I've posted a bit since joining, but somehow forgot to post an introduction before doing so, so I thought I ought to correct that. winking smiley

I'm 42 years old and am playing MSH again, for the first time in about 20 years. I'm running a chat game on Roll20 (for those of you that are familiar with it) and am starting to wonder if I've bitten off a bit more than I can chew. Well, I'll be finding out soon enough- that's for sure!

Other than checking out the occasional graphic novel from the Kansas City public library, I haven't bought and read a comic book since they were going for 50 to 75 cents each and printed on newsprint. I have discovered a lot of great cartoons, like Avengers assemble, X-men, Hulk Agents of Smash and others that are scratching that itch, though.

I also enjoy other classic RPG's (B/X D&D, Star Frontiers, Gamma World, etc) for their simplicity and ease of play. Not so keen on the newer RPG's with their complicated, bloated, rule books. My 42 year old brain does not process and remember rules as well as my 20 year old brain used to. confused smiley

Looking forward to chatting about this old game with you guys, on this excellent website. thumbs up

Hello,

Been running Super Hero RPG campaigns since when only Marvel basic was out. Including two different sets of rules I wrote myself. Recently came across Marvel Advanced (gave up on Marvel when I thought all there was was the basic set).

Loved it when I ran into the comment about the power lists that if you want to roll you can but there is no advantage to it. One of the concepts in the two systems I made is there are number of lists that you can pick from or roll on, rolling gives you points that you can use for random small advantages (there is more to it).

So I am starting a table top RPG session with Marvel characters with some of my adjustments. It's called SPAT (Super Powered Assault Teams) set in an alternate of the local reality.

If there is interest I will post my advantage/disadvantage rules for others to use.

Well, some people will like it and others may not. Don't let the "nots" discourage you, though. But you never know when those who will like it will run across it, so better to share now and anyone who's interested can find it.

My name is Luke, I registered for the site a while back and forgot to post but I am preparing to launch the New Mutants campaign this weekend so I wanted to get on and share some of what I've worked on in the past and to look for interesting characters to include. I also like using Heroclix with my campaign.

Will do. I am getting the New Mutants Heroclix team base so I can run a variation on Mutating Mutants to start based on what I have figures for.

Greetings, Luke. Interesting name Koltreg is. Tell me, are you involved with a webcomic of some sort?

I've written webcomics but I just came up with it as a name for a fake fighting robot like Voltron, Gundam, etc and just kept using it as a handle so I have a pretty wide Internet trail.

There is a Kol Tregaskes who I am in an internet fight for over the use of Koltreg.

I'm pretty sure you don't actually have to internet fight him. If you're using it, you're using it. You don't have to stop. If he's using it, and he doesn't wanna stop, he's not going to. Just think of it as a very exotic "Bob." You can have two Koltregs on the internets... but you get to be the cool one.

Hello,

I'm David Gallaher. I'm the author of the Darkstar and the Winter Guard mini-series from a few years back, along with the upcoming Green Lantern Corp mini-series debuting this month.

Last month, I started running a game based on Ben Grimm's Floating Poker Game featuring USAgent, Nightcrawler, Kitty Pryde, Luke Cage, Quicksilver, Mockingbird, and Nighthawk. It was a hoot -- and started with Sabretooth getting the powers of Hyperion from Squadron Supreme and ended with the team stranded on another world. My next session is April 18th and we're bringing in some new players, new characters and unlocking some cool new stuff. Looking forward to joining the conversation.
