Now consider ‘Weaponry / Targeting / Sensory”…

The first few Attacks Silverbolt and Fox throw at each other are gonna be nullified…. Most of the fighting will be Ranged Combat and I don’t see Silverbolt letting the fight go into Melee Combat….

While I do see Fox trying to get in close for Melee Battle, Silverbolt would ‘Scan’ Fox and quickly discover that Melee Combat is Fox’s advantage….

Fox’s Shrink Powers I see being used to either Character’s advantage 50/50…. Shrink Silverbolt and he’ll fly away unnoticed or get under Fox’s skin…. Shrink Fox and Silverbolt will still be able to ‘See’ Fox with his enhanced vision…

If a ‘Tiny’ Fox gets under Silverbolt’s skin I’d see Silverbolt’s nano-tech killing Fox quickly like an infection…. Thus, Fox would probably end-up battling Silverbolt at equal size….

Prolly both Characters would end-up battling while being ‘Small’ fighting each other in a massive environment like two little-tiny Hornets ….

I see Fox trying to use that to his advantage and give Silverbolt a few [-CS]…. But after say 3 to 5 Game Rounds Silverbolt would make mental and perspective adjustments…..

Next would be Silverbolt’s ‘Adaptability’… I see Silverbolt using this to counter-act Fox’s Shrinking Powers…. Again, I see both Characters battling each other at the same size….

After a few shots are traded between Silverbolt and Fox; Silverbolt just bumped his AM:50 ‘Cannons’ to about MN:75 or UN:100 or something even higher…. Not to mention Silverbolt’s ‘Strength’ may also increase giving Silverbolt the advantage in Melee Battle….

Now consider ‘Mobility'

Both have True-Flight…

Silverbolt at UN:100
Flaming Fox at IN:40

Fox is gonna be more maneuverable with VI:55 ‘Fighting’ and SP:45 ‘Agility’ but it won’t be enough to give a sheer advantage over Silverbolt’s RM:30 ‘Fighting and Agility’….. Well Silverbolt lacks ‘Talents’ for Ace Piloting but he’s well smart enough to figure it out in other ways….

And Silverbolt can easily fly out of Fox’s combat ranges for ‘Hit-Run’ aerial dog-fighting…. Pretty much meaning Silverbolt will avoid ‘Melee’ dog-fighting…..

End-Result:

Silverbolt for the WIN in a straight up ‘DEATH-MATCH’

I'm starting to think i should rename my character 'Emasculated Angel' : ) This is an interesting character in terms of abilities and background, and sort of reminds me of the Phantom in a way. I think Fallen Angel would put up more of a fight against him than he would have Avaria, but that Monstrous level offense on both the Physical and Energy level is no joke.
